libksnmp 0.2
libksnmp is a KDE library to access SNMP statistics. more>>
libksnmp is a KDE library that wraps around net-snmp to allow KDE applications to get SNMP statistics without the need to walk through net-snmp conflicts with autoconf/automake projects, using a KDEish C++ interface.
This library was initially wrote for my ATMOSphere project to simplify access ot SNMP statistics for routers compliant with this protocol.
Its just a wrapper around net-snmp, which does all the dirt work in a C way.
Also, this library is useful to avoid hacking around net-snmp "bugs" (or "features") with autoconf headers.
At the moment libksnmp can be used to access v1 and v2c compatible devices, in readonly way, with a simplified access to RFC1213-compliant devices.
For information on use of the library, please generate the doxygen apidoc, and
read it.
This is an experimental library for now, every contribution is well accepted,
if you want a CVS access to hack around, just contact me.

Gtk+ 2.0 Change Theme 0.3.1
Gtk+ 2.0 Change Theme is a tiny GUI application that aims to make theme preview and selection as slick as possible. more>>
As the name suggests, this little program lets you change your Gtk+ 2.0 theme. The aim is to make theme preview and selection as slick as possible.
Themes installed on the system are presented for selection and previewed on the fly. For a comprehensive demonstration theres a large variety of widgets.
It was originally derived from Gtk Theme Switch, but what started out as a hack to remove various nuisances now shares no code whatsoever anymore with the original.
Enhancements:
- Fixes for a number of a packaging glitches.

grml-small 0.1
grml-small is a bootable CD (Live-CD) based on Knoppix and Debian. more>>
grml-small is a bootable CD (Live-CD) based on Knoppix and Debian. grml-small includes a collection of GNU/Linux software for system administrators and provides automatic hardware detection.
Whereas grml (without the -small) provides more than about 2.1GiB of software on a 700MB-ISO, grml-small is a very small rescue system for systemadministrators.
It is not necessary to install anything to a harddisk, you dont even need a harddisk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression grml-small includes about 150 MB of software and still fits on a business card CD-ROM or USB device with 50MB.
Initial release of grml-small, a very small version of the grml-system. Notice that there are several hacks to reduce the ISO-size, so you wont find for example documentation and manpages on the ISO.
grml-small provides support for booting via USB, see http://wiki.grml.org/doku.php?id=usb for details.
Kernel is based on vanilla kernel 2.6.12 including several patches (MPPC/MPPE, Reiser4, Squashfs,...) but compared with the normal grml system the kernel features have been reduced. See http://grml.org/kernel/ for more details.

WeirdX 1.0.32
WeirdX is an X Window System server in pure Java under GNU GPL. more>>
WeirdX is an X Window System server in pure Java under GNU GPL.
It is derived from WiredX-Lite and will run on any platforms which support Java 1.1. This X server will not be suitable to exec heavy x clients, but you may find that twm, xterm, etc. will run fine on it.
WeirdX allows you to get secure X accesses via SSH2 X11 forwarding in pure Java. This functionality is based on JSch, which is a pure Java implementation of SSH2 and developed by JCraft under revised BSD license.
Main features:
- WeirdX handles x protocols directly.
- WeirdX supports core protocols of X11R6.3 partially.
- WeirdX is implemented with JDK 1.1.
- WeirdX runs as an application/applet.
- WeirdX supports Rootless mode.
- WeirdX runs as a TrueType font X Server if your JVM supports TrueType fonts.
- WeirdX supports the three mouse button emulation.
- WeirdX supports copy/paste operations between the native window system and x clients via CUT_BUFFER0.
- WeirdX supports 1bpp, 8bpp and 16bpp mode.
- WeirdX supports multibyte characters; Japanese, Korean and Chinese characters.
- WeirdX allows you to get secure X accesses in pure Java by using JSch.new!
- JRexec is included.
- WeirdX supports XDMCP.
- WeirdX supports dxpc(Differential X Protocol Compressor) with the assistance of JDxpc.
- WeirdX includes hacks for the alpha transparency.
- WeirdX supports EsounD compatible applications.
- WeirdX includes the XJS Extension written by Christian Werner.
- WeirdX is distributed under GNU GPL.
- WeirdX is not WiredX(please refere to section 1.5 in FAQ).

nzbperl 0.6.6
nzbperl is a newsreader utility that can process an nzb file, autodecode, and do bandwidth throttling. more>>
nzbperl is a newsreader utility that can process an nzb file, autodecode, and do bandwidth throttling.
Run Linux (or OSX or Windows)? Need a multi-connection newsreader utility that can process an nzb file and autodecode and even do bandwidth throttling? Youve come to the right place.
I looked around for something that I could use for nzb files on my Linux setup, and I soon discovered limited options. There are progs out there that will download nzb files (nzbget and knzb are apparently the most visible ones), but none seemed to have a key feature that I put importance on: bandwidth throttling. So, like many other one-off hacks and open source projects, this little toy was built to scratch an itch.
Main features:
- Automated parsing and sorting of nzb files
- Supports multiple server connections
- Automated parts downloading, assembling, and decoding
- Decodes uuencoded and yenc encoded files (via uudeview)
- User controllable bandwidth throttling (even change speeds during runtime)
- Nice colored text display with progress information
- News server authentication (optional)
- Perl script requires no compilation.
- Few dependencies
- Small footprint (about a 57kB download)

dietsniff 0.3
dietsniff is a network debugging-tool like tcpdump or ethereal. more>>
dietsniff is a network debugging-tool like tcpdump or ethereal. The difference to those powerful tools however is that dietsniff is linked against the dietlibc by Felix von Leitner and doesnt require the libpcap.
Therefore its really small while being static. ATM however the smaller size is also induced by the lack of features compared to those tools.
In fact its a fast hack as I needed to analyze traffic on a Astaro 4-box which hasnt neither tcpdump nor libpcap installed.
So I hacked together this fine little tool which helped me to find the problem so I guess it might help you too. Any feedback/patches/bugreports are strongly welcome!

Harvs Hamshack Hack 06
Harvs Hamshack Hack is a remaster of the KNOPPIX distro for Amateur Radio Operators (Hams). more>>
Harvs Hamshack Hack is a remaster of the KNOPPIX distro for Amateur Radio Operators (Hams).
This project is directed primarily at Amateur Radio enthusiasts (Hams) who have no prior experience with LINUX. Hopefully, experienced LINUX users (perhaps, even a "guru" or two) will give it a spin and offer corrections and suggestions for improvement ... in fact, they are obligated to do so!
The CD contains a complete LINUX-Knoppix operating system and enough software to accomplish the usual tasks we all perform daily from our homes ... web browsing, email, letter writing, etc.
In addition, there is a huge library of programs for our Amateur Radio hobby.
The Hamshack Hack is a "Live CD". As a "Live CD" system, no installation to your machines hard drive is necessary. The whole package will run off the CD by building a "ram disk" in your machines memory. As soon as you re-boot your machine, the LINUX system vaporizes and youll be back with whatever system is installed on your hard drive.
To obtain your very own copy of the "the Hack", you must download the "hamshack.iso" image file and then, using your favorite CD burner (I use K3B on Linux, or Nero on Windows), burn the image to a CD. Pick the "Burn CD Image" option, else youll end up with just another copy of the .iso file. Then, when the smoke clears, youll boot your machine with this new CD.
