The Audio File Library provides a uniform and elegant API for accessing a variety of audio file formats, such as AIFF/AIFF-C, WAVE, NeXT/Sun .snd/.au, Berkeley/IRCAM/CARL Sound File, Audio Visual Research, Amiga IFF/8SVX, and NIST SPHERE. Supported compression formats are currently G.711 mu-law and A-law and IMA and MS ADPCM.

Key goals of the Audio File Library are file format transparency and data format transparency. The same calls for opening a file, accessing and manipulating audio metadata (e.g. sample rate, sample format, textual information, MIDI parameters), and reading/writing sample data will work with any supported audio file format. Likewise, the format of the audio data presented to the application need not be tied to the format of the data contained in the file.

Aasm is an advanced assembler designed to support several target architectures. It has been designed to be easily extended and, should be considered as a good alternative to monolithic assembler development for each new target CPUs and binary file formats.

Aasm should make assembly programming easier for developer, by providing a set of advanced features including symbol scopes, an expressions engine, big integer support, macro capability, numerous and accurate warning messages.

Its dynamic modular architecture enables Aasm to extend its set of features with plug-ins by taking advantages of dynamic libraries.

The input module supports Intel syntax (like nasm, tasm, masm, etc.). The x86 assembler module supports all opcodes up to P6 including MMX, SSE and 3DNow! extensions.

F-CPU and SPARC assembler modules are under development. Several output modules are available for ELF, COFF, IntelHex, and raw binary formats.

Real Rekord is a KDE programme which helps you record and capture audio streams from Real Player using GNU/Linux.
It lets you record realaudio/realplayer streams by using vsound 0.5 (sits between program and /dev/dsp) and sox (converts audio file formats).
This version has an updated build for KDE 3.2 (probably works with KDE 3.1).

QVV is image viewer based on TrollTechs Qt Toolkit! QVV is small, simple, handy ( last one is IMO ). However the sources are there -- you can come up with your own opinion.

NOTE: QVV 0.16 AND LATER VERSIONS REQUIRE QT 3.x!

QVV allows you to browse directories with lynx-like interface, view images browse next/prev image while showing image window or in the directory list, multiple image windows and directory browsers can be opened/closed with a single key, panning easy with arrow keys or mouse and few other things as well.

QVV is only few hundred lines of source code and handles as much file formats as Qt does -- JPEG (all sorts of jpegs that jpeglib supports), PNG, GIF, XPM and more..

pyNetConv is a Python library created to help the conversion of some network file formats.
Since version 0.6, pyNetConv is capable to read/write (and convert from/to) the following file formats:
- Pajek network files (.net)
- Pajek cluster files (.clu)
- Cytoscape network files (.sif)
- Cytoscape node attributes files
- GML files
And from version 0.8 it is able to import tab-separated values exported by Affymetrix Micro Array Suite 5.0 (MAS5) and export this data as Cytoscape node attributes or expression data (.pval file).
pyNetConv is a library to create a software that is able to read/write networks in the formats supported by pyNetConv. If all you want is convert the files without the need create a program, then the Graphical user interface is for you. See the screenshots session to see how the GUI looks like.
Enhancements:
- Support for isolated (not connected) nodes in SIF format was added.
- The SIF, NET, and GML formats now support direction and isolated nodes.
- A NX2netconv() method was added (complementary to netconv2NX()) along with a new filter option in importSIF().
- It is now possible to import only selected interaction types.

repasa is a set of three kind of tools: For creation of contents directly in the XML format of repasa or in other file formats (DocBook and LaTeX) following some conventions, for checking the contents, and for studying the contents and registering progress.

The contents can be specified with definitions, classifications for the definitions (possibly along with exercises), and sequences of study. repasa project is especially well suited to organize information according to the current legislation for education in schools of Colombia

Ecamegapedal is a realtime audio processor.

Ecamegapedal is a real-time effect processor software with a graphical user interface for controlling the effect parameters. It is meant to be used as a virtual guitar-fx
or studio effect box. In addition to real-time operation, Ecamegapedal also supports reading from and writing to audio files.

All audio object and effect plugin types provided by the Ecasound libraries are supported. This includes ALSA, JACK, OSS, aRts, over 20 file formats, over 30 effect types, LADSPA plugins and multi-operator effect presets. Ecamegapedals implementation is based on Ecasound and Qt libraries.

Primary platform for running Ecamegapedal is Linux. Ecamegapedal also works on many UNIX-derived systems such as FreeBSD and Solaris.

Ansilove/PHP is a set of tools to convert ANSi and artscene related file formats into PNG images, supporting ANSi (.ANS), BiNARY (.BIN), and ADF (.ADF) formats.
Ansilove/PHP project includes an all purposes command line converter, along with a library to use on web pages for doing "on the fly" conversions.
