Migshm is a DSM patch for openMosix. DSM Stands for Distributed Shared Memory. Migshm project enables migration of processes that use shared memory on openMosix (examples are apache, Xfracky etc).
Currently, one of the main limitations of openMosix is that applications that use shared memory and multi-threaded applications do not migrate on the cluster. Hence applications these cannot benefit from the load-balancing features of openMosix. Migshm aims to fill this need.
Migshm Stands for Migration of shared memory. Its not exactly a complete DSM as of now, but is sufficient for shared memory applications to benefit from openMosix.
Migshm enables migration of processes using SYSV shared memory through the shmget(), shmat(), shmdt() and shmctl() system calls. Threads created using the clone() system call can also be migrated using Migshm.

lvs-kiss is designed to make loadbalancing with fail over simple. The primary design-goal is for you to get loadbalancing with fail over up and running within an hour or so. Setting up a load balancing web server cluster with failover is trivial - see the example config.
Secondary design goal is to be able to make this software as powerful and flexible as possible. Embedding of Perl in configuration files and load balancing based on custom made tests should be possible without to much hassle.
lvs-kiss is developed by Linpro AS and is released under the GNU Public License. lvs-kiss is hosted at Sourceforge.

FIR filter Plugin is an effect plugin for XMMS which enables to filter audio data using long FIR (finite impulse response) filters. Typical applications is loudspeaker or room equalization which typically requires filters with more than 300 taps (filter weights).
The FIR filter plugin uses the fftw3 library to perform the filtering using the overlap-and-add method. If fftw3 is not available the plugin will perform the filtering (convolution) in the time-domain which is much less efficient for long filters.
