This is an FTP client implemented in PHP. It is freely distributed under a BSD-style copyright, which you will find in the source.
Version restrictions:
- If youre using PHP 3, you must have version 3.0.17 or higher to run this software. If youre using PHP 4, you must have 4.0.3 or higher.
Enhancements:
- Added more configurable items, such as the temporary directory and the maximum upload file size, since users seem to be changing these values frequently.
- Fixed nasty easily-exploited security hole in phpftp_put() function. This creates a dependency on the is_uploaded_file() PHP function.
- PHP 3 users must have version 3.0.17 or higher, and PHP 4 users must have version 4.0.3 or higher in order to have that function.
- Users will not notice any new functionality in the 2.2 release - no features have been added.

To view the contents of the feed just click the menu-item and it will launch in your favorite browser. It is written in Perl and uses gtk2-perl for its interface.

Rekall is a database front-end, somewhat in the style of MicroSoft Access. However, Rekall is not itself a database, and does not include a database.
By this we mean that data is stored somewhere else in an SQL server, and Rekall is fundementaly just a tool to extract, display and update that data (of course, it does lots more than that, it does forms and reports and scripting and .... you get the idea).
It is database agnostic, and does not have any preferred database in the sense that Access(tm) uses the Jet. database engine (although the Windows version can use the Jet database engine via an ODBC driver).
Rekall can do lots of the things that you would expect of a database front-end (or if it cant, let us know!). You can design and use forms and reports, you can construct database queries, and you can import and export data (actually, you can copy data, import is just copy file to table, and export is just copy table to file). You can also create reusable components which you can use in forms and reports, to reduce application development time.
Rekall can be scripted using the the Python language. You can arrange that a script is executed when various events occur (for instance, when the user changes the value of a control).
Scripts can be associated directly with the event, but you can also store scripts in script modules for more general use. And, of course, you have full access to all the modules that are available for Python. Plus, Rekall has an integrated Python debugger with syntax highlighting.
RekallRevealed is run as a community website to support the GPL version of Rekall. Rekall is being included by some of the Linux distributions, and commercial components and support are available from TotalRekall and from theKompany.
Enhancements:
Dynamic Layouts
- Dynamic layouts allow you to create forms where controls automatically resize depending on settings such as font sizes, and as the user resizes the form. This is based on QTs layout engine, althougn only a restricted set of functions are available.
Tool Boxes
- Personally, the author is not a fan of tool boxes, but they seem to be popular, so Rekall now supports them. If you still prefer the old context menu mechanism, you can turn tool boxes off.
Wizards
- Lots of the controls now have control wizards which prompt you for the important settings. Hopefully wizards will be avaialble for all controls by the time 2.3.x becomes 2.4.0
Stock Databases
- Stock databases. Rekall will come with some stock databases (actually there is only one at present, the demo database, but more will be added over time) which can be used to create your own database. In addition, you can download stock databases from the web. See the Rekall section on downloading the database that runs this website!
Manual
- The manual can now be accessed via a dedicated manual viewer (loosely modelled on QTs assistant program).
Other stuff
- Lots of bug fixes, lots of other smaller additions.
Enhancements:
- 2.2.6 is the now latest stable release.
- Mostly bug fixes since 2.2.4, particularly a problem related (I believe) to the default style used by Fedora Core 4

The unixODBC Project goals are to develop and promote unixODBC to be the definitive standard for ODBC on non MS Windows platforms. This is to include GUI support for both KDE and GNOME.
ODBC is an open specification for providing application developers with a predictable API with which to access Data Sources. Data Sources include SQL Servers and any Data Source with an ODBC Driver.
The two major advantages of choosing to code an application to the ODBC API are;
Portable Data Access Code
The ODBC API, as outlined by X/Open and ISO, is availible on all major platforms. Microsoft platforms include many enhancements to this specification; these enhancements are also supported by unixODBC
Dynamic Data Binding
This allows the user or the system administrator to easily configure an application to use any ODBC compliant data source. This is perhaps the single biggest advantage of coding an application to the ODBC API and to purchase these applications.
Dyamic binding allows the end-user to pick a data source, ie an SQL Server, and use it for all data applications without having to worry about recompiling the application.
The unixODBC team has reached this objective by providing the best technical solution to ODBC demands on the Linux platform. Also; ALL unixODBC development is and will be distributed under GPL or LGPL. The LGPL on libs will ensure that commercial solutions will be able to utilize unixODBC.

db2dot reverse engineers an existing database and produces an ER diagram in dot format.

The dot file can be fed through graphvizs dot to produce a pretty ER diagram. The diagram includes tables and relationships derived from db meta-data and foreign key constraints.

What format is the output?

It generates a dot file which can be turned into a diagram with the graphviz utility.

What database servers will it work with?

It has only been tested with MySQLs JDBC driver, but it uses only
generic java.sql.* classes so it should work with any JDBC driver which is
sufficiently advanced.

What license is the code released under?

db2dot is released under the GPL v2.0 license.

SportStat is a web based application for the recording and analysis of sports statistics.
SportStat project was designed to be used by high school teams and athletic departments. Because of this, it is (and unless plans change, will remain) home team centered.
This means that while the program can track your results against other teams, it will not track other teams against each other.
Enhancements:
- The init code was reorganized.
- Better filtering was added in phpMyEdit.
- A better install system was added for the example data.
- Custom queries can be logged.
- Formatting of the reports was improved.
- Numerous bugfixes were made.
