VAMP 2.0 Beta1
VAMP is a web-mail client written entirely in the PHP scripting language which can access POP3 mailboxes. more>>
VAMP is a web-mail client written entirely in the PHP scripting language which can access POP3 mailboxes. VAMP project features an interface not entirely dissimilar to other web-mail clients like Microsofts Hotmail or IMP.
The main goal of this project is to deliver a solid web-based E-Mail reading and composing platform that is fast, simple and easy to set up. VAMP also has some features rarely found in other web-mail packages.
"Virtual users" for example, which basically means that all E-Mails to a certain domain are put together in a single mailbox which is accessible through a POP3 server. VAMP then decodes this E-Mail box and allows several users to access their own E-Mails, and prevents users from viewing another users mail.
Main features:
- Easy to set up and maintain configuration using the Setup Tool
- Access to local and remote POP3 E-Mail boxes
- Ability to compose messages with attachments, carbon-copys etc...
- Each user has his own contact and signature database
- VAMP supports translation-on-the-fly to support different languages
- "Virtual users"
- Support for both MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Support for encrypting attachments (under PHP3)
- ...much much more...

Mimicry 0.4
Mimicry is a mail post-postprocessor daemon. more>>
Mimicry is a mail post-postprocessor daemon. It is easy to extend since the actual processing gets done in plugins. Mail messages are received and sent with SMTP.
Current functionality includes adding disclaimers to messages and compressing attachments on the fly. Selection of attachments to be processed is based on MIME-type, filename, receipient, sender, and (to a certain extent) the position of the message part within the message.
Main features:
- Programmed in perl
- A daemon that receives and sends mails via SMTP
- A program to inspect and manipulate mail parts (mime entities) within an SMTP flow
- Easily extendable by outsourcing the actual processing to plugins that get loaded during startup
- Coded with flexibility in mind
- Filterspecification with perl regular expressions
- A configuration file where you can specify lists of actions to be executed on mail parts, based on
- (envelope) sender and recipient
- mime type and path of mime types from top level entity to inspected entity
- recommended filenames
- and (to a certain extent) the position of the part within the mails mime tree
- And of course: licensed under the GPL

Php Gmail Drive 0.3.2
PhpGmailDrive (PGD) turns your Gmail account into a Web based file server. more>>
PhpGmailDrive is a new type of file sharing utility. Unlike typical file servers (say xDrive) it uses Gmail as backend file server. You can enjoy it simply by hosting a small PHP script in your web site without any database.
Gmail file space is more than 2GB, so you can imagine you already have such a big space on internet. However, you will require a Gmail account (If you dont have any Gmail address, go GmailSwap or ask your friends.).
PGD automatically connects Gmail server and fetches list of all attached files and generate downloadable links in a tree like view. If you are looking for a file server to upload your music or notes without any hassle, PGD is ideal for you. Technically speaking PGD is wrapper of Gmailer .
Thought there is no need to know hecks of PHP or Gmailer. Just you have to check that your PHP hosting service provider has curl extension of PHP to handle HTTP/HTTPS traffic.
Main features:
- Successfully connects to Gmail and only grabs list of Attachments in Gmail messages.
- List of attachments are displayed with inbuilt Javascript engine. You can customize output to any other formats.
- 100% compliant to GMAILFS. So you can upload with Windows Gmail Shell extension or Linux GmailFS utilities..
- Supports Multiple Gmail accounts in the same script .
- Supports all browsers.
- Total size is less than 100 KB.

MMSlib 0.96
MMSlib is a PHP library for encoding, decoding, and sending MMSes. more>>
MMSlib is a PHP library for encoding, decoding, and sending MMSes.
In short it is the successor of SMS (Short Message Service) with the enhancements that you can not only send text but basically any content type your phone can handle such as images, text, videos, ring signals and audio clips.
With this library you can create messages and add multimedia parts such as JPEG, GIF, AMR, MIDI and so on. Messages received from phones can also be unpacked and attachments can be extracted.
The library also contains a limited MMS sending functionality that uses a HTTP service to send SMS:es.
You would probably have to change the actual implementation of the SMS sending to fit your way of sending SMS:es (if it is over serial port, to a real SMSC or through some other type of HTTP service).
This is all done with the three classes MMSDecoder, MMSEncoder and MMSNotifyer.

email2fax 1.2
email2fax is a bash script that allows you to send a fax through your Asterisk PBX. more>>
email2fax is a bash script that allows you to send a fax through your Asterisk PBX.
email2fax accepts emails with a PDF or a TIFF attachment, and faxes them through Asterisk to a number specified in a subject field of the email.
Main features:
- it expects to find a fax number in a subject field,
- it expects to find one PDF or one TIFF attachment,
- if these conditions are met, it converts an attachment to the right format, and passes it to Asterisk, and instructs it to send it to a specified number.
As mail2fax wasnt really user friendly (it didnt support PDF attachments; TIFF attachments had to be in a special format), I decidet to write my own implementation.
Currently, email2fax depends on AstFax - that means, a processed attachment (which needs to have a right format) is passed to AstFax, which then passes it to Asterisk.
Usage:
- make sure your Asterisk box can receive faxes - Spandsp has to be set up correctly,
- download and extract email2fax package, dont forget about mpack and munpack, if you dont have them in the system (they are in the package)
- compose a sample message - attach a PDF file, and put a fax number in the subject field - save it on a disk as message.eml; copy it to your Asterisk box
- try to send your first fax from the command line:
cat message.eml | sudo -u asterisk email2fax --debug
- if it worked, congratulations, if not, make sure Spandsp is set up correctly (i.e., you are able to receive faxes), consult /var/log/asterisk/faxlog file, connect to asterisk console (sudo -u asterisk asterisk -crvvvvv), etc.
- if everything works, set up a .procmailrc for the asterisk user:
:0fw
| /var/lib/asterisk/m2f/email2fax
and try to send this same email directly to asterisk@yourasteriskbox
Enhancements:
- Handling multi-page TIFF files was fixed.
- All *.call files should now have random names.
