CMus is a small and fast music player using the ncurses library. CMus has vi-style command interface, e.g. searching using / or ? and adding files to playlist :add ~/foo.ogg.

cd player is a really small cd player for Linux with a curses-like user interface.

PicoStreamer is a complete server for live audio/video streaming. It can stream MP3, AAC, and video live using Flash FLV. PicoStreamer does not require any Flash server. It only needs a Web server with Perl and PHP. It requires neither expensive dedicated servers nor compilation on the target machine.
A source client (for Win32) is included. A management/playing framework written in PHP makes PicoStreamer simple to use. The PicoIcy component acts as a local shoutcast server emulator, so you can use your preferred shoutcast source client to stream or stream Flash format directly from the Web.

Ogle is a real DVD player that supports DVD menus and navigation. It can access CSS-protected DVDs if you have libdvdcss installed, take screen shots, and view movies in fullscreen mode.

Lien Mp3 Player is a mp3 and audio cd player for GNU Linux console.
All you need is a Pentium 90 or faster computer (you can do mono output if you have slower computer), GNU Library 2.0 or above and ncurses 5.

AutoLyrix is a program (not a pluggin!) created to download lyrics and AlbumArt (artwork) automatically. This software is very similar to EvilLyrics (at least the interface). Saved lyrics from EvilLyrics can be used by AutoLyrix. The only thing you have to do is run AutoLyrix and it will find a supported player running, get the current song and download the lyric for you. Volity::Player is a Perl module for Volity players, from a referees perspective.

An object of this class represents a Volity player present at a table. The referee creates one of these objects for every player who comes to that refs table. The player might not actually play the game (i.e. sit in a seat), but is nonetheless recognized by the referee as a potential game player and table presence.

In certain circumstances a ref may choose to keep an object for a given player persistent, even after that player leaves the table, while other times the players departure results in the objects destruction. Generally, it just does the right thing.

USAGE

You should never need to create or destroy player objects yourself; the referee object takes care of that. However, there are a number of methods defined by Volity::Referee and Volity::Seat that return player objects, so you may find yourself interacting with them anyway.

Volity::Game subclasses refer to seats more often than to individual players, since most game interaction takes place at the seat level.
