phpass is a portable PHP password hashing framework.
This is a portable public domain password hashing framework for use in PHP applications. It is meant to work with PHP 3 and above, and it has actually been tested with PHP 3.0.18, 4.3.x, 4.4.x, and 5.0.x so far.
The preferred (most secure) hashing method supported by phpass is the OpenBSD-style Blowfish-based bcrypt, also supported with our public domain crypt_blowfish package (for C applications), and known in PHP as CRYPT_BLOWFISH, with a fallback to BSDI-style extended DES-based hashes, known in PHP as CRYPT_EXT_DES, and a last resort fallback to an MD5-based variable iteration count password hashing method implemented in phpass itself.
To ensure that the fallbacks will never occur, the PHP Hardening-Patch may be used. The Hardening-Patch integrates crypt_blowfish into the PHP interpreter such that bcrypt is available for use by PHP scripts even if the host system lacks support for it. Hopefully, future versions of PHP will do the same.
Included in the package are a PHP source file implementing the PasswordHash PHP class, a tiny PHP application demonstrating the use of the PasswordHash class, and a C re-implementation of the last resort password hashing method (used for testing the correctness of the primary implementation only).
Enhancements:
- The framework test program has been enhanced in numerous ways, and a minor bug which had no practical impact in the framework itself has been fixed.

PHPCoder is a web based front-end to the Turck MMCache encoding functions, which are similar to the Zend Encoder product.

Turck MMCache is a free open source PHP accelerator, optimizer, encoder and dynamic content cache for PHP. It increases performance of PHP scripts by caching them in compiled state, so that the overhead of compiling is almost completely eliminated.

Also it uses some optimizations to speed up execution of PHP scripts. Turck MMCache typically reduces server load and increases the speed of your PHP code by 1-10 times.

PHPCoder enables you to encode your PHP scripts and applications into non reversible byte-code, thus preventing users of your programs from viewing or alterting the source code while having full functionality.

Another excellent use for PHPCoder is to encode your applications PHP configuration files, that way someone viewing your source code does not see your databae login and password information.

In addition to encoding PHP scripts PHPCoder allows you to set restrictions on the encoded scripts, you can lock a script to a particular server IP address, server host name, visitor IP, or even place a time limit on the script so it will expire after x amount of time.

PHP Coder also allows you to specify Text, HTML or PHP code that should be prepended and appended to each file before it is encoded, allowing you to easily and securely implement your own licensing scheme.

To use your encoded scripts your clients simply install the free Turck MMCache or the Turck Loader.

Description:

Scan a file given a filename.

Parameters:

filename: the absolute / relative path to the file.

Return value:

Returns the name of the virus if this is found and returns null when no virus is found.

cl_scanfile_ex(string filename, int options, string virusname, int retcode);

Description:

Scan a file given a filename (extended version), it supports the ClamAV scanning options and returns the virusname and return code of the cl_scanfile() API function.

Parameters:

virusname: This parameter is used to retrieve the virusname if a virus was found.
retcode: This parameter is used to retrieve the return code of the cl_scanfile API function.

Description:

Scan a file given a string buffer.

Parameters:

buffer: string buffer to be scanned.

Return value:

Returns the name of the virus if this is found and returns null when no virus is found.

Description:

Scan a file given a string buffer (extended version), returns the virusname and return code of the cl_scanfile() API function..

Parameters:

string cl_pretcode(int retcode);

Description:

Translates the ClamAV return code.

Parameters:

retcode: The return code of a cl_scanfile_ex(filename, options, virusname, retcode) or cl_scanbuff_ex(buffer, size_buffer, virusname, retcode) function.
Return value:

Returns a string with the return code description.
