PHP HTML Graph Class 1.0

PHP HTML Graph Class 1.0

PHP HTML Graph Class is a class for drawing vertical bar graphs using only HTML and CSS. more>>
PHP HTML Graph Class is a class for drawing vertical bar graphs using only HTML and CSS. Simple and grouped bars can be created. You can change everything regarding the looks as the output is template-driven.
On the fly, you can change the size of graph, the color of all or individual bars, add labels, a title, and footnotes, or customize the CSS style of all elements. The width and height of bars can be specified in pixels or percentages. The code is heavily documented.
Enhancements:
- In some PHP versions, there were some issues regarding passing variables by reference.
- The class would produce no output (nor errors) in PHP versions lower than 5 due to the different implementations of PHPs get_class() function in these versions.

HTML::Mail 0.02_05

HTML::Mail 0.02_05

HTML::Mail is a Perl extension for sending emails with embedded HTML and media. more>>
HTML::Mail is a Perl extension for sending emails with embedded HTML and media.

SYNOPSIS

use HTML::Mail;

### initialisation
my $html_mail = HTML::Mail->new(
HTML => http://www.cpan.org,
Text => This is the text representation of the webpage http://www.cpan.org,
From => me@myhost.org,
To => you@yourhost.org,
Subject => CPAN webpage);

### Send the email ("inherited" from MIME::Lite)
$html_mail->send();

#### Remove text representation
$html_mail->set_Text();

### Rebuild the message and send
$html_mail->build->send;

### Serialise to file for later reuse
$html_mail->dump_file(/tmp/cpan_mail.data);

### Restore from file
my $restored = HTML::Mail->restore_file(/tmp/cpan_mail.data);

HTML::Mail is supposed to help with the task of sending emails with HTML and images (or other media) embedded or externally linked. It uses MIME::Lite for all MIME related jobs, HTML::Parser to find related files and change the URIs and LWP::UserAgent to retrieve the related files.

Email can be multipart/alternative if both HTML and Text content exist and multipart/related if there is only HTML content.

If all you want is to send text-only email, you probably wont find this module useful at all, or at best a huge overkill.

lfwmail 2.4

lfwmail 2.4

lfwmail is a light weight web mail program written in perl. more>>
lfwmail is a light weight web mail program written in perl.
It will run with acceptable speed even on a Pentium 100Mhz Linux mailserver.
It has just basic features and no calendar or folders but it is fully
mime compatible and can handle attachments.
If you dont like browser cookies, this program is very suitable for you, because you dont have to enable cookies.
It is also very secure when you use https (encryption). HTML
mails are converted to ASCII text for security reasons but
you can still see the HTML mail if you want.
The code is clean and structured. Installation is straight forward
and you dont need a lot of non standard modules.
You can run it in mod_perl if you want. Remember to restart the
server when you do changes in the lfwmC.pm or any other file.
Response time will be very fast with mod_perl however for most people
normal cgi-bin will be good enough. lfwmail is already quite fast.
lfwmail is a light weight mail program. It does not keep track on what
you have read and what is new. You have to remember the dates of the
mails. There is however a small help to keep track on what you have seen
and what is new. It works for Mozilla (not netscape 4), Opera and MS IE
only as it depends on javascript style objects: the background color of e-mails
you have clicked on is changed. This is to keep track on what you have
read and what is new. This information does also survive between sessions since
version 1.5.
Enhancements:
- make it possible to call lfwmail with uid=xxx in the url. e.g https://my.host/cgi-perl/lfwmail?uid=joe_wm

HTML::EP is a system for embedding Perl into HTML.
SYNOPSIS

This is an HTML document. You see. Perhaps you wonder about
the unknown HTML tags like ep-comment above? They are part
of the EP system. For example, this comment section will
be removed and you wont see it in your browser.

Have you ever written a CGI binary? Easy thing, isnt it? Was just fun!
Have you written two CGI binaries? Even easier, but not so much fun.
How about the third, fourth or fifth tool? Sometimes you notice that you are always doing the same:
- Reading and parsing variables
- Formatting output, in particular building tables
- Sending mail out from the page
- Building a database connection, passing CGI input to the database and vice versa
- Talking to HTML designers about realizing their wishes
You see, its soon to become a pain. Of course there are little helpers around, for example the CGI module, the mod_perl suite and lots of it more. Using them make live a lot easier, but not so much as you like. CGI(3). mod_perl(3).
On the other hand, there are tools like PHP or WebHTML. Incredibly easy to use, but not as powerfull as Perl. Why not get the best from both worlds? This is what EP wants to give you, similar to ePerl or HTML::EmbPerl. I personally believe that EP is simpler and better extendible than the latter two. ePerl(1). HTML::EmbPerl(3).
In short, its a single, but extensible program, that scans an HTML document for certain special HTML tags. These tags are replaced by appropriate output generated by the EP. What remains is passed to the browser. Its just like writing HTML for an enhanced browser!

PHPS 0.6

PHPS 0.6

PHPS is a framework for separating HTML from PHP or, more generally, content from functionality. more>>
PHPS application provides the ability to seperate content from functionality, mostly having to do with HTML. Pages are written in pseudo-HTML, as you would normally, and then converted into an intermediate representation of PHP objects which you can then manipulate any way you like.
Once you are done manipulating the objects simply call the render() method and the objects will echo back the HTML they represent. With this approach you can define the page without having to worry about the order of objects as they appear on the page, besides having a cleaner design.
Enhancements:
- Added generic JavascriptAttr for all javascript events and added these attributes to BasicTag
- Added all javascript on* events
- Add a checked attribute object

PHP HTML Form Generation and Validation Class 1.0 Beta 3

PHP HTML Form Generation and Validation Class 1.0 Beta 3

PHP HTML Form Generation and Validation Class is a PHP class for easy HTML form generation and validation. more>>
PHP HTML Form Generation and Validation Class is a PHP class for easy HTML form generation and validation.

If youre a web developer you know that designing HTML forms and writing the PHP code for their validation is a really dull task. And if youre like me you mustve looked around the web to see what you can find in order to ease this task.

I made this class first of all because being addicted to coding, I just had to. But what had me really thinking, after looking at some of others people work was: "cool, but what if I have to put the label on top of the text box and not to the left of it? or what if I have to put three controls in a row?" because the vast majority of the HTML form processors Ive seen were just adding the controls one beneath the other and as a webdeveloper I can tell you, besides the login window, I was never asked to build a form where all the controls are just one beneath the other... Now, I am sure that in some of them there were workaround for these things but I wanted it really simple. Oh, and another thing: I wanted the error messages generated by the form validation to be wherever I wanted not just on top, not just on bottom. I want them wherever I feel like theyre looking ok!

So thats why this PHP class is as straightforward as it gets: it provides an easy and intuitive way of handling both HTML form design - based on templates, where you can design your form any way you want, and basic server-side form validation. As this is a BETA version, currently there are only a few validation rules available but you can easily write custom validation rules, both for server-side and client-side.

It provides all the basic controls available in an HTML form plus a date picker control.

In order for the date control to work you must also download the PHP Date Picker Class from the downloads section and configure the PHP Form Generation and Validation Class by setting the datePickerPath property to point to the date picker class!

Youll get a better picture of what Im trying to say by downloading the class and running the example and browsing through the documentation

Suggestions, comments and requests are welcomed.

The code is heavily documented so you can easily understand every aspect of it.

HTML::Embperl is a Perl module for building dynamic Websites with Perl.

SYNOPSIS

Embperl is a Perl extension module which gives you the power to embed Perl code directly in your HTML documents (like server-side includes for shell commands).

If building more than a single page, you may also want to take a look at "perldoc EmbperlObject" which lets you build your website out of small reusable objects.

Additionally, "perldoc HTML::Embperl::Mail" allows you to send the resulting page via email.
