PDF::Reuse::Barcode 0.05
PDF::Reuse::Barcode is a Perl module that can create barcodes for PDF documents with PDF::Reuse. more>>
PDF::Reuse::Barcode is a Perl module that can create barcodes for PDF documents with PDF::Reuse.
SYNOPSIS
use PDF::Reuse;
use PDF::Reuse::Barcode;
use strict;
prFile(bars.pdf);
PDF::Reuse::Barcode::ITF (x => 70,
y => 530,
value => 0123456789,
prolong => 2.96);
prEnd();
This is a sub-module to PDF::Reuse. It creates barcode "images" to be used in PDF documents. It uses GD::Barcode and its sub-modules: GD::Barcode::Code39, COOP2of5, EAN13 and so on, to calculate the barcode pattern. For Code128 it uses Barcode::Code128.
Normally the barcodes are displayed on a white background and with the characters under the bars.
You can rotate the "image", make it smaller or bigger, prolong the bars and change the background. (But then, dont forget to test that your barcode scanner still understands it.)
If you dont change the size of the "image", the bars are approximately 24 pixels high (the guard bars a few pixels longer) and the box/background is 38 pixels high and something like 20 pixels wider than the barcodes. The text under the bars are 10 pixels high.
The barcodes are generated using a Type3 font by default. Ghostscript and xpdf donthave support for Type3 fonts. If you want to target engines that dont handle Type3 fonts properly, see the "mode" parameter.

Yet Another Free PDF-composer can compose PDF documents from picture files and other PDF files, encrypt the created document, and send it to a given email address.
Imagine you need a PDF-printer-like tool, which is able to generate PDF-files from documents, you want print out of your applications on your local machine.
There are plenty of solutions out there on the web, which can do this for you. Now imagine you need a PDF-printer to be shared in your network, which is able to generate PDF-files from documents, the network users print out of their applications.
Youll find some free solutions, which can make this. Further imagine, you want this PDF-printer automatically to apply the letterhead template of your company to the first page, apply the company-logo to all further pages, append a "Terms and Conditions" page to all printed documents, apply some "Watermark Graphic" on all pages to copy-protect your documents, encrypt the document to protect it from unwanted manipulation and automatically mail the document to the user, who initiated the print-job.
Hard to find a free solution on the web, which can do this for you.
Enhancements:
- This is a general code cleanup and feature enhancement release.
- YAFPC uses iText 1.4.4 now and requires Java 1.5 or above.
- Feature enhancements include a large variety of encryption settings, explicit settings for owner and user passwords, and enhanced processing of paper sizes and orientations.

Template::Tools::ttree 2.19
Template::Tools::ttree module can process entire directory trees of templates. more>>
Template::Tools::ttree module can process entire directory trees of templates.
SYNOPSIS
ttree [options] [files]
The ttree script is used to process entire directory trees containing template files. The resulting output from processing each file is then written to a corresponding file in a destination directory. The script compares the modification times of source and destination files (where they already exist) and processes only those files that have been modified. In other words, it is the equivalent of make for the Template Toolkit.
It supports a number of options which can be used to configure behaviour, define locations and set Template Toolkit options. The script first reads the .ttreerc configuration file in the HOME directory, or an alternative file specified in the TTREERC environment variable. Then, it processes any command line arguments, including any additional configuration files specified via the -f (file) option.
The .ttreerc Configuration File
When you run ttree for the first time it will ask you if you want it to create a .ttreerc file for you. This will be created in your home directory.
$ ttree
Do you want me to create a sample .ttreerc file for you?
(file: /home/abw/.ttreerc) [y/n]: y
/home/abw/.ttreerc created. Please edit accordingly and re-run ttree
The purpose of this file is to set any global configuration options that you want applied every time ttree is run. For example, you can use the ignore and copy option to provide regular expressions that specify which files should be ignored and which should be copied rather than being processed as templates. You may also want to set flags like verbose and recurse according to your preference.
A minimal .ttreerc:
# ignore these files
ignore = b(CVS|RCS)b
ignore = ^#
ignore = ~$
# copy these files
copy = .(gif|png|jpg|pdf)$
# recurse into directories
recurse
# provide info about whats going on
verbose
In most cases, youll want to create a different ttree configuration file for each project youre working on. The cfg option allows you to specify a directory where ttree can find further configuration files.
cfg = /home/abw/.ttree
The -f command line option can be used to specify which configuration file should be used. You can specify a filename using an absolute or relative path:
$ ttree -f /home/abw/web/example/etc/ttree.cfg
$ ttree -f ./etc/ttree.cfg
$ ttree -f ../etc/ttree.cfg
If the configuration file does not begin with / or . or something that looks like a MS-DOS absolute path (e.g. C:etcttree.cfg) then ttree will look for it in the directory specified by the cfg option.
$ ttree -f test1 # /home/abw/.ttree/test1
The cfg option can only be used in the .ttreerc file. All the other options can be used in the .ttreerc or any other ttree configuration file. They can all also be specified as command line options.
Remember that .ttreerc is always processed before any configuration file specified with the -f option. Certain options like lib can be used any number of times and accumulate their values.
For example, consider the following configuration files:
/home/abw/.ttreerc:
cfg = /home/abw/.ttree
lib = /usr/local/tt2/templates
/home/abw/.ttree/myconfig:
lib = /home/abw/web/example/templates/lib
When ttree is invoked as follows:
$ ttree -f myconfig
the lib option will be set to the following directories:
/usr/local/tt2/templates
/home/abw/web/example/templates/lib
Any templates located under /usr/local/tt2/templates will be used in preference to those located under /home/abw/web/example/templates/lib. This may be what you want, but then again, it might not. For this reason, it is good practice to keep the .ttreerc as simple as possible and use different configuration files for each ttree project.

JUnit PDF Report 1.0
JUnit PDF Report project generates a PDF report from JUnit test results. more>>
JUnit PDF Report project generates a PDF report from JUnit test results.
It uses Apache Ant to execute the generation, and Apache FOP to render the PDF document.
While automating tests for my company, I found that everything I need is available in the open source community, except printable test reports.
I couldnt sell the JUnitReport HTML reports to users. They see them as a technical artifact, and want to have a report that feels like a sign-off document.
Rather than building a solution in-house, I decided to initiate an open source project for it. I hope I can give something back to the community for everything it gave me.

PDF::Reuse 0.33
PDF::Reuse is a Perl module that can reuse and mass produce PDF documents. more>>
PDF::Reuse is a Perl module that can reuse and mass produce PDF documents.
SYNOPSIS
use PDF::Reuse;
prFile(myFile.pdf);
prText(100, 500, Hello World !);
prEnd();
This module could be used when you want to mass produce similar (but not identical) PDF documents and reuse templates, JavaScripts and some other components. It is functional to be fast, and to give your programs capacity to produce many pages per second and very big PDF documents if necessary.
The module produces PDF-1.4 files. Some features of PDF-1.5, like "object streams" and "cross reference streams", are supported, but only at an experimental level. More testing is needed. (If you get problems with a new document from Acrobat 6 or 7, try to save it or recreate it as a PDF-1.4 document first, before using it together with this module.)
Templates
Use your favorite program, probably a commercial visual tool, to produce single PDF-files to be used as templates, and then use this module to mass produce files from them.
(If you want small PDF-files or want special graphics, you can use this module also, but visual tools are often most practical.)
Lists
The module uses "XObjects" extensively. This is a format that makes it possible create big lists, which are compact at the same time.
PDF-operators
The module gives you a good possibility to program at a "low level" with the basic graphic operators of PDF, if that is what you want to do. You can build your own libraries of low level routines, with PDF-directives "controlled" by Perl.
Archive-format
If you want, you get your new documents logged in a format suitable for archiving or transfer.
PDF::Reuse::Tutorial might show you best what you can do with this module.
JavaScript
You can attach JavaScripts to your PDF-files.
You can have libraries of JavaScripts. No cutting or pasting, and those who include the scripts in documents only need to know how to initiate them. (Of course those who write the scripts have to know Acrobat JavaScript well.)

...
This class is a utility for use with the PDF::API2 module from CPAN. It can be used to display text data in a table layout within the PDF. The text data must be in a 2d array (such as returned by a DBI statement handle fetchall_arrayref() call). The PDF::Table will automatically add as many new pages as necessary to display all of the data.
Various layout properties, such as font, font size, and cell padding and background color can be specified for each column and/or for even/odd rows. Also a (non)repeated header row with different layout properties can be specified.
See the METHODS section for complete documentation of every parameter.
