ariane 53

ariane is a bootable CD-ROM linux. more>>
ariane project is a bootable CD-ROM linux. Its the successor of giotto. While giotto booted a libc5 system with a linux kernel 2.0.37 from floppy disks, ariane comes with linux kernel 2.4.26 and libc6, version 2.2.4.

It boots (just as giotto) into your computers RAM. After its up and running you can remove the CD-ROM for something else. ariane does neither have to be installed on a harddisk nor does it use a live-filesystem on the CD.

MindRaider 0.512 EAP

MindRaider 0.512 EAP

MindRaider is Semantic Web outliner. more>>
MindRaider is Semantic Web outliner. MindRaider aims to connect the tradition of outline editors with emerging technologies. MindRaider mission is to organize not only the content of your hard drive but also your cognitive base and social relationships in a way that enables quick navigation, concise representation and inferencing.
There are basically two pieces of the Semantic Web which user agent should accomplish - annotating content with metadata, and doing stuff with that metadata. MindRaider is here to help you with correlation of information related to particular thought. You must change your stereotypes.
Start with your personal resources like files, links, thoughts, friends, etc. These resources can be in turn represented as/associated with Concepts that are organized to Notebooks.
On top of the Concepts within a Notebook is built (RDF based) metadata layer that enables MindRaider to provide various Notebook facets (flat/hierarchical/graph-oriented but also semantic based views). Notebooks are further organized to Folders allowing you to build custom thematical domains.
Enhancements:
- New features include localization support, Gnowsis integration, OneNote like annotations, Java 1.5 support, and more.

FreeRADIUS 1.1.6

FreeRADIUS 1.1.6

FreeRADIUS is a feature-rich, high-performance RADIUS server. more>>
FreeRADIUS is the premiere open source RADIUS server. While detailed statistics are not available, we believe that FreeRADIUS is well within the top 5 RADIUS servers world-wide, in terms of the number of people who use it daily for authentication.
FreeRADIUS project scales from embedded systems with small amounts of memory, to systems with millions of users. It is fast, flexible, configurable, and supports more authentication protocols than many commercial servers.
The FreeRADIUS Server Project encompasses more than just a RADIUS server. The related software includes a PAM authentication module, and an Apache 1.3 and 2.0 authentication module. The server comes with a PHP-based web user administration tool, called dialupadmin.
The RADIUS server has more features and is more flexible than any other free software RADIUS server, and many commercial servers. Most commercial servers are distributed as a "base" system ($), and an "enhanced" version ($$) with more features. FreeRADIUS has all the features of a commercial "enhanced" server, without the associated cost.
In it simplest form, the server is similar to Livingstons 2.0 server. Many configuration files are similar, and the general operation of the server should be familiar to anyone who has used a variant of the Livingston server.
FreeRADIUS can be extended significantly from this simple form, however. There are many modules and configuration files which have no equivalent in older RADIUS servers. These new features permit FreeRADIUS to work within complex systems, and environments which require high performance.
To support the demanding requirements of a modern RADIUS server, FreeRADIUS features more than 50 vendor-specific dictionary files. It ships with support for LDAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases. It supports EAP, with EAP-MD5, EAP-SIM, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-PEAP, and Cisco LEAP sub-types.
It supports proxying, with fail-over and load balancing. It has reached a stable 1.0 release, with incremental improvements being added and tested daily. In short, it is a powerful, fast, and complex RADIUS server which is compatible with the latest network protocols and practices, and is well suited for deployment in any size network.
Enhancements:
- A few dictionaries have been added.
- Several bugs have been fixed, including some double frees that were found in 1.1.5.
- Nearly 30 bugs found by Coverity were also fixed, including a memory leak in the EAP-TTLS code.

Spyce - Python Server Pages 2.1.3

Spyce - Python Server Pages 2.1.3

Spyce - Python Server Pages is a Python-based dynamic HTML server engine. more>>
SPYCE is a server-side language that supports simple and efficient Python-based dynamic HTML generation, otherwise called Python Server Pages (PSP).

Those who are familiar with JSP, PHP, or ASP and like Python, should have a look at Spyce. Its modular design makes it very flexible and extensible. Spyce - Python Server Pages can also be used as a command-line utility for static text pre-processing or as a web-server proxy.

The supported adapters are:

* Fast CGI:The default Spyce integration with Apache is acheived via FastCGI, a CGI-like interface that is relatively fast, because it does not incur the large process startup overhead on each request.

* mod_python: If you really must have the fastest Spyce implementation (see the performance numbers), it is currently through an Apache module called mod_python. Spyce has been tested with mod_python version 2.7.6 (and version 3.0.3 with apache 2.0.37). You can try to find some mod_python rpms here, but in general one must compile mod_python from sources. The reason for this is because mod_python links with the Python library it finds on your system at compile time. Thus, even if you have the correct Python version installed on your system, mod_python will be using the Python library version on the system where it was compiled. Also, note that mod_python (or rather Apache) needs a Python that has been compiled without threading, so you may need to recompile Python as well for this reason. The process is not very difficult (just the usual: ./configure; make; make install dance), but hopefully someone will suggest a better route in time. In any case, make sure you can first get mod_python running on your system, if that is that is your chosen Apache integration route.

* Web server: Another fast alternative is to serve Spyce files via a proxy. This involves running Spyce in web-server mode, and configuring the main web server to forward the appropriate requests. The built-in Spyce web server can also be used to serve requests directly, but this is highly discouraged for production environments.

* CGI: Failing these alternatives you can always process requests via regular CGI, but this alternative is the slowest option and is intended primarily for those who do not have much control over their web environments.

* Command line: Lastly, one can use Spyce as a command-line tool for pre-processing Spyce pages and creating static HTML files.
