Claros Chat is finally ready. It is a web based (fully Ajax) instant messaging client which is capable of talking with the Jabber protocol. Claros Chat is well tested with Google Talk and it supports all major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Mozilla.

Form Spam Bot Blocker is a PHP class that can generate forms that prevent submission by spam robots without requiring human users to enter special values.

The project generates hidden inputs for forms that have special values that are verified on the server after the form is submitted to eventually detect whether the form was sent by a spam robot.

The class can generate an hidden input that contains an encoded value of the user browser, user computer IP address and the current time.

The class verifies whether these browser name and IP address are still the same, and also whether the form is being submitted by a normal time interval after it was create, like when it is submitted by a real human user.

The class also generates a text input that are invisible for the user. A human user would not fill this input. If the input is submitted with a value, it was certainly a robot.

When the class detects a situation that demonstrates the form was submitted by a robot, the application should not accept the form submission.

ARSC Really Simple Chat is a Web chat system that uses PHP and MySQL.
ARSC Really Simple Chat project works with every browser in existence, even text-based ones, and it uses the server push technique or, if possible, its own socket server.
It is very simple to install and use ARSC. It includes some important features, such as operators, kick-ing, whispering, and more.
Multiple rooms and different languages are available. To run ARSC on your site, you need a Web server that understands PHP, and can connect to a MySQL database.

Once installed on your webserver, ARSC provides a chat interface to the visitors of your site. Your visitors need no special plugins or additional software to chat, only their webbrowser. ARSC is licensed under the GPL, which means it is free (like in "free speech"). It also comes at no cost (like in "free beer"). You may even use it in your own software projects.
Chatting with ARSC is very comfortable. If you have a modern browser with frame support and JavaScript support enabled, ARSC makes use of these technologies. If you have an older browser, or you have JavaScript disabled, or even if you have a browser that does not support frames, you can still chat with ARSC. Let me say it this way: With ARSC, chatting on a webpage is possible with every known browser under the sun that is still in use nowadays.
In contrary to many other PHP/MySQL webchats, ARSC can be run using a non-forking socketserver to handle all message transport. Other chats use the httpd process to handle the message transport, what causes a big overhead, while the socketserver of ARSC works very ressource-friendly and can handle way more users. The server is completely written in PHP and thus does not need any special requirements besides a cgi-bin installation of PHP 4.1.0 or above. Current versions of PHP (4.3.x) have been tested and work. If you are not able to compile a cgi-bin version of PHP or you may not start a socketserver on your machine, ARSC still offers the traditional message handling via the httpd process or even via meta refresh.

Relay-bot is a program we initially wrote because our group of friends that hang out on one channel could never seem to all stay on EFnet, and even if we could EFnet was splitting so badly at the time that it was unusable. However, we couldnt readily switch to another network because not everybody is always online and a few people wanted to stick with EFnet because there were other friends of theirs still there. So, relay-bot was born. It allowed us to split our channel across 2 (actually, 3 or 4) different IRC networks fairly effectively.
You[l need a copy Of Perl since perlay bot is written in Perl. Youll also need a copy of Net::IRC.
Theres currently no real installation routine; just untar the tarball, edit "relay-bot.config" and run "relay-bot.pl".

Piorun Jabber Client is a Jabber client for Gnome with user interface simmilar to IRC clients.

Currenly implemented features include: standard chat, multi-user chat, roster and subscriptions management, VCards, privacy lists, secure connections (TLS and SALSL).
Piorun is written using Mono/Gtk#

The Eggdrop Jabber Bot bridges your Eggdrop IRC bot to the Jabber instant messaging network and thus to ICQ (via ICQ transports on the Jabber server). This code is meant to be a demo that it can be done and be useful and to basic start point which you can extent to your needs. The only functionality delivered with this package is right now an invite feature.

Lets assume you are a computer science student and have some great news about new gadgets and you want to tell your friends. They are currently not logged in to the IRC server. Write everybuddy a message to come into the IRC channel? Or even worse tell everybody separately about [your favorite new gadget here]? Of course not! So you just tell the bot "!jabot:invite Come and here about THE new gadget" and the bot will message all the users that have set their IM details an invitation with your message... And they can even answer your reply. They can send one message that will be posted to the channel. For more they will have to get to the channel though.

The Eggdrop Jabber Bot code is built on older versions of TCL JabberLib and TclXML. The needed versions are included with the package. I have patched them with some additional functionality to fit my needs so porting to the new versions would take some time. Anybody interested?
