Console Jabber Client is a Jabber client with text-based user interface resembling those known from popular IRC clients.

CJC is a Jabber/XMPP client for text terminals. Console Jabber Client uses pyxmpp library for XMPP comunication and curses for screen output. It is not finished yet, but still quite usable. Its user interface is resembling those of popular IRC clients like irssi or BitchX.

Free Simulated Radar Client is a framework for radar clients for virtual air traffic control networks (e.g., VATSIM and IVAO). Currently work is occuring on a radar client (an ASRC clone), a flight strip display, and a 3D tower view.

The framework analyses the data provided by servers of these networks and provides interfaces for radar clients (or other applications) to access this data.

Role Playing Tools extends the pen and paper role playing tabletop to the computer by providing a die rolling tool with a full expression language including Javascript functions, tabbed rolling bars, quick summation features, and the ability to save and restore sessions. There is also a client and server map sharing tool. Both are intended to be simple and powerful and enhance the game, not distract from it.

We found that we wanted to augment our pen-and-paper roleplaying (primarily 3.5ed D&D) with computer aids.

These tools extend and augment our traditional playing style. They are not a role playing game by themselves, nor are they meant to replace everything at the D&D table.

Requirements
In order to run or build the Shezhu Resource Sharing System you need some third-party software available on your machine.
Client
The client needs a modern web browser and the best browsers for this application are Firefox, Mozilla (including the Netscape branded equivalent and Gecko derivatives such as Galeon) and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The newest versions of all these browsers will work best. This application also works with the Konqueror and Opera browsers but these have some issues which may affect functionality. All browsers need JavaScript enabled. Any of these browsers may not work properly (or at all) depending on the operating system they are running under. Text based browsers (such as Lynx) are not supported.

Server
The server needs recent versions of the Apache web server and the MySQL database server.
The server has only been tested on Redhat9 and FedoraCore3 Linux/i386 platforms although there is no specific reason why it should not work on other Linux platforms and distributions.
Development
Rebuilding this application from source requires a standard Unix development environment with the sh, make, cc, cpp, sed and awk utilities. Also required are RCS, Perl (5.6+) and the ImageMagick program. Also required is RPM to build a distribution. All these programs would probably come as standard in Linux distributions, other platforms may not have all of them by default.
Enhancements:
- This release adds support for Apache2 and multi-site installations, internal restructuring, a better installation tree, and improved access control management.

Jabber is an instant messagings system (and a few other things but Ill forget about these for the moment), but it uses XML so its easy to create clients for it, and to link it in with other systems.

As well as that anyone can run a Jabber server, so youre school, university or office could have their own messaging system.
