apoo project is an environment for a first course in assembly language programming.

It is implemented in Python and has the following components: apoo virtual machine is a virtual processor with a very simple architecture and instruction set that mimics almost all the essential features of a modern microprocessor.

As the aim is to teach assembly language, there is no machine code associated with the instruction set.

apoo Interface is a graphical environment that monitors the state of the machine during the execution of a program and allows the writing/editing/execution of programs in assembly language.

apoo Tutor is a module for grading of student programs based on a description of what the execution of the program should be for specified input data sets.

Applications that collect data from RSS-compliant sites are called RSS readers or "aggregators" RSSOwl is such an application.
RSSOwl lets you gather, organize, update, and store information from any compliant source in a convenient, easy to use interface, save selected information in various formats for offline viewing and sharing, and much more.
Its easy to configure, available in many many languages and the best of all: Its platform-independent.
RSS ("Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary") is a document specification that gives users the power to collect and organize Web-based news and information in a more efficient manner.
The owl is a traditional symbol of wisdom, and a quiet, efficient hunter. Youll find RSSOwls "big eyes" a big help when scanning the Webs vast array of RSS sources.
Main features:
- Import your favorite newsfeeds using the OPML format. Most newsreaders support the export of newsfeeds via OPML, making it very easy to switch to RSSOwl and have your bookmarked favorites inside RSSOwl.
- Bookmark your favorite newsfeeds in nested categories. Set properties like "auto-update-interval", "open on startup" or "reload on startup".
- RSSOwl helps you finding a suitable title for your favorites. Just click the "Grab title from newsfeed" button and RSSOwl will scan the newsfeed for the title and use it for the new favorite.
- Create collections of newsfeeds other may subscribe to. A subscription is a file that contains newsfeeds. Placing the subscription online will allow others to subscribe to that collection and have the same newsfeeds inside RSSOwl. The subscription is updated each time RSSOwl is starting.
- Switch on the internal browser to read news that contain HTML. Some newsfeeds use this kind of technique to include images and links.
- Select a newsfeed, a single news or an entire category of newsfeeds to export the content into one of the formats PDF, RTF or HTML. When exporting news into PDF, RSSOwl will create bookmarks showing the titles of all news. These are very helpfull when searching for a particular news inside the PDF document.
- RSSOwls internal panels are highly customizable. Choose between a 2-column and a 3-column layout. Hide and restore the tree containing all favorites and the quickview box. Maximize the tabfolder with a single click in order to view a website inside the internal browser with full size.
- A lot of search-options make RSSOwl a powerful application to search inside a newsfeed or an entire category. The boolean operators "and", "or" and "not" may be combined with the search-term. Common options to only match a whole word, regard case-sensitivity or to use regular expressions are allowed. Results are displayed in the tabfolder and each keyword is highlighted inside the newstext.
- AmphetaRate is a centralized ratings/recommendation service that provides personalized news and blog recommendations. Each news found in your subscribed feeds may be rated "Fantastic", "Good", "Moderate", "Bad" and "Very bad". Your recommendations are computed by Bayesian filtering and an algorithm finding people who share your taste.
- The integrated newsfeed-search engine allows to search for newsfeeds by keyword. Simply enter words like "News" or "Linux" and press the search button. Soon the engine will give out a list of newsfeeds. It is also possible to restrict the search to only match newsfeeds that have the same language that RSSOwl has set. Once the search has finished, import all of them into any category with a single click.
- Tired of copying and pasting newsfeeds out of a website into your newsreader? Simply enter the website containing links to newsfeeds into the feed-discovery and RSSOwl will show all the newsfeeds it has found. Import them into any category with a single click. Or enter the URL to an OPML file and gain access to its newsfeeds - its a breeze!
- The integrated feedvalidator allows to check the validity of a newsfeed. Any error or warning is shown inside the validator, together with the line-number. This feature makes the perfect tool for bloggers as theyre able to test their newsfeeds. RSSOwl provides support for RSS 0.91, 0.92 and 2.0 straight "out of the box".
- Access password protected newsfeeds. RSSOwl 1.0 is supporting the Base authentication which is the original and most compatible authentication scheme. But be prepared for RSSOwl 1.1 coming soon which will also support Digest and NTLM authentication that was introduced with HTTP 1.1.
- A small toolbar above the tree containing all favorites allowes to execute the commands "Reload All Favorites", "Aggregate All Favorites", "Search in all Favorites" and "Mark All Favorites Read". Believe us, its a handy feature. :-)
- Place RSSOwl into the system tray on minimization. As soon as RSSOwl is reloading a newsfeed and detects that new, unread news are available it will tell you so.
- RSSOwl is highly customizable. "Preferences" allow to change fonts, languages, colors, hotkeys and a lot more. Export settings into a file to import them into RSSOwl on a different computer. Switch fonts or make yourself comfortable with RSSOwl by choosing one of the 25 languages available - everything is just a few clicks away!

O.B.M. stands for Open Business Management.
OBM is an Intranet application which goal is to help manage a company or an organization. As OBM improve, it is approaching what are called CRM (with sales force , help desk, time tracking sections) but can be used simply as a contact database or as a shared calendar.
OBM represents a framework above wich many modules are written. It is written by an evolving group of developpers from Aliacom (mains are Mehdi Rande, Pierre Carlier, Olivier Boyer (design)) lead by Pierre Baudracco, with contributions by other people (see the changelog) and released under the terms of the GPL.
OBM is always evolving and the data and the database model are subject to change but each new version come with update scripts.
Enhancements:
- The import module has been improved to handle conflict automatically.
- Fixes and enhancements were made to the calendar module (planning view rights, home page portlet, and .ics file sending can be disabled).
- Fixes were made to CAS and the todo, payment, and import modules.

CShout is a shoutbox that completely needs no database at all. It uses a text file as its database. I have created it since I realised that I would need one for my own. Before that, I used the free shoutbox service at http://www.shoutboxes.com from which I adopted the idea. I started with a free tutorial on the internet which was really really basic and simple.
You can download, unrar and enjoy it straight away as well as using it with phpwcms as a mod. I dont know if this is considered as a mod but it does something different to the orginial copy of phpwcms. It is my little contribution to phpwcms community. This mod will add a shoutbox into your phpwcms site using phpwcms custom replacement tag.

Remo is a Rule Editor for ModSecurity.
Main features:

ModSecurity is not a simple toy. It is quite tricky to configure successfully. Many web applications are not very simple either. Bringing them together by writing a ModSecurity ruleset is very difficult. Modsecurity.org advertises a tested core ruleset granting you protection from most known attacks. But this is only a blacklist approach: All known dangerous traffic is filtered out.
A network firewall uses a whitelist approach; also called positive security model: Everything is dropped outside of a short and strict rulset. An application firewall should do exactly the same. (See Ivan Ristics thougts on positive security. Ivan Ristic is the man behind ModSecurity.)
But this comes with a catch: Your application does not come with a short and strict ruleset and writing one will be tough. This is the point where remo will come into play. It is meant as a graphical editor for this ruleset, thus helping you to generate a whitelist of valid requests to your application. Ideally you will be able to bundle this ruleset with every release of your online application. We are not there yet. Far from it to be honest. But the development has started and you are welcome to join in.
Enhancements:
- This first beta release brings the ability to import ModSecurity audit-logs and match them against the ruleset in the edit-area of Remo.
- This lets you check if the ruleset which you are developing will work with your online application in practice.

Viewglob is a utility designed to extend Bash and Zsh when used in windowing environments. Viewglob project has two parts:
1. A tool that sits as a layer between the shell and X terminal, keeping track of the users current directory and command line.
2. A graphical display which shows the layouts of directories referenced on the command line (including pwd).
The display reveals the results of file globs and shell expansions as they are typed (hence the name), highlighting selected files and potential name completions.
It can also be used as a surrogate terminal, where keystrokes typed in the display are passed to the shell. Files and directories can be double-clicked to insert their names and/or paths into the terminal.
Generally people use Unix in a fundamentally different way than, say, Windows. There are desktop environments such as Gnome and KDE which emulate the Windows feel by providing point-and-click folder navigation and whatnot, but I find that for the most part I just juggle between terminals.
The command line is truly powerful, allowing for a level of control unreachable with a mouse. Instead of trying to improve on a usage pattern which is almost parallel to Unix, Viewglob is a small step towards making the shell itself more relevant in a windowing system.

- Convenient. No longer will you compulsively ls after every cd.
- Reassuring. You can see the potential ramificiations of a command as you type it.
- Accomodating. Difficult-to-type filenames need no longer be tab-completion guess work.
