Morse allows you to learn morse code while browsing the net.

Tutorial:

0. Bug: You have to add the Morse Toolbar-Buttons via Menu/View/Toolbars/Customize, otherwise it wont work.
1. Make sure your soundcard works and is not blocked by any other application
2. To start learning morse go: Menu/Tools/Morse/Start
3. Just listen to this while browsing the net for say one or two weeks, and you will not only know morse-code, but youll even be able to listen and translate morsed signals!
4. If you like use the toolbar-items Morse and -- (available at Menu/View/Toolbars/Customize).

Gnopernicus is part of the GNOME Accessibility Project. Gnopernicus is a screen reader and magnifier and it enables users with limited vision, or no vision, to use the Gnome 2 desktop and Gnome/GTK+2 applications effectively.

By providing automated focus tracking and fullscreen magnification, Gnopernicus aids low-vision Gnome users.

Its screen reader features allow low-vision and blind users to access the standard GTK+2 and Java-based GUI applications via speech and braille output. By leveraging Gnome 2s built-in accessibility framework, Gnopernicus will make interacting with applications more efficient for these users and enable use of the Gnome 2 desktop for some users who otherwise would have no access to Gnome.

Speedometer project is a console bandwidth and file download progress monitor with a logarithmic bandwidth display and a simple command-line interface.

Usage:

speedometer [options] tap [[-c] tap]... Monitor network traffic or speed/progress of a file transfer. At least one tap must be entered. -c starts a new column, otherwise taps are piled vertically.

Taps: filename [expected-size] display download speed [with progress bar] -rx network-interface display bytes received on network-interface -tx network-interface display bytes transmitted on network-interface

Options: -i interval-in-seconds eg. "5" or "0.25" default: "1" -p use plain-text display (one tap only)

GD::Graph::Thermometer is a Perl module to generate progress graph on the fly.

When deployed in production, the current value ought to be dynamically calculated based on a query of the database tracking contributions or volunteers or whatever the goal represented by the graph represents.

This module exports only one method, its constructor, ->new(), which creates a .png (by default) image file of the thermometer graph with the path and name defined in its constructor. If no image_path is defined in the constructor, then the module will print the image directly to STDOUT.

The anonymous hash fed to the constructor must define values for the keys: goal and current. Otherwise a fatal error will be thrown. Current should represent the progress made toward the goal being graphed since the beginning of the campaign.

The output format defaults to png if the key type is undefined, otherwise a user may specify png, gif or jpeg as the output format. These correspond to the GD::Image-> methods by the same name, which are used to implement the ->_render_image() internal method.

The size parameters will default to 100 pixels wide by 200 pixels tall, if those arguments are missing from the anonymous hash given to the constructor. If title is not defined a warning will be thrown, but the graph will still be generated.

The colors for the background, text, outline and mercury will default to white, black, black and red respectively, if not otherwise defined in the constructor. If defined in the constructor, they should be defined as an anonymous array of three values ( => [ r, g, b ],), range 0 - 255, suitable for feeding to the GD::Image->colorAllocate() method. If the transparent key is set to 1, any area of the image set to either the default or a custom background color will render as transparent for inclusion on a web page.

EmbedCover is a script for embedding album cover images in MP3 files. EmbedCover script will automatically look up the image associated to it in amaroK and embed this image in the file.

The MP3 file must have an ID3-V2 tag, otherwise the script will abort, and the file must be in your Collection.

It is recommended that you back up your MP3 file before using this script on it.

Although the script is designed not to harm your file, the operation is not reversible and should therefore be used with caution.

Future versions will also be able to remove embedded cover images from a file.

list files package prints to file list of files in a given directory.
Handy if youd like to, say, tell a friend of yours what ebooks you have, and wouldnt feel like typing them all by hand.
