Operator 0.7 for Firefox

Operator 0.7 for Firefox

Operator is a Firefox extension that lets you combine information on Web sites with applications in ways that are useful. more>>
Operator is a Firefox extension that lets you combine information on Web sites with applications in ways that are useful.

For instance, Flickr + Google Maps, Upcoming.org + Google Calendar, Yahoo! Local + your address book, and many more possibilities and permutations.

All of these scenarios are possible due to Microformats, an emerging standard for injecting semantics into HTML.

You can use Operator to debug your microformats. Holding down the Ctrl key when you select a microformat action will show you the HTML that corresponds to that microformat. In addition, holding down the Shift key when you select a microformat action will display our internal representation of the microformat data.

If a microformat doesnt show up, but you believe there is one, it might be because the microformat is invalid. You can turn on debug mode in options to see invalid microformats.

Also, Operator was designed to be extensible. You can add more microformats and more handlers for existing microformats. For more information, check out handler-example.js and microformat-example.js in the Operator extension directory after you have installed Operator. New microformats and handlers should be placed in a directory called "microformats" in your profile directory.

I understand that I used a different way to do the translation for this version of the extension (JS file). For the next version, I will move the translation into a properties file.

Flash Operator Panel is a switchboard type application for the Asterisk PBX. more>>
Flash Operator Panel is a switchboard type application for the Asterisk PBX. It runs on a web browser with the flash plugin.
It is able to display information about your PBX activity in real time. The layout is configurable (button sizes and colors, icons, etc). You can have more than 100 buttons active per screen. On the Live Demo there are 28 buttons defined.
It also supports contexts: you can have one server running and many different client displays (for hosted PBX, different departments, etc). It can integrate with CRM software, by poping up a web page (and passing the CLID) when a specified button is ringing.
You can see at a glance:
- What extensions are busy, ringing or available
- Who is talking and to whom (clid, context, priority)
- SIP and IAX registration status and reachability
- Meetme room status (number of participants)
- Queue status (number of users waiting)
- Message Waiting Indicator and count
- Parked channels
- Logged in Agents
You can perform these actions:
- Hang-up a channel
- Transfer a call leg via drag&drop
- Originate calls via drag&drop
- Barge in on a call using drag&drop
- Set the caller id when transferring or originating a call
- Automatically pop up web page with customer details
- Click-to-Dial from a web page
- Mute/Unmute meetme participants
- It has two parts: a server writen in PERL, and the flash client. It was tested and its known to work under Windows, Mac and Linux browsers.

Template::Alloy::Operator 1.006

Template::Alloy::Operator 1.006

Template::Alloy::Operator is a Perl module that provides the regexes necessary for Template::Alloy::Parse to parse operators. more>>
Template::Alloy::Operator is a Perl module that provides the regexes necessary for Template::Alloy::Parse to parse operators and place them in their appropriate precedence.

It also provides the play_operator method which is used by Template::Alloy::Play and Template::Alloy::Compile for playing out the stored operator ASTs.

ROLE METHODS

play_operator

Takes an operator AST in the form of

[undef, +, 1, 2]

Essentially, all operators are stored in RPN notation with a leading "undef" to disabiguate operators in a normal Alloy expression AST.

define_operator

Used for defining new operators.

See Template::Alloy for more details.

Perl::Metric::Basic 0.31

Perl::Metric::Basic 0.31

Perl::Metric::Basic is a Perl module that can provide basic software metrics. more>>
Perl::Metric::Basic is a Perl module that can provide basic software metrics.

SYNOPSIS

# first construct a PPI::Document object to pass in
my $document = PPI::Document->load("t/lib/Acme.pm");

# then retrieve metrics on the document
my $m = Perl::Metric::Basic->new;
my $metric = $m->measure($document);

# $metric will consist of something like:
# Acme => {
# new => {
# blank_lines => 1,
# comments => 1,
# lines => 7,
# lines_of_code => 6,
# numbers => 0,
# numbers_unique => 0,
# operators => 3,
# operators_unique => 2,
# symbols => 5,
# symbols_unique => 2,
# words => 7,
# words_unique => 6
# },
# ...

When constructing software one often produces code of vastly differing quality. The Perl::Metric::Basic module leverages the PPI module to provide some interesting software metrics for Perl code, mostly measuring size and maintainability.

A metric is some sort of measurement which is intended to help you make a decision about a piece of code. There arent any hard rules about metrics, but the ones provided should allow you to make decisions about modules or subroutines which are outliers. Abnormal measurements in a subroutine are a warning sign that you should reexamine that routine, checking for unusually low quality.

This module uses the PPI module, and thus can parse Perl code without evaluating it.
If youre interested in software metrics, I highly recommend "Code Complete" (Second Edition) by Steve McConnel (Microsoft Press).

METHODS

new()

The new() method is the constructor:
my $m = Perl::Metric::Basic->new;

measure()

The measure() method measures some metrics and returns a hash reference. Files in Perl can contain more than one package, and it is interesting to seperate metrics by package. The key for the hash reference is the name of the package, and the value is another hash reference.

Perl packages are seperated into subroutines, and it is interesting to seperate metrics by subroutine. The key for the second hash reference is the name of the subroutine, and the value is another hash reference containing metrics.

There are various metrics applied to the subroutine. The key for the third hash reference is the name of the metric, and the value is the value of the metric. The metrics are:

blank_lines

The number of blank code lines.

comments

The number of lines containing comments.

lines

The total number of lines.

lines_of_code

The number of lines of code.

numbers

The total number of numbers used (eg "$z = 42 * 3" would have 2 numbers).

numbers_unique

The number of unique numbers used (eg "$z = 2*$x + 2*$y" would have 1 unique number).

operators

The total number of operators used.

operators_unique

The number of unique operators used.

symbols

The total number of symbols used (eg "$z = $x*$x + $y*$y" would have 5 symbols).

symbols_unique

The number of unique symbols used (eg "$z = $x*$x + $y*$y" would have 3 unique symbols).

words

The total number of words (operators) used.

words_unique

The number of unique words used.

Perl6::Contexts 0.4

Perl6::Contexts 0.4

Perl6::Contexts - array and hash variables turn into references to themselves when used in non-numeric scalar context. more>>
Perl6::Contexts - array and hash variables turn into references to themselves when used in non-numeric scalar context or as function arguments.

SYNOPSIS

my @foo = ( 1 .. 20 );
my $foo = @foo; # same as: my $foo = @foo;
my $foo = 0 + @foo; # unchanged - length of @foo
$obj->some_method(10, 20, @foo); # same as: $obj->some_method(10, 20, @foo);
some_function(10, 20, @foo); # same as: some_function(10, 20, @foo);

Perl6::Contexts makes Perl 5 behave more like Perl 6 with regard to the array and hash variables as used as arguments to operators, method calls, and functions.

This module doesnt add new syntax -- it merely changes the meaning of existing syntax. Using this module to make Perl 5 more like Perl 6 wont go very far towards writing Perl 5 that will run under Perl 6 but it will help you get used to some of the changes.

To run legacy Perl 5 along side Perl 6, check out PONIE or Inline::Pugs.

xconvers 0.8.3

xconvers 0.8.3

Convers is a TCP/IP based service for Amateur radio operators which uses a command subset of IRC. more>>
Xconvers is a TCP/IP based service for Amateur radio operators which uses a command subset of IRC.
Xconvers is a client for convers, a IRC-like conversation system for hamradio operators. Convers differs from IRC because there is a much smaller command set and command input and output is generally shorter. This is done because a lot of convers servers are linked by radio waves, where traffic should be kept low.
It is optimized for generating less traffic than IRC, because part of the convers server network is connected over a radio network with slow (1200-9600 baud) links. Convers uses port 3600.
Xconvers was born a long time ago as a motif client for the wampes convers server. The xconvers maintainer was looking for someone to take over his software.
After maintaining the motif version for some time, I have rewritten the user interface to use GTK+ and have added a bunch of features.
Main features:
- configurable color support (different colors assigned to every user)
- optional saving of the session to a logfile
- history for the connect dialog and the send widget
- autologin and automatic sending of commands
- selectable font, color and pixmap for the main window
- language support
- statusbar, scrollbar and menu can be turned off
Enhancements:
- French translation by Jean-Luc Coulon, F5IBH. Closes: #299289.

ruleCore 1.0

ruleCore 1.0

ruleCore provides a rule engine for event pattern detection. more>>
ruleCore provides a rule engine for event pattern detection.

The ruleCore Engine is an event-driven rule engine that manages and executes reaction rules. The rules are event-condition-action (ECA) style of rules.

The ruleCore Engine provides capabilities for detection of complex patterns of events, called situations. Events can be combined with logical and temporal operators in order to describe complex situations.

When a situation is detected, the ruleCore Engine can execute an action to alert external applications or users of the situation. The ruleCore Engine is fed with events through connectors.

Currently, connector implementations exist for plain sockets, XML-RPC, IBM WebSphere MQ, and TIBCO Rendezvous. Experimental support exists for running the engine within Zope and calling Zope methods when a rule triggers its action.
