Cygwin Easy 2007.03.21

Cygwin Easy 2007.03.21

Cygwin Easy project is an autorun disk that let you work easily and quickly with Cygwin environment in a Windows computer. more>>
Cygwin Easy project is an autorun disk that let you work easily and quickly with Cygwin environment in a Windows computer without install anything on your hard disk.

When you insert the disk in the drive the autorun start automatically, if nothing happens its necessary to run "autorun.bat" manually.

Your Cygwin work directory (home) is the "cygwin" directory placed on your desktop.

If in your computer there is already an installation of Cygwin when "autorun.bat" is properly terminated (exiting from the environment with the exit command) or when you click on the link to remove Cygwin Easy it will return back to the previous environment.

In the desktop there is also some links to start new shells or to start X Windows server.

If you want to start X Windows server when the disk is inserted you can run the command "D:autorun X" from Start -> Run (where "D" is the letter that indicate your optical drive).

At the end of the work with Cygwin Easy on your guest system there will be only your workdir.

If you want to change your home path is possible to create a configuration file called "cygwineasy.ini" in your desktop with inside:

[Cygwin Easy]
HOME=C:homeuser

where "C:homeuser" is the path of your home

You can also specify this as second argument for "autorun.bat", for example:
"D:autorun shell C:homeuser" (from Start -> Run).

If you want a more powerful console (with for example the tab) you can run "console.exe" that is in the directory called "console". Console is an open source application that is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and next version (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/console).

A complete list of Cygwin Easy packages is inside the file "packages.txt". Licenses of packages vary but most are under the GPL. Cygwin Easy scripts are under GPL.

- This web-site provides a convenient browsing formular to analyse imported benchmarks.
For now, Ive concentrated my efforts on benchmarking of GCC and espacially on its embedded C and C++ compilers on the Linux/x86 platform, yet support for others languages, compilers or platforms can be added (Cygwin is supported).
Enhancements:
- 25 more benchmarks are supported (C++ language).
- There is an improved build mechanism, and a useless (nonexistent) script call has been removed.

AutoGen 5.9.2

AutoGen 5.9.2

AutoGen is a templatized program/text generation system. more>>
AutoGen is a tool designed to simplify the creation and maintenance of programs that contain large amounts of repetitious text. AutoGen project is especially valuable in programs that have several blocks of text that must be kept synchronized.

AutoGen can now accept XML files as definition input, in addition to CGI data (for producing dynamic HTML) and traditional AutoGen definitions.

A common example where this would be useful is in creating and maintaining the code required for processing program options. Processing options requires multiple constructs to be maintained in parallel in different places in your program.

Options maintenance needs to be done countless times. So, AutoGen comes with an add-on package named AutoOpts that simplifies the maintenance and documentation of program options.

AutoGen is known to work on GNU/Linux, BSD, Apples OS/X, SVR4-5, HPUX, SCO OpenServer and Solaris. It is expected that it will work on any reasonably modern UNIX system with an ANSI-compliant C compiler. It also runs under WinNT, provided you have CygWin ** and Guile loaded.
