Multiple Time Sheets 4

Multiple Time Sheets 4

Multiple Time Sheets is a simple tool to help you keep track of how many hours you work and for whom. more>>
Multiple Time Sheets is a simple tool to help you keep track of how many hours you work and for whom.
It differs from most time-tracking software because its designed to work like paper that magically totals up hours.
Main features:
- Uses text files, requiring no database.
- Supports only one user per app, for simpler code.
- Sends and tracks invoices, and payments thereof.
- Features a rudimentary to-do list that displays your list as an outline.
- Sends you a backup of your data automatically.
- Assume the user prefers free-form data entry in text files rather than typing into forms.
- Uses the htmlMimeMail.php class by Richard Heye (phpguru.org).
- CSV and OPML exports of some data.
- Automatic hyperlinking from MTS to your favorite web-based software.
Enhancements:
- This release added a feature that replaces text patterns with links so that strings like "Bug 10" can link to a bug tracking application.
- CSV export was added for the timesheet along with OPML export for the to-do list.

JPokerTM 0.2

JPokerTM 0.2

JPokerTM is a JPoker Tournament Manager, a Poker Tournament application. more>>
JPokerTM is a JPoker Tournament Manager, a Poker Tournament application.
As I am a very keen Python user and also an avid Poker player, I decided to write an Open Source Cross-Platform application in Jython (a Java implementation of Python - see www.jython.org) to firstly make my life easier during our own home games (replacing written notes regarding blinds etc balanced against a pot plant).
There are many many improvements I want to make to this application, which is why it is currently designated as Alpha. However it is perfectly adequate as it stands to support my own home games, so I consider this a reasonable point to release it as v0.1. I would really like to have the chip value display working and that will probably go in v0.2.
This application is not really intended for use in huge tournaments like the WSOP where there will be more that 18 levels, it is more for home games and small card room tournaments. However if I get requests to support larger tournaments, I would certainly consider them.
Enhancements:
- BUGFIX* Added Ante Display.
- Added a chip value display to the tournament window.
- Added a preferences menu option which allows Currency (also FTR (fit to receive) display size in a future release) preferences to be selected.
- Preferences loaded from a file (if not present, default file created on startup).
- *BUGFIX* Pound sign display issue corrected by above.
- *BUGFIX* Ante format was not being provided if selected (TYPO).
- Blind structures now contained in external files, which are loaded into the application on startup.
- Files are simple csv (easily editable in an external application).

Netrik 1.15.5

Netrik 1.15.5

Netrik is the ANTRIK Internet Viewer/Browser/Explorer/Navigator/whatever. more>>
Netrik is the ANTRIK Internet Viewer/Browser/Explorer/Navigator/whatever. (Tell us which one you like best.

Netrik is Free Source Software published under the GNU GPL, which essentially states that you can do anything with the programm and its source code, as long as it remains free.

There are a lot of reasons to use a text browser.

The first one is that a text mode browser runs almost everywhere, even in environments without a graphical mode. Especially the possibility to use them through Telnet can be very useful. Also, a text mode browser needs very few system ressources, as displaying text needs much less processor time and memory than graphical pages. On a heavily loaded machine it steals less ressources and feels much better.

The second one is that its a very good possibility for web authors to test the usability of their pages. In a text mode browser many flaws of web pages are obvious, which are hidden in Netscape&Co., but could cause problems in other browsers.

The third reason (which seems to be the decisive one for many users) is that the avialable text mode browsers have very quick startup times. Thus they can be used to take a quick glance at a page without having to start a "big" graphical browser, and also without having to start the graphical environment if you do not have one running all the time. (I do not.) This can be very valuable, especially for program documentation in html format.

The fourth reason to use a text mode browser is that it "saves" one from graphically overloaded pages. Many pages are much clearer in a text mode browser, and thus information retrieval is much more efficient. Note that for many pages this is only true if the text mode resolution is high enough. (No problem in an xterm or on a Linux console with an fb-device.)

The fifth reason (the main reason why I use text mode browsers) is that many people generally prefer text mode over graphical mode. There are many reasons for this, but I guess this is more a question of taste... Only please do not make your sentence without having experienced it :-)

Last but not least, a text mode browser is the most reasonable possibility to browse the web for blind users.

HTTP Time Protocol 1.0.0

HTTP Time Protocol 1.0.0

HTTP Time Protocol is a tool for time synchronization with Web servers. more>>
The HTTP Time Protocl (HTP) system is a set of utilities to set and maintain the system clock from the HTTP/1.1 (RFC 2616) "Date:" header. HTP requires Libconfig.
The purpose of HTP is provide a simple to use system that can be used on any system that is connected to the internet and can access atleast one web page (either directly or through a proxy) to be able to maintain an accurate clock.
HTTP Time Protocol uses basic statistical analysis to arrive at the most accurate time possible given enough servers. The more servers HTP is configured to use the more accurate the clock can be.
Enhancements:
- Cleanup/simplification of the code.
- A more robust implementation of the "-p" (precision) switch.
