pypt-offline is a utility for people using Debian (and distros based on debian) on a disconnected machine.
It helps in downloading the required data from another, high bandwidth Windows/Linux/Mac box.
Enhancements:

Requires sources for kdelibs, kdebase and kdeaddons. If you use German localization, you will probably want sources for kde-i18n-de, too.
Webpages with enabled javascript may not work 100% when browsing offline completely.
Version restrictions:
- None that are not present in the original http slave.
- Webpages with javascript enabled may not work with offline browsing.

jMovie is a movie collection manager that simplifies the maintenance of your collection.

jMovie project allows you to view information about each one of your movies, obtaining its data from internet movie data sources, downloading it to your machine so you will be able to do further queries offline.

Moreover, local data can be stored in different places, like memory, local hard disk, databases, etc.

KrawlSite is a web crawler/spider/ offline browser/download manager application.
To integrate with Konqueror, open the file associations page in the configuration dialog, select text/html mime type and in the embedded viewers list choose KrawlSite_Part. Now when you right click on a web-page in Konqueror, in the preview in menu, youll see KrawlSite.
Selecting it embeds the component into Konqueror as in the second screen shot. The first screen shot shows the shell in which the component runs. The third component is the configuration dialog.
To use this app to download tutorials, set offline mode on, start crawling from the start of the tutorial. If the start page of the tutorial is the TOC, set crawl depth to 1 or if the start page has the TOC along with the first chapter, set crawl depth to 0. If only next & previous links are present per chapter page, set crawl depth to number of chapters.

Movie Mapper project is a small program for indexing movie collections.

Movie Mapper is a small program for indexing movie collections. It browses given directory trees, searching for text files that contain IMDB URLs.

These URLs are used to generate database entries for movies.

Movie Mapper can also be used for offline indexing by creating text files that contain offline movie titles.

It tries to find matches from IMDB for those titles listed in the text files.

ginterface is an instant messenger application to communicate with people. ginterface is aimed for the easy communication between people working in Linux Desktops.

You can set up ginterface in your LAN workspace, to communicate with people in that LAN. For using ginterface there is no need for an Internet connection and its all with in the LAN. ginterface has a separate server, gifserver (gif is the acronym of ginterface).

Run this server in one of the LAN systems and start using gif. The only thing to take note is the IP Address of the system in which the server is running, coz., this IP is needed to connect gifclient (client part of gif) to the server.

gifserver is written to run in CUI and gifclient in GUI with user-friendly interfaces. The administrator of the server has the power to add new user to ginterface.

When a new user is added, you can add him/her in your contact list. There are facilities for offline messages also. You can send offline messages to any of your contacts and he/she can see that when he/she logs in again.
