Now Playin is a Kopete now listening script, "lite" version, by Amy Brodzik.

This script does pretty much what the original did with these options set:

* Status prefix: "Now Listening: "
* No changing the status to away
* Set the away message
* Do not set the avatar

There is no config dialog in this version because I do not know Kommander.

This script ONLY changes your status message to show the song youre listening to. It does not change your nickname or your avatar. If you want those features, go get the full version above or edit the script. I have removed the code for other features that this script had for the sake of simplicity. If you want those features back, get the version at the URL above.

I modified and trimmed this script because I wanted to change the behavior--for example, now it clears your status message when you hit Stop. I hope someone finds this trimmed-down version useful.

I also disabled logging to the log.txt file by default.

I know Kopete has a "now playing" plug-in, but it doesnt work at all with certain types of files, like tracker modules.

AmaroK now playing is a script that displays the song you are currently playing with amaroK.

Add it to, /usr/share/apps/konversation/scripts

Then add it to command aliases

Konversation > settings > command aliases

For example: alias: np ;replacement: /exec np

Gajim Now Listen changes the status of Gajim (jabber client) when amarok change song. The status remain the same, but the messages change to $artist - $album - $song.

Gajim Now Listen is very alpha, but seems to works.

Gaim/Gajim now Listen is a script to automatically change your status message on Gaim whenever a track changes in Amarok.

Doesnt check for whether the user is online or not, but otherwise works perfectly.

ProSum is a terminal based program that protects your files, sys_call_table and IDT like tripwire way (All in user space, without kernel modules).
In addition, database with files etc. could be encrypted with Blowfish algorythm and files that are protected could be store at any secure/bastion host to later replace them. You can disable sys_call_table and IDT support for Non-Linux systems. ProSum could be run on any UNIX system, at least with file protect mode (without IDT and sys_call_table support). ProSum was designed for if you run it on Linux x86 platform, kernel havent LKM support or have any type of protection against load and unload LKM, for many protection. Anyway this is not neccesary, but is recommended.

- - IDT, Kernel Symbols and Syscall hacking protection throught /dev/kmem for Linux x86 (developing protection for Linux sparc).
- File protection in a Tripwire way on any UNIX POSIX compliant.
- Database encryption with Blowfish algorythm on any UNIX.

Enhancements:

Nulog is a firewall log analysis interface written in php. Netfilter is able to log selected packets directly in a database like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Nulog uses this interface to display security events in real-time on a user-friendly interface.
Main features:
- show the last hosts that sent packets that got blocked by your firewall.
- show the last ports that hosts tried to open.
- search for packets logged from an host.
- search for packets logged for a given port.
- search for packets logged for a given user.
Installation
Settings up the database
To use it, create a mysql database ulogd, tape as root :
mysqladmin create ulogd
Next, populate the database using ulogd.mysqldump :
cat ulogd.mysqldump | mysql -u USER -p ulogd
Put your user and password in include/require.inc.
Note
The database is not the standard mysql database for ulogd. It add a few tables and indexes to have thing work fast.
Settings up netfilter
If you don?t use EdenWall or NuFW, you need to configure your netfilter installation.
Now you can log into the database. To log bad packet you have to use use ULOG
iptables -A FORWARD -j ULOG --ulog-nlgroup 1 --ulog-prefix "badif"

- This release can use MySQL triggers instead of PHP code to compute statistical data.
