Nao project is flexible, powerful and utterly configurable file manager for UNIX systems, written using the FOX toolkit.

Enhancements:

Ink is a command line tool which displays the ink level of your printer. Ink project makes use of libinklevel.

bit is a C++ library for manipulating buffers containing data fields that are not octet (byte) aligned.

Binary data formats containing fields that are not octet aligned are still common. One need look no further than the IP header that is present in every packet of data transmitted on the Internet.

Additionally many embedded devices and sensors still communicate via binary formats, and it was for the latter (robotic sensors) that this library was initially developed.

The bit library allows data formats to be specified at run-time through class methods or loaded from XML files at run-time (including any combinations thereof).

A companion library, bitgtk, provides a set of Gtkmm widgets for display of bit buffer representations.

Revisor is a very nice project from Fedora, that enables you to customize and compose your own installation and live media. It does so by presenting you a GUI with all options, and a CLI for the more advanced users. Features that Revisor has vary from customizing the packages available during the installation and/or installed on the live media, to fully customizing the desktop environment for the live media.

What is Installation Media and Live Media?

Installation media would be the media you use when you install a machine to run Fedora (the CDs and DVDs the Fedora Project releases every 6 months). You cannot do anything with installation media other then install a system to run Fedora.

Live media on the other hand allow you to run Fedora, without the need to install it on your system first. Actually, the operating system is installed on a CD, DVD or USB Thumbdrive, and you let your computer boot that operating system.

Gozirra is a lightweight implementation of the Stomp specification. As of the first release it includes both client and server implementations for Java. The name stinks, and may change.
Stomp (previously TTMP) is a simple publish/subscribe messaging protocol. Its main attraction, to me at least, is its simplicity and focus. A Ruby client comes out to 107 lines of code.
The Java server and client of this project fit in a jarball about 14KB large. You can easily communicate with a Stomp server via telnet, and it provides publish, subscribe, receipts, and transactions. It is everything you need for a lightweight communication protocol.
Gozirra is not intended to be a scalable standalone MOM solution. While it can be run in standalone mode, it is really targetted at being a library for providing embedded messaging to other applications. If you want a more feature full messaging provider, check out ActiveMQ, the reference platform for Stomp.
Enhancements:
- Several synchronization bugs have been fixed, and documentation has been improved.
- Commands and headers are trimmed of whitespace, making for more relaxed interpretation.
- An authentication framework has been added.
- The project name was changed.

Stan is a console application that analyzes binary streams and calculates several useful statistical information from the observed data.
It features statistical, pattern and bit analysis. Stan has been designed as a "swiss-knife" for first steps in reverse engineering and cryptographic analysis.

Learn about your password file. Before you execute the following command, guess which is the most common 2 byte pattern.
stan /etc/passwd.
If you want to analyse your PRNG device, try the following setup

Knopperdisk is a Linux distribution designed for a USB pen drive.

The USB version is more than just a rescue disk. Its based on Gentoo and contains various other programs/utilities such as network related tools (nmap, ettercap).

The floppy version is a so called rescue disk which is a compilation of uclibc and busybox among other utilities. It even has a ssh client provided by dropbear (congrats to the author) and some filesystem tools.
