Traffic Control - Next Generation (tcng) is a revision of the Linux network traffic control infrastructure that aims to make the configuration language less cryptic, and provide better interfaces for software and hardware accelerators.
The goal of this project is to revise the network traffic control infrastructure of Linux to overcome shortcomings of the existing architecture, and to make it more extensible.
In particular, we try to resolve the following issues that are present in other similar programs:
Create a more user-friendly configuration language
Provide interfaces for straightforward interaction with network management
Allow seamless integration of hardware accelerators
The code consists of two major components, the traffic control compiler tcng and the traffic control simulator tcsim. Both are described in some more detail below. Since tcng and tcsim share many support files (e.g. the whole regression test system), they are both contained in a single package, called tcng.
This site contains the source code and information directly related to tcng. Pointers to sites with information on traffic control in general can be found in the links section below.
This project started at the beginning of 2001 at EPFL ICA, continued until mid-2002 at Bivio Networks (tm), and has now become one of my spare time activities.
Enhancements:
- the "mtu" parameter in TBF is now optional
- tcsim now uses KVERSION[NUM] instead of KFULLVERSION[NUM] to avoid breaking if EXTRAVERSION contains multiple dots or other surprises (reported by Eduardo Grosclaude)
- scripts/runtests.sh now runs commands with LANG=C, to avoid localized error messages (reported by Eduardo Grosclaude)

OCEAN GenRap is a completely new reporting and data analysis solution. OCEAN GenRap is created by a powerful report generating engine connected with an innovative report editor designed specially for regular users. Therefore it allows you to share the ability to modify, create reports and carry out simple business analysis with managers, salesmen, consultants and other employees having access to data, but lacking programming skills.
Reporting engine
OCEAN GenRap SDK contains a Runtime component. OCEAN GenRap Runtime component can be built in any application to provide reporting capabilities. Simple programming API, support for popular RDBMS servers and ODBC sources, various output formats (including PDF, Postscript, HTML and XLS), no charge and availability for J2SE and .NET platform are its great advantages.
Ad-hoc reporting
Integrating Runtime component into an application allows you also to communicate with the OCEAN GenRap. Its a next generation office tool with a text editor interface and advanced user friendly data access, which makes reporting and analyzing data much faster and simpler. Because there is no SQL language knowledge needed to operate OCEAN GenRap, the system can be used for ad - hoc reporting and providing at - once data analysis on a company scale.
Increased market share and audience reach
System integrated with or using OCEAN GenRap can be utilized in a wider range. Reports, analysis and printouts can not only be generated as static html pages, pdf files or physical printouts. They can also be edited. All reports based on OCEAN GenRap can be modified in both ranges - the logical layer, and the appearance.
Key benefit in this group is that the process of modification of reports can be carried out by regular users without proper programming skills. From now on, creating report is not reserved only to IT staff members with SQL language and database technologies knowledge. Every employee familiar with e.g. MS Word and MS Excel will be able to easily:
- modify the appearance of the report, including font changing, colors, moving elements across the document, arranging elements on the report,
- modify the logic of the report by one-click grouping, sorting and filtering data listing or drag-and-drop adding fields from the user friendly data schema,
- create sophisticated reports without proper knowledge of SQL language and database technologies.
Thanks to OCEAN GenRap, reporting capabilities can be made available to every user of the application, increasing effectiveness and reducing costs of report preparation.
Enhancements:
- This release added charts, support for importing RTF documents, recognition of pervasive PSQL data types in ODBC, and more.

PHP HTML Form Generation and Validation Class is a PHP class for easy HTML form generation and validation.

If youre a web developer you know that designing HTML forms and writing the PHP code for their validation is a really dull task. And if youre like me you mustve looked around the web to see what you can find in order to ease this task.

I made this class first of all because being addicted to coding, I just had to. But what had me really thinking, after looking at some of others people work was: "cool, but what if I have to put the label on top of the text box and not to the left of it? or what if I have to put three controls in a row?" because the vast majority of the HTML form processors Ive seen were just adding the controls one beneath the other and as a webdeveloper I can tell you, besides the login window, I was never asked to build a form where all the controls are just one beneath the other... Now, I am sure that in some of them there were workaround for these things but I wanted it really simple. Oh, and another thing: I wanted the error messages generated by the form validation to be wherever I wanted not just on top, not just on bottom. I want them wherever I feel like theyre looking ok!

So thats why this PHP class is as straightforward as it gets: it provides an easy and intuitive way of handling both HTML form design - based on templates, where you can design your form any way you want, and basic server-side form validation. As this is a BETA version, currently there are only a few validation rules available but you can easily write custom validation rules, both for server-side and client-side.

It provides all the basic controls available in an HTML form plus a date picker control.

In order for the date control to work you must also download the PHP Date Picker Class from the downloads section and configure the PHP Form Generation and Validation Class by setting the datePickerPath property to point to the date picker class!

Web Reference Database is a bibliographic manager that can import and export references in various formats (including BibTeX, Endnote, MODS XML, and OpenOffice).
It can make formatted lists of citations in HTML, RTF, PDF, or LaTeX, and offers powerful searching, rich metadata, and RSS support
Enhancements:
- This release offers major function enhancements and bugfixes.
- Batch import from various bibliographic formats (including BibTeX, Endnote, RIS, ISI, and MODS XML) is now supported, as is import from a PubMed ID.
- An OpenDocument spreadsheet for use with OpenOffice.org can be exported, and formatted citation lists can be generated as HTML, RTF, PDF, or LaTeX. An SRU/W service and support for unAPI, OpenURL, and COinS metadata have been added.
- These allow the data to be used by the next generation of bibliographic clients.
- A new command line client is also included.

Enhancements:
- A "dependency" scheme was added to make sure you dont accidentally skip a vital step or do things in the wrong order.
- You can still override dependencies if you really know what youre doing.
- Spells are now installed in the background while you are busy selecting options.
- Software RAID support via mdadm was added.

GNU GRUB project, which is a rewrite of GRUB, is alive and under development. GRUB aims at merging sources from PUPA in order to create the next generation of GNU GRUB. A mailing list and a wiki have been setup for discussing the development of GRUB.
Main features:
- Create a compact core image. This will make Stage 1.5 unnecessary.
- Add support for dynamic loading to the core image, so that it can extend itself at the run time rather than at the build time.
- Add real memory management, to make GNU GRUB more extensible.
- Add a more object-oriented framework for file systems, files, devices, drives, terminals, commands, and OS loaders.
- Add support for internationalization. This includes support for non-ASCII character code, message catalogs like gettext, fonts, graphics console, and so on.
- Add an actual localization, based on the above internationalization support. We will target on Japanese as the first step.
- Segregate code specific to i386-pc from generic code, to make GNU GRUB portable.
- Add support for cross-platform installation.
- Develop additional software packages which will help our project and hopefully other projects.

gewee game is a Go-like board game with "next generation" graphics.

This is a game between a human ("player") and a computer ("opponent"). The players objective is to accumulate as many points as possible. When the player wins a game, a point is added to his/her score. When the player loses a game, a point is subtracted from his/her score. The competitor with the most pieces on the board at the end of the game is the winner. A game is finished when a competitor forfeits, or has no valid empty square to place a piece on. The opponent is granted additional moves at the start of a game based on the players score.

Each competitor has a distinct set of pieces of the same shape and color. The competitors take turns placing one piece on an empty square on the board. A piece or group of pieces that has no empty square adjacent to it is removed from the board.
