Vision Egg 1.2.1 brings users the convenience of a high level interface between Python and OpenGL. White_dune is a low level VRML97 tool for Unix/Linux/MacOSX and M$Windows.
white_dune can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the scenegraph/fields.
Unlike most highlevel tools, it uses a light model based on the VRML97 standard.
White_dune is not complete yet, especially in the 3D preview window. But even if you do not see the node/field in 3D, you can graphically change the values.
White_dune is a simple NURBS/SuperFormula 3D Modeller, but it do not have tools to change polygon meshes (VRML IndexedFaceSet nodes) that can be taken seriously (yet).
IndexedFaceSet nodes can be created via conversion from NurbsSurface nodes oder SuperFormula PROTOs or by "pure VRML97" export, but for some tasks you may prefer to work with a polygon mesh 3D modeller with VRML97 export and rework the results (e.g. color, texture, lightning, animation, interaction....) in white_dune.
Requierments:
- The usage of a 3D hardwareaccelated graphicscard with OpenGL driver support will speedup things
- Most OpenGL implementations require at least a color depth of 15 Bit (with exceptions e.g. a SGI Indy workstation with IRIX works good with a 8 Bit only graphicscard)
Enhancements:
- Missing scale/center handling in x/y/z only mode has been fixed.
- Move actions -> sibling commands have been added.

Its simplicity is its strength. Due to Kimais web browser based interface it runs cross-platform. Also it runs cross-network. Likewise you can install it as a web service or as a single-user program on your local workstation.
While there are many programs one can use for time and project tracking, they tend to be overkill for my rather simple needs. Kimai came about because I was tired to feed lame boring excel tables ...
Kimai does not have to run to do the recording. Even with a recording running you can quit your Browser. Your time is still recording until you stop it from any web browser that has access to your installment. It is designed to hold lots of users but you can use it for a single user if you need to.
Kimai is based on PHP/MySQL technology. If you dont have a web server installed on your machine you can use XAMPP (Windows and Mac). XAMPP comes with everything you need for Kimai.
Kimai is localized in English, German, Nederlands, Spanish and French so far. Greek and Luxemburgian are available soon. You can always send us your self-made language files. Those are immediately available via online update and will be shipped with the next release also.

As a domain member, the Linux host
- can offer resources (shares) to the domain hosts and act as a domain server.
- offloads authentication to the domain (controllers), making it unnecessary to add local user accounts for domain users
SADMS was designed for use by administrators and takes care of the gory details of configuring a Linux host as an Active Directory (Windows 200x) Domain, an operation that involves modifying a number of arcane configuration files.
The Linux host, running on Samba 3, though not an Active Directory controller, operates as a member of the domain and, as such, refers to controllers for user authentication. No local accounts for Active Directory members are needed.
Communication with Active Directory controllers is carried out through Kerberos and LDAP (not the NT LAN Manager protocols).
Optionally, PAM can be configured to accept domain users for local interactive sessions on the host, whicn then acts as a workstation.

Dolda Connect is a modular P2P filesharing client built around the Direct Connect model. It supports most of the latest features of the DC protocol.
It runs in client/server mode with a well defined protocol, allowing extensibility, flexibility, and multiple detachable user interfaces. Dolda Connect also has an optional multi-user mode.
For the average user, this yields two primary advantages:
- The daemon can be made to run on another computer, which can be on all the time (a server, if you will), while the user interface can run on the users workstation. That way, the user can turn off his workstation at night, while the server will continue all transfers in progress during that time.
- A user can control his daemon from another location, such as from work, school, a friend, etc.
This architecture also has many other advantages in store for the more advanced users; since the user interface communicates with the daemon using a well-defined protocol, other user interfaces can be written, such as an automatic downloader, a chatbot, etc. It is also designed for secure multiuser operation.
Enhancements:
- A GUI configurator tool was added.
- Portability issues were fixed so that it works on AMD64 now.
- The documentation was improved.
- The usual slew of minor bugs were fixed.
