Virtual Machine Viewer 0.0.1

Virtual Machine Viewer 0.0.1

Virtual Machine Manager software is a desktop user interface for managing virtual machines. more>>
Virtual Machine Manager software (virt-manager for short package name) is a desktop user interface for managing virtual machines. The project presents a summary view of running domains and their live performance & resource utilization statistics. A detailed view presents graphs showing performance & utilization over time. Ultimately it will allow creation of new domains, and configuration & adjustment of a domains resource allocation & virtual hardware. Finally an embedded VNC client viewer presents a full graphical console to the guest domain.

The application logic is written in Python, while the UI is constructed with Glade and GTK+, based on mockups provided by UI interaction designers. The libvirt Python bindings are used to interacting with the underlying hypervisor. This enables the application to be written independant of any particular hypervisor technology. Initially Xen was the primary platform supported, however, since libvirt 0.2.0 and virt-manager 0.3.1 it is possible to manage QEMU and KVM guests too. It is expected that support for additional hypervisors / virtualization products will expand even further over time as additional libvirt drivers are written.
The "Virt Install" tool (virtinst for short package name) is a command line tool which provides an easy way to provision operating systems into virtual machines. It also provides an API to the virt-manager application for its graphical VM creation wizard.

The "Virt Clone" tool (virtinst for short package name) is a command line tool for cloning existing inactive guests. It copies the disk images, and defines a config with new name, UUID and MAC address pointing to the copied disks.
The "Virtual Machine Viewer" application (virt-viewer for short package name) is a lightweight interface for interacting with the graphical display of virtualized guest OS. It uses GTK-VNC as its display capability, and libvirt to lookup the VNC server details associated with the guest. It is intended as a replacement for the traditional vncviewer client, since the latter does not support SSL/TLS encryption of x509 certificate authentication.

Tk::event 804.027

Tk::event 804.027

Tk::event contains miscellaneous event facilities: define virtual events and generate events. more>>
Tk::event contains miscellaneous event facilities: define virtual events and generate events.

SYNOPSIS

$widget->eventAction(?arg, arg, ...?);

The eventAction methods provides several facilities for dealing with window system events, such as defining virtual events and synthesizing events. Virtual events are shared by all widgets of the same MainWindow. Different MainWindows can have different virtual event.

The following methods are currently supported:

$widget->eventAdd(, sequence ?,sequence, ...?)

Associates the virtual event virtual with the physical event sequence(s) given by the sequence arguments, so that the virtual event will trigger whenever any one of the sequences occurs. Virtual may be any string value and sequence may have any of the values allowed for the sequence argument to the bind method. If virtual is already defined, the new physical event sequences add to the existing sequences for the event.

$widget->eventDelete( ?,sequence, sequence, ...?)

Deletes each of the sequences from those associated with the virtual event given by virtual. Virtual may be any string value and sequence may have any of the values allowed for the sequence argument to the bind method. Any sequences not currently associated with virtual are ignored. If no sequence argument is provided, all physical event sequences are removed for virtual, so that the virtual event will not trigger anymore.

$widget->eventGenerate(event ?,option => value, option => value, ...?)

Generates a window event and arranges for it to be processed just as if it had come from the window system. $window is a reference to the window for which the event will be generated. Event provides a basic description of the event, such as < Shift-Button-2 > or >. If Window is empty the whole screen is meant, and coordinates are relative to the screen. Event may have any of the forms allowed for the sequence argument of the bind method except that it must consist of a single event pattern, not a sequence. Option-value pairs may be used to specify additional attributes of the event, such as the x and y mouse position; see "EVENT FIELDS" below. If the -when option is not specified, the event is processed immediately: all of the handlers for the event will complete before the eventGenerate method returns. If the -when option is specified then it determines when the event is processed.

$widget->eventInfo(?>?)

Returns information about virtual events. If the argument is omitted, the return value is a list of all the virtual events that are currently defined. If is specified then the return value is a list whose elements are the physical event sequences currently defined for the given virtual event; if the virtual event is not defined then undef is returned.

vzquota is the tool that allows a system administrator to control disk quotas for OpenVZ Virtual Private Servers (VPS).
OpenVZ is an Operating System-level server virtualization solution, built on Linux. OpenVZ creates isolated, secure virtual private servers (VPSs) or virtual environments on a single physical server enabling better server utilization and ensuring that applications do not conflict.
Each VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server; VPSs can be rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.
Enhancements:
- Relative quota file support was added.
- Minor code and documentation fixes were made.
- The vzquota.spec file was fixed according to Fedora packaging guidelines.

Virtual Magnifying Glass 3.3

Virtual Magnifying Glass 3.3

Virtual Magnifying Glass is a free, open source, screen magnifier, for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD. more>>
Virtual Magnifying Glass is a free, open source, screen magnifier, for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD.
Enhancements:
- An experimental Dynamic Mode is available on this version on Windows. Please read the PDF documentation that ships together with the magnifier for detailed information about how to use it.
- A plugin system was introduced. It should now be possible to write plugins that change dramatically how the magnifier works. We would like to encourage users with the adequate knowledge to write plugins to extend the functions of the magnifier. The first plugin created adds the experimental dynamic mode on Windows.
- The menu sometimes would get stuck when the glass opens. This is fixed.
- Fixed the keeping of the values of magnification and other options
- Added option to control if you wish the magnifier to show automatically when executed
- On Linux the command to execute the magnifier changed to vmg, to avoid incompatibilities with other tools
- On Linux the mouse cursor is now hidden, but this requires a very latest Lazarus, and the packages are compiled with the latest stable (0.9.22). If you download a subversion Lazarus (or 0.9.24 or superior when they are released). Build lazarus, and then use it to build the magnifier. The bug will be solved
- Updated the RPM packages to reflect that we no longer need ImageMagick
- Updated the build scripts
- Separated translations on a new file, called translations.pas, so they are more isolated from the code.
- Added German translation
- Lots and lots of minor bug fixes

Template::Alloy::VMethod 1.006

Template::Alloy::VMethod 1.006

Template::Alloy::VMethod is a Perl module with VMethod role. more>>
Template::Alloy::VMethod is a Perl module with VMethod role.

The Template::Alloy::VMethod role provides all of the extra vmethods, filters, and virtual objects that add to the base featureset of Template::Alloy. Most of the vmethods listed here are similar to those provided by Template::Toolkit. We will try to keep Template::Alloys in sync. Template::Alloy also provides several extra methods that are needed for HTML::Template::Expr support.

ROLE METHODS

define_vmethod

Defines a vmethod. See Template::Alloy for more details.

vmethod_*

Methods by these names implement virtual methods that are more complex than oneliners. These methods are not exposed via the role.
filter_*

Methods by these names implement filters that are more complex than one liners. These methods are not exposed via the role.

VIRTUAL METHOD LIST

The following is the list of builtin virtual methods and filters that can be called on each type of data.

In Template::Alloy, the "|" operator can be used to call virtual methods just the same way that the "." operator can. The main difference between the two is that on access to hashrefs or objects, the "|" means to always call the virtual method or filter rather than looking in the hashref for a key by that name, or trying to call that method on the object. This is similar to how TT3 will function.

Virtual methods are also made available via Virtual Objects which are discussed in a later section.
