Enhancements:
- IPA can now be used on Cygwin (previously, it only could be built on this system).
- The closefrom system call is used if the system supports it.
- During startup, ipa can unlink a locked PID file which was locked by another ipa process.

SLiM is a Desktop-independent graphical login manager for X11, derived from Login.app.

Metacity is a lightweight window manager written by Havoc Pennington from Red Hat. The first version was 2.3, which was released in 2001. Metacity is implemented with the GTK+ 2.x toolkit, and so integrates well with the GNOME 2.x platform.
In fact the intention is to remove the traditional separation between window manager and desktop, and present to the user a single desktop interface.
This means that the limited configuration options available for Metacity are shown as desktop options, not as Metacity options (although there is an optional "Metacity-setup" panel which conflicts with this approach).
Enhancements:
This release fixes a problem with KDE applications appearing to request attention when the user switched workspaces.

Tigase Server project is a lightweight and scalable Jabber/XMPP server. No third party libraries are needed. For services with very high load and a huge number of users, it can be deployed on as many machines as needed.
Enhancements:
- This release corrects and improves the packet filter, adds a startup script for Mandriva Linux, and fixes a problem with stream initialization on very fast machines.
- The IOService class is now synchronized.
