BlockCanvas 3.0.2

BlockCanvas 3.0.2 is yet another excellent utility you should not miss. It actually provides a visual environment for creating simulation experiments, where function and data are separated. Thus, you can define your simulation algorithm by visually connecting function blocks into a data flow network, and then run it with various data sets (known as "contexts"); likewise, you can use the same context in a different functional simulation.
The project provides support for plotting, function searching and inspection, and optimization. It includes a stand-alone application that demonstrates the block-canvas environment, but the same functionality can be incorporated into other applications.
The BlockCanvas project relies on included libraries that allow multiple data sets using Numeric arrays to be incorporated in a Traits-based model in a way that is simple, fast, efficient, and consistent.

Adun 0.73
Adun is an extensible biomolecular simulation program that includes data management and analysis capabilities. more>>
Adun provides advanced algorithms and protocols for molecular simulation which can be accessed from an intuitive user interface but also from a more flexible programmatic level. It is built on the Adun framework which is a powerful library for creating and manipulating simulations.
However it goes beyond just performing simulations by incorporating tools for analysis and management of simulation data aswell as providing mechanisms that allow the easy extension of its abilities. In many senses Adun is simply a structure that can incorporate any molecular simulation tools allowing it almost unlimited potential for growth.
Adun is a new extendible molecular simulation program that also includes data management and analysis capabilities. What follows is an overview of our main aims for the 1.0 version of our software. The current stable version is 0.6. The 1.0 target release date is early next year.

Danger from the Deep 0.3.0.1
Danger from the Deep is a World War II german submarine simulation. more>>
It is currently available for Linux/i386 and Windows, but since it uses SDL/OpenGL it should be portable to other operating systems or platforms. (If anyone whishes to port it, please contact us.)
This game is planned as tactical simulation and will be as realistic as our time and knowledge of physics allows. Its current state is ALPHA, but it is playable.
If anyone wants to contribute in development, youre welcome, just email the dangerdeep-devel mailing list. Contributing binary packages for various Linux distributions would also be much appreciated.
To get help with the game you should visit our public forum.
The game has support for multiple languages but currently only English, Italian and German are implemented. It is written in C++ with the use of the STL.
Danger from the Deep is released under the GNU General Public License. The project is hosted on SourceForge, a great supporter of the Open Source community.

Quite Universal Circuit Simulator 0.0.12
Quite Universal Circuit Simulator is a circuit simulator with graphical user interface (GUI). more>>
The software aims to support all kinds of circuit simulation types, e.g. DC, AC, S-parameter, Harmonic Balance analysis, noise analysis, etc.
Qucsator, the simulation backend, is a command line circuit simulator. It takes a network list in a certain format as input and outputs a Qucs dataset.
Whats New in This Release:
The new release comes with a new translation into Ukrainian, a selectable preprocessor in the SPICE file component and two new components, i.e. an exponential voltage and current source. Libraries
can now contain analogue as well as digital subcircuits. Analogue modelling is substantially strengthened by symbolically defined devices. And last but not least pure digital simulations can be also performed by Verilog-HDL as an alternative to VHDL.
In the simulation backend the equation defined devices (EDD) have been implemented as well as the two new signal sources. Also the list of
available functions in the equation solver has been extended to support vt(), hypot(), limexp(), arcsec(), arccosec(), arsech() and arcosech(). Furthermore logical and rational operators as well as the ternary ?: construct can be used in equations.
Qucs 0.0.12
Qucs is a Qt universal circuit simulator. more>>
- Qucs, briefly for Qt Universal Circuit Simulator, is a circuit simulator with graphical user interface. The software aims to support all kinds of circuit simulation types, e.g. DC, AC, S-parameter, harmonic balance analysis, noise analysis, etc.
- Qucsator, the simulation backend, is a command line circuit simulator. It takes a network list in a certain format as input and outputs a Qucs dataset. It has been programmed for usage in the Qucs project but may also be used by other applications.
For people who are familiar with such simulators they should remember ADS from Agilent Technologies, Microwave Office from AWR and all the other simulators.
Enhancements:
- This release comes with a translation into Ukrainian, a selectable preprocessor in the SPICE component, and two new components (exponential voltage and current source).
- Libraries can now contain analogue as well as digital subcircuits.
- Analogue modelling is substantially strengthened by symbolically defined devices.

- Pure digital simulations can be also performed by Verilog-HDL as an alternative to VHDL.
Vamos Automotive Simulator 0.5.7
Vamos is an automotive simulation framework with an emphasis on thorough physical modeling and good C++ design. more>>
Vamos is young and its goals are only partially met. I invite anyone whos interested to contribute.
Thorough physical modeling
Vamos models most major systems of a car. The drivetrain includes a simulation of the engine, clutch, transmission and a limited-slip differential. Tires and suspension are also modeled. If I missed something, let me know.
Good C++ Design
The geometry, track, car and world modules are in their own namespaces. Care has been taken to avoid cyclic dependencies. Standard Library components like strings, vectors and maps are favored over arrays. Some of the modules and classes have aged more gracefully than others. If you see a design area that needs improvement, feel free to pitch in.
