All I wanted is a simple way to format DVD-RAM, create UDF filesystems, set or remove the write protection and informations about the DVD-RAM.

KDVD-RAM Tools are a combination with service menu, shell script and kdialog.

IRC Services are Services for IRC Networks (or just Services for short) provides for definitive nickname and channel ownership, automatic channel mode setting, memo (short message) storage and retrieval, and greater IRC operator control over the network.
Main features:
- Nickname management. Services allows users to "register" nicknames, and will prevent users other than the registrant from using them. Services also maintains information about each registered nickname, including the last time the nicks owner was online as well as a URL and E-mail address that can be set by the user.
- Channel management. Like nicknames, Services allows users to register channels as well. A channels owner can give privileges to other users of the channel, such as auto-opping or the ability to set various channel options, or conversely deny other users the ability to obtain channel operator privileges or even enter the channel altogether. Services will remember the topic on the channel even after the last user leaves, and can automatically set modes on the channel whenever a user joins it.
- Messages to offline users. Probably every IRC user has gone through the experience of waiting and waiting for someone to come online in order to pass a message along or ask a question. Services alleviates this with a "memo" system, allowing users to leave messages for other users even if the recipient is not online at the time; the recipient will be notified of the memo the next time they log on.
- Centralized network control. Services includes features which allow IRC operators greater control over the IRC network through a single point, and also defines multiple privilege levels for IRC operators with respect to Services itself. For example, IRC operators with sufficient privileges can use Services to set modes on any channel; it is also possible to ban users or groups of users from connecting to the network entirely, and such bans ("autokills" in Services terminology) will remain active even if a server, or Services itself, splits from the network.
Furthermore, each of these sets of features can be configured or disabled to match individual networks policies.

Secure Storage service for the gLite middleware project provides users with a set of tools to store in a secure way and in an encrypted format confidential data (e.g. medical or financial data) on the grid storage elements.
The data stored using the tools provided will be accessible and readable only by authorized users. Moreover, it solves the insider abuse problem preventing also the administrators of the storage elements to access the confidential data in a clear format.
The service has been designed and developed for the grid Middleware of the EGEE infrastructure, gLite, in the context of the TriGrid VL Project.

Web Service Engine for MySQL is a storage engine for the MySQL database. The project takes basic SQL and translates this through the engine interface into HTTP request methods.
This gives you the ability to create, read, and delete pages on Web servers. Wikipedia becomes a table you can select on from your database.
Enhancements:
- Multiple attributes per table are now supported.
- The engine now handles tables with more than two columns by generating XML that is stored on the remote server.
- Tables with only two columns are stored as before, with the non-keyed attribute being directly provided to the remote provider.

dl Download Ticket Service project is a minimalist and rough download ticket service with automatic expiration, written in PHP. Ive been using this service as an email-attachment replacement for my company, but there are no plans on extending it. It will remain minimal: no fancy features, just bug fixes.
Installation:
Copy the "htdocs" directory to a directory of choice under your web server. Configure the needed parameters inside "include/config.php" to reflect the external url, main password, etc. The "include" directory must not be accessible: if you use apache, the included .htaccess file should be sufficient; consult your web server documentation otherwise.
A spool directory outside of the web server root must be accessible to the web server process. In the example "include/config.php" this is configured as "/var/spool/dl". If you web server runs as "nobody:nogroup", issue:
mkdir -p -m770 /var/spool/dl
chgrp nogroup /var/spool/dl
to create correctly this directory.
The maximal upload limit is determined by several PHP configuration parameters:
file_uploads: must be "On".
upload_tmp_dir: ensure enough space is available.
upload_max_filesize: change as needed.
post_max_size: must be at least 1M larger than upload_max_filesize.
The upload limit as shown in the submission form is determined automatically from the upload_max_filesize parameter. You can also set these parameters with ini_set() inside "include/config.php" or through apaches directives to localize them to the installation path.
There are several bugs in the dba_open() function in PHP 4.x which cannot be fixed. If you can, upgrade PHP to at least 4.3.5. If you cannot upgrade, you need to configure the "$dbHandler" parameter to something available to your PHP installation (usually db3/db2/dbm) and use the Berkeleys DB "db4_load" utility to create an empty database:

Depending on your system, you may have to use "db3_load/db2_load/etc" instead of "db4_load". Sometimes these utilities are part of "db*-util" packages under several linux distributions. If you have PHP 4.3.5 or greater, this is done automatically.
Ticket expiration is performed automatically when any web page is requested. This means that expired downloads will still occupy space on the spool directory until a web page is first serviced. If you need to ensure that the spool is purged regularly (for very low traffic servers), setup a scheduled job that requests the "http://dl.example.com/d/" page. Under UNIX, setup a cron entry like this:

Version restrictions:
- Tested with all mayor and minor browsers.
- Tested with PHP 4.2/4.3.
- Byte ranges are currently not supported.
- The submit button is not disabled correctly with Internet Explorer 6 (works on other graphical browsers however).
