MITRE Honeyclient Project is a honeyclient is a dedicated host that drives specially instrumented applications to access remote servers to see if those servers are behaving in a malicious manner. Specifically, honeyclients can proactively detect exploits against client applications without known signatures.
The MITRE Honeyclient Project strives to educate the public about client application exploits and their attack mechanisms. This project is a Perl-based open source framework, designed to create and manage implementations of Honeyclient systems.
Enhancements:
- This release resolves ticket #68, which caused the program to block you from starting a Manager process without initializing a database (even if you disabled database support).
- To upgrade, simply download the new HoneyClient-Manager-0.99.tar.gz package, as no other packages have changed.

Linux Test Project is a joint project with SGI, IBM, OSDL, Bull, and Wipro Technologies with a goal to deliver test suites to the open source community that validate the reliability, robustness, and stability of Linux.

The project consists of well over 2000 individual testcases and a test driver to automate execution of the tests.

The OpenSCADA project aims to create a full-featured and state-of-the-art SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system to be used in industrial and civil engineering applications to control distributed systems from a master location.
The OpenSCADA project was started in order to create a common standard for SCADA applications. This includes specifications, interfaces and reference implementations.
Enhancements:
- This release has many new features and enhancements to existing functionality.
- The interfaces and the reference implementation were cleaned up a little bit.
- The new upstream version of Utgard was added.

Sleep is a perl inspired embed-able scripting language for Java applications.
Sleep source and binaries are released under the GNU Lesser General Public License.

Enhancements:

- Class/package importing is now more verbose about errors.

VXL (the Vision-something-Libraries) is a collection of C++ libraries designed for computer vision research and implementation. The project was created from TargetJr and the IUE with the aim of making a light, fast and consistent system. VXL is written in ANSI/ISO C++ and is designed to be portable over many platforms.

The core libraries in VXL are:

vnl (numerics): Numerical containers and algorithms. e.g. matrices, vectors, decompositions, optimisers.
vil (imaging): Loading, saving and manipulating images in many common file formats, including very large images.
vgl (geometry): Geometry for points, curves and other elementary objects in 1, 2 or 3 dimensions.
vsl (streaming I/O), vbl (basic templates), vul (utilities): Miscellaneous platform-independent functionality.

As well as the core libraries, there are libraries covering numerical algorithms, image processing, co-ordinate systems, camera geometry, stereo, video manipulation, structure recovery from motion, probability modelling, GUI design, classification, robust estimation, feature tracking, topology, structure manipulation, 3d imaging, and much more.

Each core library is lightweight, and can be used without reference to the other core libraries. Similarly, the non-core libraries dont depend on more than absolutely necessary, so you can compile and link just the libraries you really need.
