CheeseTracker is a software sampler and step-based sequencer. It allows a musician to turn single-note samples into instruments capable of covering three or four octaves (by playing the samples at different speeds, resulting in different pitches). In addition, it is possible to take a collection of samples that are recorded at different octaves, and combine them into a single "instrument," allowing for even more octaves without sampling artifacts.
Using the Pattern Editor, it is possible to compose songs with these instruments that the computer plays automatically. The Pattern Editor allows the user to arrange samples in several independant channels, so that many samples can play simultaneously. These songs, and the samples which comprise their instruments, can be saved together in one-file archives called modules.
CheeseTracker imposes no limits on the length of the samples used. As a result, it can be used as a mixer as well as a sampler/sequencer. Effects such as reverb can be applied to each sample individually, eliminating the need for expensive pedals.

CheeseTracker is modeled after a DOS-based freeware program called Impulse Tracker (which has been abandonware since the late 1990s). It is mostly compatible with Impulse Tracker, being able to load Impulse Tracker files.

irrKlang is a free high level 2D and 3D cross platform sound engine and audio library which plays WAV, MP3, OGG and more file formats, written and usable in C++.
The project has all the features known from low level audio libraries as well as lots of useful features like a sophisticated streaming engine, extendable audio reading, single and multithreading modes, 3d audio emulation for low end hardware, a plugin system, multiple rolloff models and more.
All this can be accessed via an extremely simple API using a similar object orientated design like known from the Irrlicht Engine.

Connect-k project is a framework for experimenting with and testing general AIs for games within the connect-k family.

Connect-k family of games contains games defined by three parameters: k, p, and q. The game is played on a Go-style (but not necessarily size) board. There are two players, black and white, who take turn placing stones on the board. The first player (black) plays q stones on the first turn and each player then plays p stones on every succeeding turn. The first player to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal sequence of k stones wins.

The game family includes Tic-Tac-Toe, Go-moku without capture rules, and a new game, Connect-6. Connect-6 was formally introduced and analyzed by Dr. I-Chen Wu in a series of papers that attempted to show that the game is fair. This has not been decisively proven but appears to be the case.

The Connect-k program originated as a University of Minnesota undergraduate Artificial Intelligence course project for the Spring 2007 semester. Aside from me, the project group included Jeff Deitch, Gabe Emerson, and Erik Shimshock. We attempted to develop general game playing algorithms capable of playing any game within the Connect-k family. The Connect-k program we produced is currently the only open source program to play Connect-6.

Eina project has a very simple, xmms-like philosophy just play.
