Adempiere is a community driven project which develops and supports an open source business solution of the same name, that delivers Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management and Supply Chain Management functionality.
The Adempiere project was created in September 2006 after a long running disagreement between ComPiere Inc., and the community that formed around that project. The community believed ComPiere Inc. placed too much emphasis on the open source commercial/lock-in nature of the project, rather than the community sharing/enriching nature of the project, and after an impassioned discussion decided to split from Compiere giving birth to the Adempiere project.
The project name comes from the Italian word meaning to fulfill but with additional context of "to complete, reach, practice, perform the duties of, or free (discharge), it also means to honor and respect", which is absolutely what the community wished to achieve.

Frepple is a Free Production Planning Library.
Plenty of planning tools are available for various production problems, different subprocess, different solver techniques.... A bit suprising, no proper solutions exist in the open source domain. Users often are left with expensive and inflexible tools and resort to spreadsheets to meet their needs.
This project aims at building an open source lightweight framework that easily and quickly delivers a solution for production planning problems. The initial focus is on small to medium sized master planning problems for the discrete manufacturing industry.
For the developer community, the project is also trying to establish a common ground framework for planning applications. Rather than building the basic building blocks (e.g. item, buffer, bill of material, ...) from scratch over and over again, developers can leverage a proven framework to extend with their own extension modules.

- centralized management : jobs can be run on local or remote servers (on TCP/IP network).
- jobs dependences : a job can wait for another to be terminated. A job can be started when an other is normally finished or aborted.
- start condition : a job can wait for a file-presence, for a manual validation or for a specified time.
- planning : a job can be planned at regular interval : every day, every month, every year...
- log of job activity : output of jobs (on console) are logged.
- job monitoring : a web interface is provide to control job execution.
- statistic for job duration : minimum, maximum and average duration.
- resource control : job queue with threshold for maximum number of running jobs allow to control access to limited ressources. Job queues can be manually opened or closed if the associated resource is not available.
Enhancements:
- This release provides an important bugfix: sometimes on Solaris systems, a core dump was generated when a job terminates.

KTrafficAnalyzer is meant to provide visual feedback of your current network traffic, similar to tools like DU-Meter. In addition it provides statistics with total down- and upload sums.
