Enable smart wake ups with wake_up_info() 0.5
This introduces a new wake up function wake_up_info() that enables the caller to pass additional information to the woke up tasks. more>>
Enable smart wake ups with wake_up_info() 0.5 is very useful for it is designed with the function of smart wake ups.
The current (2.6.0) Linux kernel does not allow the task that wakes up a wait queue, to pass information about the cause of the wake up and this forces the freshly wake up tasks to perform additional steps to query such information.
This is time consuming and not efficient. This patch introduces a new wake up function wake_up_info() that enables the caller to pass additional information to the woke up tasks. The information is passed to the callback function registered inside the wait structure.

FlowPlayer 1.19
FlowPlayer is a video player for Flash Video in FLV format. more>>
FlowPlayer project is a video player for Flash Video in FLV format. The UI is clean and simple.
The player is easy to configure and embed into your home page, site, or blog.
FlowPlayer.swf is a player that is ready to be used out-of-the box. FlowPlayer.html is an example of Web page that uses it. The name of the video file to be loaded by the player is specified in html page in the < object > tags flashvars attribute. This attribute is there in two places (both in < objec t> and < embed > tags) to maximize the number of supported Web browsers.
By default, the player loads the video file from the same location as it loads FlowPlayer.swf. The name of this variable is videoFile and the value should be the name of the video file with or without an extension.
There is also a way to specify a complete URL. This is done using the baseURL variable. When this mechanism is used the video files and FlowPlayer.swf may reside in different locations within the Web server or even in different servers.
autoPlay variable is used to specify whether playback should start immediately when the player has been loaded into the Web browser. Legal values for this parameter are true and false.
Please refer to FlowPlayer.html for descriptions of all HTML parameters used to control the player.
Enhancements:
- New FlowPlayer Skinning Kit to make skinning the player better than ever before.
- There is a new package in the downloads for this.
- Added all dependencies to the source distribution package and now its easier for new developers to start hacking.
- Fixes: VideoHeight does not have any effect in full screen mode any more, now resizes to fit the full area.
- Configured progress bar, buffering bar etc. colors were ignored and now work as espected.

Ion 3rc-20070708
Ion is a tiling (no overlapping windows) window manager that also has PWM-style tabbed frames which can contain multiple windows more>>
Ion is a tiling (no overlapping windows) window manager which also has PWM-style tabbed frames which can contain multiple client windows.
These features help to keep windows organized and to switch quickly between them. Ion was designed primarily as an efficient and unobtrusive window manager for users who prefer the keyboard
Main features:
- Tiling workspaces with tabbed frames, as discussed above.
- Designed to be primarily used from the keyboard.
- Fully documented configuration and scripting interface on top of the lightweight Lua extension language.
- Modular design. The main binary implements only basic window manager functionality. Actual window management policies are implemented by dynamically loaded workspace and other modules.
- The query module implements a line editor similar to mini buffers in many text editors. It is used to implement many different queries with tab-completion support: show manual page, run program, open SSH session, view file, goto named client window or workspace, etc.
- To run those few particularly badly behaving programs, Ion also supports conventional workspaces of the PWM flavour through the floatws module. This module is also used to implement PWM2 on top of the Ion core library.
- Other modules include the drawing engine, dock module for Window Maker dockapp support, menu module and, of course, the tiled workspaces module.
- Full screen client windows are seen as workspaces on their own. It is possible to switch to a normal workspace while keeping several client windows in full screen state and also switch clients that do not themselves support full screen mode to this state.
Ion is not perfect and certainly not for everyone, but neither is any user interface. To ultimately solve usability problems to the extent possible with current technologies, applications should be written independent of their user interfaces and the UIs should be built according to the users preferences based on a high-level semantic description of commands provided by the application.
Ion is, however, improving all the time and if you take the time to get used to it, you should hardly ever have to touch the mouse again to move between windows. Just remember that not all programs will play nicely with Ion because of presumptions about the window management model and even incompliance to the ICCCM. Terminal programs should work better than ever before, at least.
Enhancements:
- This third "rc" release again simply fixes some minor problems in the previous release.

Log::Log4perl::Layout::PatternLayout 1.11
Log::Log4perl::Layout::PatternLayout Perl module contains a pattern layout. more>>
Log::Log4perl::Layout::PatternLayout Perl module contains a pattern layout.
SYNOPSIS
use Log::Log4perl::Layout::PatternLayout;
my $layout = Log::Log4perl::Layout::PatternLayout->new(
"%d (%F:%L)> %m");
Creates a pattern layout according to http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/docs/api/org/apache/log4j/PatternLayout.html and a couple of Log::Log4perl-specific extensions.
The new() method creates a new PatternLayout, specifying its log format. The format string can contain a number of placeholders which will be replaced by the logging engine when its time to log the message:
%c Category of the logging event.
%C Fully qualified package (or class) name of the caller
%d Current date in yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss format
%F File where the logging event occurred
%H Hostname (if Sys::Hostname is available)
%l Fully qualified name of the calling method followed by the
callers source the file name and line number between
parentheses.
%L Line number within the file where the log statement was issued
%m The message to be logged
%M Method or function where the logging request was issued
%n Newline (OS-independent)
%p Priority of the logging event
%P pid of the current process
%r Number of milliseconds elapsed from program start to logging
event
%T A stack trace of functions called
%x The topmost NDC (see below)
%X{key} The entry key of the MDC (see below)
%% A literal percent (%) sign
NDC and MDC are explained in "Nested Diagnostic Context (NDC)" in Log::Log4perl and "Mapped Diagnostic Context (MDC)" in Log::Log4perl.
The granularity of time values is milliseconds if Time::HiRes is available. If not, only full seconds are used.

5.56mm Full Metal Jacket is a Doom 3 multiplayer modification. more>>
5.56mm Full Metal Jacket is a Doom 3 multiplayer modification
5.56mm Full Metal Jacket takes place in a fictive Environment where you have a West and an East team. Accordingly to your team you will get the full weapon-arsenal available supported by your side.
There are 5 classes of weapons .... Pistols, Shotguns, Sub-Machineguns, Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles. The target system will feature 2 modes ... Aiming with the cross-hair which gets less and less precise the further away you shoot or aiming through the weapons sights which influences the overall field of view but therefore is damn pretty precise.
The game features first- and thirdperson view though when in thirdperson the lack of a crosshair makes aiming more difficult. The levels will vary between huge outdoor scenarios and narrow office corridors.
Supported gametypes are: Capture the Flag, Team DeathMatch
Supported weapons so far are:
Pistols: RUGER MK 512, GLOCK 17
Shotguns: BENELLI M3, EICHLER
SMGs: MP5SD6, MAC10
Assault Rifles: XM177E2(AR15), AK-47

Sofia-SIP is an open-source SIP User-Agent library, compliant with the IETF RFC3261 specification. more>>
Sofia-SIP is an open-source SIP User-Agent library, compliant with the IETF RFC3261 specification.
Sofia-SIP project can be used as a building block for SIP client software for uses such as VoIP, IM, and many other real-time and person-to-person communication services.
The primary target platform for Sofia-SIP is GNU/Linux. Sofia-SIP is based on a SIP stack developed at the Nokia Research Center. Sofia-SIP is licensed under the LGPL.
Main features:
SIP features
- Sofia-SIP implementation follows RFC3261 and related key RFCs. INFO, UPDATE and REFER methods are supported. Also supported is SIMPLE presence and instant messaging, with the MESSAGE, SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY and PUBLISH methods. Features such as early sessions, provisional responses, early media, caller preferences and session timers are included. Full set of transports, including both TCP and UDP over either IPv4 or IPv6, are supported.
SIP Offer-Answer module
- Sofia-SIP provides an implementation of the SDP offer-answer negotiation as specified in RFC3264. This is an essential component in using SIP to establish media sessions such as VoIP and video conferencing.
NAT traversal support
- Support for STUN as specified in RFC3489. STUN functionality is available via a separate module, so it can also be used independently from the base SIP stack. SIP extensions such as symmetric response routing (RFC3581/rport) are supported as well.
SIP security support
- Signaling can be secured by use of SSL/TLS. Also HTTP basic and digest authentication methods are supported.

CLEX project is a file manager with a full-screen user interface written in C with the curses library.
It displays directory contents (including file status details) and provides features like command history, filename insertion, or name completion in order to help the user to construct commands to be executed by the shell (there are no built-in commands).
CLEX is easily configurable and all its features are explained in the on-line help.
Enhancements:
- This version corrects a bug.
- On some systems the filter in the file panel was counting selected files incorrectly.
- This data inconsistency could cause problems in other functions.
