Tresys Brickwall software makes it easy to manage the power of SELinux. Tresys Brickwall is built on an enhanced version of the Reference Policy that "targets" network facing applications for containment. SELinux forms a firewall around each application, protecting applications from each other and preventing an application from damaging the kernel. Tresys Brickwall provides an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that allows administrators to configure access to network resources at the application level. Security options (SELinux Booleans) can also be set on a per-application basis. Advanced users can even include raw SELinux policy for additional customization.

The Tresys Brickwall Professional and Enterprise Editions add targets for several applications not covered by the standard Reference Policy, and they allow administrators to define custom targets for applications not in the built-in target list. These editions also allow administrators to extend targets file access permissions.

The Tresys Brickwall Enterprise Edition adds a first-ever network management capability to SELinux. A central Tresys Enterprise Manager securely manages the configuration for all of the SELinux machines across an enterprise. Groups of client machines can be defined and a configuration can be managed and applied to all of the machines in that group. The Tresys Enterprise Manager also works with Tresys Razor™ products to manage enterprise applications like IBMs WebSphere and DB2.

Why Are You Doing This When Already Exists?
ITema provides managed, hosted applications to small businesses, with an emphasis on integration. Part of our vision is to offer our customers choice, so they arent locked into a specific product or vendor. We need very good integration technology or well end up with an unmanageable spider web of integration hooks. An ESB is tailor-made for this type of work. It gives us the loose coupling we need to let applications run independently, and handles grunt-work tasks like communicating via message queues so we can focus on writing the code that does the real work.
The available Java ESB products didnt meet our needs. PHP was a more natural choice, but there was no ESB available for it. We decided it was better for us to write what we needed than to try to shoehorn what we were doing into another product. Our hope is that by releasing Blackbird under the GPL, other developers will get as much out of it as we have.
Blackbird isnt intended to be an isolated project, or a replacement for a Java ESB. In fact, we anticipated that it could be very useful to use both a Java and PHP ESB at the same time, in different layers of an architecture. Blackbirds design makes this straightforward, and it expects to communicate via STOMP with a message queue such as Apache ActiveMQ. It can even use the same ActiveMQ instance that supports a ServiceMix environment, so writing a Blackbird component to communicate with a ServiceMix component is easy!

OpenNMS is a FREE and the first enterprise-grade network management platform developed using the open source model.
The three main functional areas of OpenNMS are service polling, which monitors services on the network and reports on their "service level"; data collection from the remote systems via SNMP in order to measure the performance of the network; and a system for event management and notifications.

Enterprise File Exchange (EFX) slots in where email file attachment limits stop your users from sending those important files to a contact.

In the EFX world, the user visits the EFX site, uploads the file, enters the receivers email address and lets the system notify the receiver that theres a file waiting for them, via a simple email message.

Senders need to sign up, and the EFX system only allows transfers between internal users (those with addresses in an approved list) and external users, never external to external.

It is written in Python, using the Pylons framework.
