HTML::CalendarMonthSimple is a Perl module for generating, manipulating, and printing a HTML calendar grid for a specified month. It is intended as a faster and easier-to-use alternative to HTML::CalendarMonth.

This module requires the Date::Calc module, which is available from CPAN if you dont already have it.

gnscd is a name service caching daemon. gnscd is a replacement for nscd that has been rewritten with different networking and database code. It implements both the glibc235 and glibc232 nscd protocols in one daemon, sharing one cache.

OPTIONS

Display basic information on daemon status. For compatibility with GNU nscd. Useful in watchdog scripts.

Dont daemonize. Also print debugging information about what is going on inside gnscd

DONT Let It Burn! (1-click Timer) script is just a very basic, 1-click alarm clock. You set the number of minutes and at that time a sound (which you need to set) will be played. No application is started, the sound is played through the aplay command, so its independent from the player you have installed.

Why?

I know there are tons of much better alarm clocks out there. In fact, this is not supposed to be an alarm clock. Its just a sort of kitchen timer, for computer addicted.

My problem was that i was burning all my food (kinda following, too literally, what Usher says in his song "Let it burn!").

After throwing something in the oven or putting on the cookers i use to go back working on the PC and every time i forget about the food. I cant be bother to set a "full alarm clock", need something REALLY fast that reminds me about the food just some minutes later (and if possible i prefer that such reminder is not the horn of the firemen coming to extinguish the fire i caused)

Installation:

Place dont_let_it_burn.desktop in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus

Place dont_let_it_burn.sh in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin

Place dont_let_it_burn.au in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin

IMPORTANT: you need to point to a valid audio file, supported bu the apply command (wav or au for example). I have included a small sample file, dont_let_it_burn.au, if you place it in the bin directory then you dont need to do anything else. If you want another file just modify dont_let_it_burn.sh setting a valid path in the variable FULL_PATH_TO_AUDIO_FILE

SchemaView Plus is a GUI for retrieve, drawing and printing database schema.
Schema can be retrieved using DBIx::SystemCatalog (currently supported basicly all current DBD drivers, some better support for PostgreSQL and quite well support for Oracle).
Program use XML for storing and retrieving data in text files. You can write any filters to modify these XML files for add new functionality based on your projects (e.g. droping off some relationships etc.). You can specify one filename on command line for autoloading it after GUI start up.
Schema can be printed to PostScript file.
Version restrictions:
- Problem with manipulating of dragpoint in smooth coords based connection method, retrieving only updates from database -- now forgot all new informations, I retrieve always all relationships (e.g. for 1 table in large schema - slow), many tables in create relationship dont allow selection, selecting object on canvas dont click_repository(), dnd object from object repository rollback in object repository listbox and filter dont work.

I know that theres a GNUstep port of the famous OpenUp application but I must admit that for a living I have to use Windoze at work.

After a while I got quite used to Winzips UI. Although I dont like some of its features, what I really like is the content listing of an archive without actually having to unpack it. This is what Zipper currently tries to mimic.

This has also the advantage that you dont have to unpack archives from networked volumes to your local disk just to view whats in it.
