libpwmd is a library that makes it easy to patch applications to use pwmd (Password Manager Daemon). The project supports password retrieval from a pinentry program.

Exact Image is a fast (and soon modern and generic) image processing library. For a client we had to optimize the insane time imagemagick spent on certain image processing tasks. After the first code review it became clear that imagemagick was coded for anything but speed.
We protoyped the needed code in C++, just for speed, and archived processing times about 1/20 of what imagemagick consumes.
It is intended to become a modern, generic (template) based C++ library, when time permits. - Hopefully a viable alternative to ImageMagick.
Enhancements:
- Image segmentation and fuzzy image contour pattern matching were added.
- Support for rendering arbitrary vector pathes and text was added through Anti-Grain-Geometry integration.
- The X- and Y-axis flip optimizations were implemented for 16-bit channels, as well as functions to change contrast, brightness, gamma, hue, saturation, and lightness, and invert images.
- The convolution matrix was exported to the CLI econvert.

gphoto2 is a command line application which enables you to transfer digital photos from almost any serial-port or USB digital camera.

gPhoto2 uses the programming interface provided by libgphoto2.

Digital cameras have the balance of quality, features, and price that appeals to users looking for a fast and convenient way to get images into their PC. You can spend a lot more -- or a lot less -- for one than the $100 to $3000 (or even more) these cost, but you wont like the quality at the low end or the prices at the high end. With digital cameras, the best place to be is in the middle.

No other image-capture option for your computer matches the fun, immediacy, and convenience of a digital camera. Unlike with a scanner, you dont need an preexisting image: A digital camera lets you capture what you see. And unlike film-to-disk services, development is instantaneous: You dont have to wait hours or days before you can use an image on your computer.

Operating a digital camera is also inexpensive, because the only recurring cost is batteries. The cameras storage is reusable once you download a batch of images. And since you dont have to pay for film processing, you can go wild.

Unfortunately, many digital camera manufacturers refuse to share their camera communication specifications with their customers and millions of users who run free operating systems.

This is a big obstacle to development of free photo applications, and it blocks free software developers from writing free programs, that support the same features as the proprietary digital camera programs for Microsoft Windows and MacOS that usually are shipped with the camera. It renders the camera quite useless if you dont run one of those proprietary operating systems.

PMD is a Java source code analyzer. PMD finds unused variables, empty catch blocks, unnecessary object creation, and more. PMD project includes CPD, a tool to detect chunks of identical code
PMD scans Java source code and looks for potential problems like:
- Possible bugs - empty try/catch/finally/switch statements
- Dead code - unused local variables, parameters and private methods
- Suboptimal code - wasteful String/StringBuffer usage
- Overcomplicated expressions - unnecessary if statements, for loops that could be while loops
- Duplicate code - copied/pasted code means copied/pasted bugs
PMD is integrated with JDeveloper, Eclipse, JEdit, JBuilder, BlueJ, CodeGuide, NetBeans/Sun Java Studio Enterprise/Creator, IntelliJ IDEA, TextPad, Maven, Ant, Gel, JCreator, and Emacs.
Enhancements:
- Fixed bug 1697397 - fixed false positives in ClassCastExceptionWithToArray
- Fixed bug 1728789 - removed redundant rule AvoidNonConstructorMethodsWithClassName; MethodWithSameNameAsEnclosingClass is faster and does the same thing.

UCommon is a lightweight C++ library to facilitate using C++ design patterns even for very deeply embedded applications, such as for systems using uClibc along with POSIX threading support.

For this reason, UCommon disables language features that consume memory or introduce runtime overhead. UCommon introduces some design patterns from Objective-C, such as reference counted objects, memory pools, and smart pointers.

This project introduces some new concepts for handling of thread locking and synchronization.

gx project is a little image viewer for GNOME. I wrote it to learn gtkmm (the C++ wrapper for the GTK+ api). It can rotate, rescale, and zoom in/out an image. It currently supports one image at a time.
