Global Menu 0.7.3 functions as a worldwide-shared menu bar of all applications which is launched in your desktop session. (A replacement of the old Mac-Menu package)

DeSmuME project is a Nintendo DS emulator that can run both commercial games and homebrew applications.

The original author of DeSmuME is YopYop156. He has stopped working on it on the beginning of april 2006 and passed the torch to a new team of developers. You can now follow the progress of DeSmuME on this site.

FoxTor is a Firefox extension for anonymous Web browsing using the encrypted TOR network.

When you use the Internet, you leave a trail of information that can be used to track your online activities. FoxTor is a tool that helps prevent this. It provides an easy and convenient way to browse the web using the anonymous and encrypted TOR network.

This offers greater privacy compared to regular proxy services or extensions.

We use the "Masked" and "Unmasked" metaphor to help you control when websites can and cannot track you. Once installed, you Mask and Unmask yourself by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner of your web browser.

NOTE: Tor and Privoxy are required. Grab the latest "Tor & Privoxy & Vidalia" bundle from http://tor.eff.org/download.html.en

Kima is a KDE kicker applet that shows the current CPU temperature and frequency. Make sure you have enabled the temperature ACPI kernel module (thermal.ko).
Installation:
run configure
./configure --prefix=$(kde-config --prefix)
build the sources
make
install the applet (with appropriate rights)
su -c make install
finally add the applet to your KDE panel.
Enhancements:
- thread wakeups minimized which should lead to a better powertop result
- crash fix: prevent i18n calls from within threads (it seems i18n isnt thread safe)

nwcc is a small C compiler for Unix systems that I wrote in my freetime, for fun and to prove to myself that I could. I started the project in August 2003, but because I had a job and a life and a few other hobby code projects, it took me until autumn 2005 to make it work with various constructs of the C language.
So what new does nwcc bring to the table? Most importantly, new code: I wrote everything from scratch - including the lexer, parser and backend.
The code of nwcc is written in C, is currently around 25.000 lines in size, and Im releasing it under the BSD license.
This release is not intended for serious use, but at least nwcc is strong enough to compile itself (the result of which can compile nwcc as well) and should thus be capable of dealing with at least some small programs. There are still some things missing/broken, but things are improving almost every day (I upload my changes to SF whenever I add/fix something of interest.)
Main features:
- There are some C language features missing; Most notably support for floating point, bitfields and a few other things. Many other things are broken (there are probably bugs in pretty much every language feature implemented by nwcc)
- There are no features a power developer used to established mainstream compilers would consider interesting, yet (apart from, maybe, the stack protection feature.) Sorry. There is nothing beyond plain dumb compilation; No support for creating shared libraries, no support for debugging or profiling, no nothing
- There is currently only a backend for 80x86 processors (which generates code for the NASM Netwide Assembler and works on Linux, FreeBSD and OpenBSD)
- There is absolutely no optimization, meaning the generated code is very slow compared to the output of established compilers. I will work on this soon, but you should understand that my primary concerns right now are code correctness and portability rather than speed (its hard enough to make slow code work!)
It takes a lot of work to get even a subset of the C language to compile, so the fact that something is missing or done wrong in nwcc does not mean that I dont care about that particular area of the C language or compiler design; It only means that I havent gotten around to doing it right, or indeed at all, yet.
Enhancements:
- Most floating point support for x86 and AMD64 has been rewritten.
- Many floating point bugs were also fixed on PPC32 and PPC64.
- Various other severe bugs were fixed on all supported platforms.

keyspeedapplet project is a panel applet to show the speed you are typing.

This is an Applet, similar to the applets, showing the cpu-speed, which shows the speed you are currently typing.

It shows the average speed of the last 15 seconds and the average speed of the last minute.

In addition it shows how many errors you made and features a highscore list which is stored human readable in ~/.keyspeedrc.yaml

G2F3 project is a generic framework for strategy games.

G2F3 (Generic Game Framework in eiFFel) aims to simplify the development of two player zero sum strategy games by separating game specific code from reusable generic code. So far, abstract board games are best supported.

This software is written using GNU SmartEiffel. The package comes with six example games.

Whats New in This Release:

Dependencies
- A current snapshot of SmartEiffel-2.2 is now required. 2.2-beta and earlier
will not work anymore with this code.

New Features
- Added Tanbo (GTK UI only), an excellent abstract strategy game invented by
Mark Steere (http://www.marksteere.com, http://www.tanbo.com). Thanks to
Mark for sharing his idea under a very clear copyleft license.
At the moment, the computer plays weak, though not absolutely dumb. I think
I already know how to improve the evaluation function. Will try that soon.
- Tanbo and Breakthrough can now be built for different board sizes. Those
game directories have subdirectories for each board size. To compile, cd to
one of these and use the normal build commands (see doc). Currently, the
board size cannot be changed at runtime.

Improvements
- More improvements in the evaluation function in Breakthrough.
- Node explorer: Now using monospace font for the two state views. Game positions
stored in BIT_2_BOARD_STORAGE and decendants are now shown in ASCII art.
- Undo is now unlimited. Modified NODE_HISTORY and UNDO_REDO_BUFFER now
using linear memory instead of circular. This was done in anticipation of REPOSITORY
which will be used for load/save of games. With unlimited undo/redo, games
can be saved by storing moves only (rather than saving moves plus the oldest
game position).
- New class BIT_LARGE in e-lib. Used in the code for Tanbo.

Code Changes and Cleanup
- New feature {GEOMETRY_RECTANGLE}.rook_neighbors.
- Removed special loadpath files that were supposed to trick eiffeldoc into
running without errors. Eiffeldoc assumes no conflicts in the whole type universe.
This is not the case with the current state of this framework...
- Added insert ANY to BIT_2_BOARD_KEY and BIT_1_BOARD_KEY to get
the body of is_equal (now deferred in HASHABLE).
- Added insert PLATFORM to STORAGE_HASHABLE to get Maximum_integer.
- FILE_FINDER now uses {FILE_TOOLS}.is_readable instead of {ANY}.file_exists
which is now obsolete.
- New feature {BOARD_GAME_DISPLAY}.flash_cell and changed
{BOARD_GAME_DISPLAY}.animate_from_to to make use of this.
- New feature {SERVER}.int_move_input to simplify games where move_dim = 1.
Added precondition to incremental_move_input and incremental_set_move_input.
- {ALPHA_BETA_TT}.main_search and {ALPHA_BETA_TT}.alpha_beta_tt: Now using new
local variable dict_key which avoids calling {STORAGE_HASHABLE}.hash_key twice
(which is *not* an attribute). Gives some tiny speed improvement.
- New feature {BIT_BOARD_STORAGE}.occupier (was needed to remove hard coded
board sizes in Breakthrouigh). TODO: remove overlap with display_code.

Bugfixes
- Fixed an embarassing bug in the evaluation function of Breakthrough (forgotten
not in line 220 of STORAGE_BREAKTHROUGH) that caused the AIs to play
very weak moves.
- Fixed a self-made memory leak in {DICTIONARY_MANAGER}.clean_up: collection was
off when full_collect was called. Since collection is always off when the computer
AI is busy, I can hardly blame SmartEiffel for not automatically calling the GC
within the relatively few lines of code when collection was on. Thus, the
programs consumed more and more memory as soon as a TT based algorithm was used.
- Removed usage of twin in {DICTIONARY_MANAGER}.add_useful_to_shadow. I have
no idea why I had used twin there in the first place. This was not really a
bug but it caused unneccessary memory consumption in addition to the collection
bug mentioned above.

Build System
- ACE files and top level makefile moved to the new directory scripts.
- ACE files and the top level makefile now expect a new variable G2F3 which
must point to the root directory of the G2F3 package. This variable is
used to locate non-Eiffel files. Also, all Eiffel files which are
not part of the SE standard library are now always located using loadpath.se
in the current directory. All example programs still compile out of the box
as the application specific makefiles take care of setting the G2F3 variable.
These changes allow for more flexibility in the game directories (which may
now contain subdirectories).
- ACE files: added "${path_lib}/kernel/internal" to cluster sections
(required by SE-2.2).
