GData Java Client 1.13.0
GData Java Client provides a library and source code that make it easy to access data through Google Data APIs. more>>
GData Java Client provides a library and source code that make it easy to access data through Google Data APIs.
The Google data APIs ("GData" for short) provide a simple standard protocol for reading and writing data on the web. GData combines common XML-based syndication formats (Atom and RSS) with a feed-publishing system based on the Atom publishing protocol, plus some extensions for handling queries.
Google also provides a set of client libraries for interacting with GData-enabled services, in a variety of programming languages. Using these libraries, you can construct GData requests, send them to a service, and receive responses.

NcFTP Client 3.2.1
NcFTP Client is a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client applications. more>>
NcFTPs purpose is to provide a powerful and flexible interface to the Internet standard File Transfer Protocol. It is intended to replace the stock ftp program that comes with the system.
Although the program appears to be rather spartan, youll find that ncftp has a wealth of valuable performance and usage features. The program was designed with an emphasis on usability, and it does as much as it can for you automatically so you can do what you expect to do with a file transfer program, which is transfer files between two interconnected systems.
Some of the cooler features include progress meters, filename completion, command-line editing, background processing, auto-resume downloads, bookmarking, cached directory listings, host redialing, working with firewalls and proxies, downloading entire directory trees, etc., etc.
The ncftp distribution comes with the useful utility programs ncftpget(1) and ncftpput(1) which were designed to do command-line FTP. In particular, they are very handy for shell scripts. This version of ncftp no longer does command-line FTP, since the main ncftp program is more of a browser-type program.

Avis client library 1.0
Avis client library is a Java API for clients accessing Elvin event routers. more>>
Avis client library is a Java API for clients accessing Elvin event routers, including the open source Avis event router and the commercial Mantara Elvin product.
Avis is an event router service compatible with the commercial Elvin implementation developed by Mantara Software. Avis provides a fast, general-purpose publish/subscribe message bus.
Elvin event routers alllow arbitrary messages, known as notifications, to be exchanged via a publish/subscribe model. Elvin clients subscribe to messages published by other clients using expressions that match messages by their content.
The content-based routing approach used in Elvin routers differs from many other message bus systems that operate by selecting messages published on pre-defined channels, and has the advantage of promoting a much higher level of decoupling between producers and consumers of events.
The name "Avis" derives from the French word avis, meaning advice or notification.
Enhancements:
- This release marks a stable baseline for the Java client API.
- The core set of features required for an Elvin client library are now implemented and stable, including subscription, notification, security, close event notification, liveness checking, and router connection option support.

HTTunnel::Client 0.08
HTTunnel::Client is a client class for Apache::HTTunnel. more>>
HTTunnel::Client is a client class for Apache::HTTunnel.
SYNOPSIS
my $hc = new HTTunnel::Client("http://localhost/httunnel") ;
$hc->connect(tcp, $some_host, $some_port) ;
$hc->print(some request) ;
my $some_response = $hc->read(1024) ;
$ch->close() ;
HTTunnel::Client is the client class to Apache::HTTunnel. It allows the creation of a network connection tunnelled through HTTP. All data sent and received during this connection will be transported inside normal HTTP requests.
HTTunnel::Client extends LWP::UserAgent, so all LWP::UserAgent methods are available through HTTunnel::Client.
CONSTRUCTORS
new ( URL, [ARGS] )
Creates an HTTunnel::Client object that will use URL to contact the Apache::HTTunnel server. ARGS are is passed directly to the LWP::UserAgent constructor.
METHODS
connect ( PROTO, HOST, PORT, [TIMEOUT] )
Asks the Apache::HTTunnel server to establish a connection of protocol PROTO to HOST:PORT. An exception is thrown if an error occurs.
Accepted values for PROTO are tcp and udp.
print ( DATA )
Asks the Apache::HTTunnel server to write DATA to the established remote connection. An exception is thrown if an error occurs.
DATA can be a scalar or a list, in which case the list items are concatenated together.
read ( LEN, [TIMEOUT], [LIFELINE], [LIFELINE_CUT_ACTION] )
Asks the Apache::HTTunnel server to read up to LEN bytes from the established remote connection. An exception is thrown if an error occurs.
When trying to read, HTTunnel::Client will establish an HTTP connection to the Apache::HTTunnel server asking that LEN bytes be read. If no data is available after TIMEOUT seconds (the default value is 15 seconds), the HTTP connection is closed by the server and the read method will establish a new one. This will go on until some data or EOF is returned.
Therefore read will return only when some (or no more) data is available to be read (like the regular read).
LIFELINE can be any valid filehandle from which one can read. If used, read will interrupt its connection loop and execute LIFELINE_CUT_ACTION when data (or EOF) is available to be read from LIFELINE. It will then return undef.
LIFELINE_CUT_ACTION wust be a CODE ref. The default value is
sub {die("lifeline cutn")}
These features can be used if you want fork and to start a process that does nothing but reads and returns the data via a pipe. You can then use a second pipe to make sure the reader process terminates when the master process terminates.
Here is an example:
my $lifeline = new IO::Pipe() ;
my $reader = new IO::Pipe() ;
my $pid = fork() ;
if ($pid){
$reader->reader() ;
$lifeline->writer() ;
# Read data from $reader...
}
else {
$reader->writer() ;
$reader->autoflush(1) ;
$lifeline->reader() ;
while (1){
my $data = $hc->read(1024, 15, $lifeline, sub {exit()}) ;
exit() unless defined($data) ;
print $reader $data ;
}
}
close ( )
Asks the Apache::HTTunnel server to close a previously established connection.
get_peer_info ( )
The get_peer_info method returns information about the remote connection. A string containing the IP address and port number, separated by a colon (:) is returned. This method can be useful with UDP connections to validate the sender of each packet.
request_callback ( REQUEST )
The request_callback method is a callback method that can be used to access the HTTP::Request object just before it is sent. The default implementation does nothing.
response_callback ( RESPONSE )
The response_callback method is a callback method that can be used to access the HTTP::Response object just after it is received. The default implementation does nothing.

SQuirreL SQL Client 2.5.1
SQuirreL SQL Client is a graphical Java program that will allow you to view the structure of a JDBC compliant database. more>>
SQuirreL SQL Client is a graphical Java program that will allow you to view the structure of a JDBC compliant database, browse the data in tables, issue SQL commands etc. The minimum version of Java supported is 1.4.x. We recommend 1.5.x. See the Old Versions page for versions of SQuirreL that will work with older versions of Java.
SQuirreLs functionality can be extended through the use of plugins. A short introduction can be found here. To see the change history (including changes not yet released) click here.
Susan Cline graciously took the time to document the steps she followed to setup an Apache Derby database from scratch and use the SQuirreL SQL Client to explore it.
Quite some time ago Kulvir Singh Bhogal wrote a great tutorial on SQuirreL and published it at the IBM developerWorks site. He has kindly allowed us to mirror it locally. The tutorial is not really up to date but especially for doing the first steps it is still of help.
SQuirrel was originally released under the GNU General Public License. Since version 1.1beta2 it has been released under the GNU Lesser General Public License.
Whats New in This Release:
1716859 Cant see data in content tab or row count tab (MS SQLServer databases
with a dash ("-") in their name would cause the content tab or row count
tabs to render no data.
1714476: (DB copy uses wrong case for table names) The copy operation would
sometimes fail to select records from the source table. Since the
case for the source table is always known to be correct, the plugin
no longer erroneously attempts to correct the case.
1700093: Formatter fails for insert script with multiple subselects
Refactoring Plugin: SQL-Server needs eol between GO and statement.
Fixed bug which appeared while editing tables in PostgreSQL 8.1. If the table
was created without an OID column, the last column would not be editable.
Fix for issue where dates arent correctly displayed or updated when using
treat date as timestamp pref in the SQl Editor result panel.
Use the last directory that a file was imported from when importing additional
files for binary fields.
1699294: Squirrel imports BLOB, but does not update data
Oracle Plugin: Handle slashes when they are used as statement separators.
137984 (Bug in alias delete) The problem was that notifications were being
sent to the alias drop-down that the item was being deleted which trigger an
update and new selection forcing the connect to alias window to be launched.
Now, the alias drop down is disabled while the update is happening and enabled
immediately afterward.

Gimp::ScriptFu::Client 1.01
Gimp::ScriptFu::Client is a Perl client for the GNU Image Manipulation Program. more>>
Gimp::ScriptFu::Client is a Perl client for the GNU Image Manipulation Program.
Gimp::ScriptFu::Client acts as a source filter in a Scheme script that uses Text::Template to preprocess any embedded Perl fragments contained between { } brackets before sending the resulting Scheme to a Gimp Script-Fu server. Each Perl fragment may or may not produce a Scheme fragment.
The Scheme script becomes a standalone client application.
This permits using Perl for getting parameters from the real world or for generating complex Scheme expressions, that would be more difficult or impossible with plain Scheme.
It also makes it possible to do Perlish things with Gimp if you cant do the compiler stuff for Gimp/Gimp::Fu for your OS. All recent Gimp versions include the Script-Fu server.
