Mobilizer 0.4
Mobilizer project is a Firefox extension lets you easily send your pictures, video, audio files. more>>
Mobilizer project is a Firefox extension lets you easily send your pictures, video, audio files and text from the web to most cell phones in the US. With the Mobilizer installed, simply right-click on a web page or media file, tell us what mobile phone number(s) you want to receive the media, and Mixxer will automatically re-format and deliver the media to those cell phone(s).
You can either select “Mobilize This!” to send the particular media file you are pointing to, or select “Mobilize All!” to choose from all the media files on the page. In cases where the media is embedded (such as flash) and you can’t right-click, hover over it and a Mobilizer link will appear above the media...
Mixxer’s Mobilizer browser extension, and conversion and delivery service, works with just about any wireless carrier in the U.S. and are FREE. Please note, however, that wireless carriers may charge extra for text messaging (SMS or MMS) or accessing the Internet.

RipIT 3.6.0
RipIT is used to create MPEG-1 Layer 3 (mp3), Flac (flac) or Ogg Vorbis (ogg) audio files from an audio CD. more>>
RipIT is used to create MPEG-1 Layer 3 (mp3), Flac (flac) or Ogg Vorbis (ogg) audio files from an audio CD and from version 3.4 also faac (m4a). RipIT is a console based front-end (no fancy GUI here), written in perl, for these excellent programs:
- dagrab, cdparanoia or cdda2wav (tosha and cdd are also supported) for ripping the audio CD tracks (I dont know if dagrab is still up to date..., but its COOL!)
- Lame, OggVorbis, Flac or Faac for encoding the wav files to mp3, ogg, flac or m4a (find some info and links)
- CDDB_get (perl module) for CDDB retrieval (info and links).
Main features:
- Gets the Audio CD Album/Artist/Tracks information from CDDB
- Rips the Audio CD Tracks
- Encodes to flac, mp3 or ogg
- id3 tags encoded songs
- Creates an playlist (m3u) file
- Can prepare and send a CDDB submission.
Enhancements:
- Some minor bugs were fixed.
- The following options have been introduced: merge, resume, md5sum (to create MD5-sum files for each type of sound file), core (to allow several encoding processes on each machine), fpermission and dpermission (to set directory and file permissions), ghost (an experimental feature to split wavs with silence into chunks of sound), prepend and extend (to enlarge chunks of sound when split with the ghost option), and ejectcmd and ejectopt.

AudioMove 1.15
AudioMove is a handy GUI-based batch audio file converter/ copier program. more>>
AudioMove project is a simple, easy to use GUI-based batch audio file copy-and-conversion program.
You just tell it what files to convert, what format to convert them to, and where to put the output files, and it does it.
Main features:
- Converts from any format that libsndfile can read, to WAV, AIFF, or LCS format
- Uses libsamplerate for high-quality sample rate conversion to various sample rates (11.025kHz-192kHz)
- Supports 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit, or floating-point output sample widths
- Specify files to convert using file requester or drag-and-drop
- Multithreaded design for faster processing on multiprocessor machines
- Pipelined dataflow for efficient resource utilization
- Recursively batch-convert entire directory trees in a single step
- Conversion-batch sizes may be arbitrarily large (e.g. thousands of files at a time)
- Can be controlled from the command line (useful for invoking batch conversions from scripts)
- No installation necessary -- just unzip and run
- Qt-based GUI means AudioMove is portable to most major OSs
- Open source (GPL); source code is available below
- SUSE 9.1, MacOS/X and Windows binaries available below for your convenience.
Enhancements:
- The codebase has been ported to Qt 4.2.3.
- The ability to split multitrack files into single-track stems has been added.
- A "Convert in Place" mode has been added.
- BEXT chunks in WAV files are now preserved.
- Support has been added for 64-bit float sample widths.
- The column layout is now more customizable.
- All controls now have keyboard shortcuts.
- Several bugs have been fixed.

Entagged 0.30
Entagged is a Java Audio File Tagger, using the freedb online database for the retrieval of the tags. more>>
Entagged project provides a convenient way of changing the value of these fields, either manually, or automatically via the freedb database.
The freedb database is a server to wich you can connect, and ask about a precise CD (album, or compilation), if this CD is found in the database, it returns all the data needed to correctly tag your audio files. Originally it used only with CD, but it can also be used with audio files as soon as it only need the length (in seconds) of the files.
Entagged can also do a lot of organization work. You can rename your files from their tag in any way you like, including complex directory structures. You can also tag the files from their filename, this avoid copying all the information by hand.
Best of all, Entagged hides all the different format complexity, with one unique interface, you can work with mixed file formats eg. you can use freedb with a mixed album of WMA, MP3 and OGG files without worrying!
Enhancements:
- Add a database (HSQLDB)
- Add a search engine
- Add a duplicate files and error names finder
- Create playlist easily

Media Tag Tools 0.3.2
Media Tag Tools is as the name suggests a collection of tools to help you tag your audio files. more>>
Media Tag Tools is as the name suggests a collection of tools to help you tag your audio files.
Rename them using the data present in their tags and/or categorise the files in folders automatically.
Installation:
You need the following packages to be able to compile mediatagtools: qt3 and taglib-1.4
If you have installed precompiled packages of these two libs, be sure to check if you have
also installed the -dev packages too.
Now unpack the archive and then inside the directory that was created the following commands (without the #):
# qmake
# make
and optionally if you want the program installed in /usr/local/bin:
# INSTALL_ROOT=/usr/local/ make install
Set INSTALL_ROOT to where you want to install the file. make install will then create a folder named bin and in there it will copy the program.
Have fun!
Enhancements:
- Fix selection of files after renaming them
- Fix segfault when opening a file with no tags
- Mtt can now take a dir as argument and add the media files for editing
- Add an application icon
- Add a .desktop file so that mtt appears in your menus automatically

Audio collection script 1.0
Audio collection script is a script which can help you manage collections of audio files. more>>
Audio collection script is a script which can help you manage collections of audio files. For example, I have a directory with all my audio files in it, sorted by band/album. I also have an audio collections directory. Within that directory I have a few list files which contain patterns for songs that should be part of that collection. The script generates or updates a subdirectory for each list file present and creates links within those directories to all music files from my main audio directory that match the patterns in the list file.
An example:
Your music files are in /audio
Your collections are in /audio-collections
The file /audio-collections/funny.list has the following lines:
/audio-collections/funny/
#the next line matches all songs within a tripod directory
tripod/
monty*python
kevin*bloody*wilson
bill*clinton*miss*lewinsky*and*i
When run, it will process each .list file in the current directory. So for this example, when run from /audio-collections, it will create or clean out the directory /audio-collections/funny and create links inside it for any files found within /audio which match the specified patterns.
The first line in each list file specifies the directory to create and use for the links. The patterns in the file will match on the full path of a song.
Note: I am pretty sure it would not be a good path to put your collections inside your main audio directory.
