Network Configurator is a network configuration tool.
Network Configurator is user-level tool that aims to make network configuration more easy. It have command line and GTK+ interface.
Supported network types:
- Ethernet
- PPPoE
- PPTP
- Wi-Fi (no WEP and WPA for now)
- dialup

NetCARD Config project helps linux users to configure network cards for two ip one for DSL network one for Local Network.

Nagios Config project is a Web-based front end for configuring Nagios 1.x.
Nagios is a host and service monitor designed to inform you of network problems before your clients, end-users or managers do. It has been designed to run under the Linux operating system, but works fine under most *NIX variants as well.
The monitoring daemon runs intermittent checks on hosts and services you specify using external "plugins" which return status information to Nagios. When problems are encountered, the daemon can send notifications out to administrative contacts in a variety of different ways (email, instant message, SMS, etc.). Current status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via a web browser.

Java Network Stack provides a Java library for research oriented network programming.

Java Network Stack is a library used by the DIMES project to create new internet measurements. It provides a clean API for packet manipulation, send, receive, filter, and analysis. It is a unification of raw socket capabilities, MAC level networkingm, and IPv6 capabilities.

This is a traffic generator. It is used to check what massive amounts of traffic of certain type will do to an intervening network.

It does not try to measure throughput or response times. It has been made with the question in mind: If 100 clients does simultaneous TCP transfers for 2 days, will my router break? Or can I configure my firewall while 50 people are doing large TCP transfers through the device?

pkg-config is a helper tool used when compiling applications and libraries. It helps you insert the correct compiler options on the command line so an application can use gcc -o test test.c `pkg-config --libs --cflags glib-2.0` for instance, rather than hard-coding values on where to find glib (or other libraries). It is language-agnostic, so it can be used for defining the location of documentation tools, for instance.
The program free software and licensed under the [WWW]GPL version 2 or any later version (at your option).
pkg-config works on multiple platforms: Linux and other UNIX-like operating systems, Mac OS X and Windows. It does not require anything but a reasonably well working C compiler and a C library, but can use an installed glib if that is present. (A copy of glib 1.2.8 is shipped together with pkg-config and this is sufficient for pkg-config to compile and work properly.)
The first implementation was written in shell, by James Henstridge. Later, it was rewritten in C by Havoc Pennington. It also grew an autoconf macro written by Tim Janik, later rewritten by Scott James Remnant.
Enhancements:
- Segfaults were fixed.
- Win32 fixes were made.
- The --short-errors option was added, and is now used by pkg.m4 if available.
- This gives a better error message if some libraries cant be found.

Network Traffic Analyzer analyzes the network traffic on multiple network devices and creates HTML statistics with some network usage graphs. Sometimes it is good to know, how the network is used, how many bytes were received and how many bytes were sent.Therefore, here is Network Traffic Analyzer, which creates simple network usage statistics.


Such statistics can tell you, how good your network connection really is (who cares about what Internet provider say, when was the network down, which time is the best time for downloading large packages of data etc. etc. Or with this software you can just better imagine, how many traffic can your home computer generate.

Network Time Tools (NTT) is a set of network tools designed to provide monitoring of a network and the services on that network, and provide various reports on the hosts/services and optional alerts via email, pager, and cellphones. It also has the capability to send messages on user-specified services to email, pagers and cell phones.
