Distributed Multiplatform Framework 0.7.1 / 1.0 RC1

Distributed Multiplatform Framework 0.7.1 / 1.0 RC1

lbDMF is a component based multiplatform framework. more>>
Distributed Multiplatform Framework is a component-based programming framework using XML (or currently a hardcoded variant) as the repository.
The samples are implemented either in console or wxWidgets. This shows the independence of the GUI or UI.
This framework includes a database form sample that let you modify content of ODBC SQL data sources.
Distributed Multiplatform Framework project shows how simple it is to create database driven applications.
With version 0.6.0 the features are nearly complete. It could show simple database forms, master-detail database forms and would also capable to show it in tabbed, dialog based or combined layouts.
Whats New in 0.7.1 Stable Release:
- The ODBC code has been fixed to work properly with MS SQL databases.
- Missing vendor libraries have been added that broke the build system.
Whats New in 1.0 RC1 Development Release:
- The most important new feature is the ability to import UML designs.
- To make a database application prototype, you now only need to design some classes with attributes and build relations using an aggregate from one class to another.

SMPlayer offers users a complete front-end for MPlayer, from basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like support for MPlayer filters and more. more>>

SMPlayer 0.6.8 offers users a complete front-end for MPlayer, from basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like support for MPlayer filters and more.

One of the most interesting features of SMPlayer: it remembers the settings of all files you play. So you start to watch a movie but you have to leave... don't worry, when you open that movie again it will resume at the same point you left it, and with the same settings: audio track, subtitles, volume...

Major Features:

  1. Configurable subtitles. You can choose font and size, and even colors for the subtitles.
  2. Audio track switching. You can choose the audio track you want to listen. Works with avi and mkv. And of course with DVDs.
  3. Seeking by mouse wheel. You can use your mouse wheel to go forward or backward in the video.
  4. Video equalizer, allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and gamma of the video image.
  5. Multiple speed playback. You can play at 2X, 4X... and even in slow motion.
  6. Filters. Several filters are available: deinterlace, postprocessing, denoise... and even a karaoke filter (voice removal).
  7. Audio and subtitles delay adjustment. Allows you to sync audio and subtitles.
  8. Advanced options, such as selecting a demuxer or video & audio codecs.
  9. Playlist. Allows you to enqueue several files to be played one after each other. Autorepeat and shuffle supported too.
  10. Preferences dialog. You can easily configure every option of SMPlayer by using a nice preferences dialog.
  11. Possibility to search automatically for subtitles in opensubtitles.org.
  12. Translations: currently SMPlayer is translated into more than 20 languages, including Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese....
  13. It's multiplatform. Binaries available for Windows and Linux.
  14. SMPlayer is under the GPL license.

libGLI 0.4

libGLI 0.4

libGLI is a multi-platform library for creating 3D user interfaces, based on OpenGL. more>>
libGLI is a multi-platform library for creating 3D user interfaces, based on OpenGL.
With the help of this library, programmers can add in their own graphical application elements for the user interface and connect interface objects to their own programs with callbacks.
In other words, GLI sits between the user and an OpenGL application.
Using libgli
libGLI is built first of all to relieve the programmers who build graphic applications based on OpenGL and dont want spend half of the time for programming their own user interface. In particular, libGLI will be useful for small and average projects, where the majority of time is spent not on the user interface, but on the REAL purpose of the program. But thats not to say that libGLI is intended for small projects only. libGLI has sufficient features for building both simple and complex interfaces.
The main feature of libGLI is that it is a general interface, i.e. programmers can create interface objects of various form, color, size, etc.
libGLI is a multiplatform library written in C++. All objects are based on classes defined in the library. The programmer can inherit from these classes to build new objects.
Enhancements:
- Updated Files: INSTALL README TODO ChangeLog
- New Files: COPYING man-pages
- New GLUT Demo: EditBox
- editbox: Added Function GetText
- Demos: Moved to their own Project because of size

Luola 1.3.2

Luola 1.3.2

Luola is a 2D arcade game where you fly a small V shaped ship in different kinds of levels. more>>
Luola is a 2D arcade game where you fly a small V shaped ship in different kinds of levels. Luolas genre "Luolalentely" (Cave-flying) is (or was) very popular here in Finland. Though cavern-flying games are not originally Finnish, nowdays most of them are.
Luola is largely inspired by V-Wing, my favourite cave-flying game. While V-Wings graphics might not have been flashy, they were crisp and clear, and the playability and choice of weapons was superb. This is also my aim with Luola, not too much eye-candy, but solid playability.
Main features:
- 2-4 players
- Team play
- Ability to eject the pilot and walk around the level as a human
- Supports truecolor level artwork and over a dozen terrain types ranging from watercurrents to explosives
- Supports custom level palettes thus can load levels from practically any caveflying game such as V-Wing or Wings
- Level specials such as snowfall, critters, auto-turrets and jump-gates
- Supports keyboard and gamepad input
- Sound effects and background music thru SDL_mixer library
- Transparency and antialiasing effects thru SDL_gfx library
- Can use Truetype fonts thru SDL_ttf library
- Multiplatform: supports Linux and Windows

MUSCLE 3.34

MUSCLE 3.34

MUSCLE is a multiplatform, multilanguage, N-way client/server protocol library and server. more>>
MUSCLE is a somewhat scalable, robust, cross-platform client-server messaging system for dynamic distributed applications that runs under any POSIX-compliant operating system.
MUSCLE has been developed, used, and refined as the networking component of BeShare, CueStation, CueConsole, and various other audio control applications at Level Control Systems for over four years.
Main features:
- Use BMessage-like muscle::Messages under any operating system.
- Send flattened muscle::Messages from one computer to another over TCP streams, eliminating unnecessary compatibility and protocol-versioning hassles.
- Run a "muscled server" on a central machine, and write (or download) client programs to log in to the server and communicate through it. Once logged in, client programs can discover who else is logged in, send muscle::Messages to other clients, and store muscle::Messages in the servers RAM for other clients to download later. Clients can also "subscribe" to selected data on the server, and be automatically notified whenever it changes. Unicast-style, multicast-style, and broadcast-style Message routing are all supported via an intelligent hierarchical pattern-matching routing mechanism. Writing multiplayer games, IRC style chat applications, SETI style distributed calculation apps, or any other type of distributed software is made easy because MUSCLE handles all the dirty work for you!
- Customize the included "muscled server" by defining your own session logic or message-streaming protocol. (Note that this is only necessary for certain specialized applications--the standard server provides sufficient functionality for most things)
- Write your client code in C++, Java, or Python. Single-threaded and multi-threaded messaging APIs are provided for all three languages.
- Or just use the included message, string, dataIO, hashtable, dequeue, string-tokenizer, reference-count, regular expression and pattern matching parser, and object-pool code by themselves, as handy cross-platform utility classes. All source code is included, and you are free to use and abuse it any way you wish.
- See the Beginners Guide for a more detailed description of the system and its capabilites.
Enhancements:
- This release includes various minor bugfixes to the Java and C++ code, as well as a few minor optimizations.
