Xastir 1.9.1
Xastir ptoject can receive and plot APRS position packets. more>>
Xastir ptoject can receive and plot APRS position packets. Development is a collaborative effort of programmers from around the world. Xastir supports many map formats and is highly customizable. Check out the "Screen Shots" link to see just a few of the ways that Xastir can be used.
Xastir runs on Windows/MacOSX/Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris/Lindows, with many more possible. It supports 125 map formats, several types of TNCs and weather stations, Festival speech synthesizer, AX.25 networking (Soundmodem/Baycom/SCC!) and seven languages!. On Unix-like operating systems, you can run your weather station or GPS on a separate computer as well, which is good for those hams who are already short on serial ports.
Xastir is FREE! under the GPL license and comes with all source code.

3dfile 0.1.9.1
3dfile is an OpenGL-based file browser. more>>
3dfile is a simple file browser, using OpenGL to display files and folders.
The navigation is also very simple: just point-and-click.
You may also experiment your favorite moves on it and see if it responds. It may or it may not.
Anyway, I think 3dfile is very intuitive and easy to use. If you cant handle with it, please read the docs (like the README file) and, better, the sources.

McStas 1.9.1
McStas project is a general tool for simulating neutron scattering instruments. more>>
McStas project is a general tool for simulating neutron scattering instruments.
McStas is a computer program (written in C) that enables you to model very precisely a neutron instrument described as a series of various components.
A source component shoots each neutron randomly (Monte-Carlo), and the particle is then propagated through the different instrument components.
These later act on the neutron characteristics (position, speed, direction, spin, etc.).
Usually, one installs some detectors along the neutron path to monitor its characteristics and flux.
Enhancements:
- General
- Update release, mainly bugfixes plus a few other things
- Documentation
- Component manual slightly updated according to adding/modification of components.
- Tools
- mcgui: A few bugfixes.
- Components
- DiskChopper.comp - new disc chopper component. Chopper.comp made obsolete. See mcdoc page / component manual for further details.
- Guide.comp - reads reflectivity tables from disk.
- Isotropic_Sqw - minor bugfixes, validated against PowerN, V_sample, etc.
- PowderN - validated against Isotropix_Sqw, Squires, experimental data.

KTemperature 1.9-1
KTemperature is an application to monitor the system temperature. more>>
KTemperature is an application to monitor the system temperature. I was motivated to develop this utility because I could not find a simple system tray resident application for monitoring the system temperature using the ACPI interface.
The application obtains the system temperature from the file /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature .
I have been using Linux and Open Source for quite sometime and this is my first contribution. I hope this will lead to many more contributions from me.
Main features:
- Displays temperature in the system tray.
- Auto loading of ACPI thermal module if required and present.
- Detection of ACPI thermal interface if interface is present /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/*
- Right click options of Pause, Restart and Update for greater control of polling with ketboard shortcuts.
- Visually represents the temperature by increasing or decreasing the redness of the system tray icon with change in the temperature.
- The polling frequency can be changed from 1 second to 60 seconds.
- Configurable temperature monitoring interface. If the default monitoring point of /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature is not present the icon displays NA instead of the temperature. The monitoring point can be configured in such cases.
- Persistent configuration. The configuration parameters are stored in a file located at $HOME/.ktemperatue . The file is read at application startup and previously stored values are used. If the application is being run for the first time the default values will be used.
Enhancements:
- Created archive to include version information.
- Added keyboard shortcuts to right click menu options.
- Added caption to root password dialog.

EverCrack 1.1.0
EverCrack is a cryptanalysis engine. more>>
EverCrack project is a cryptanalysis engine. The overall design goal is to systematically break down complex ciphers into their simplex components for cryptanalysis (by the kernel).
The kernel consists of an algebraic design (comparison and reduction) for breaking uniliteral, monoalphabetic ciphers instantaneously.
Currently, it can break a 4000-word cipher in milliseconds. EverCrack currently has multi-language support for the user interface and cracking encryption in other language dictionaries (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Dutch, and Portuguese).
Enhancements:
- The dictionary set has been changed to lists of words by exact pattern.
- This reduces the search space completely and increases the speed by approximately 30%.
- Older dictionaries will not work with this release.

SQLIer 0.8.2b
SQLIer is a script that uses brute force to crack passwords through more>>
SQLIer is a script that uses brute force to crack passwords through "true/false" SQL injection vulnerabilities. With "true/false" SQL injection vulnerabilities, you cannot actually query data out of the database, only ask a statement that is returned "true" or "false".
SQLIer takes each characters ASCII code and asks a "higher/lower" question to the database, eventually reaching the actual character code. This script also does not use quotes in the exploit to operate, meaning it will work for a wider range of sites.
An 8 character password (containing any character from decimal ASCII code 1-127) takes approximately 1 minute to crack.
Enhancements:
- This release removes the dependency on the "tempfile" command, which apparently is Debian/Debian-derivative specific.
- It should now work on most GNU/Unix platforms.

Open-RJ 1.6.4
Open-RJ is an library that implements readers for the Record-Jar structured text file format. more>>
Open-RJ is an library that implements readers for the Record-Jar structured text file format. Mappings are provided to several languages and technologies, including C++, COM, D, Java, .NET, Python, Ruby, and STL.
In addition to platform-independence, the library focuses on small runtime costs - memory and speed - and the classic UNIX attributes of discoverability and visibility.
As described in the excellent book "The Art Of UNIX Programming", a Record-Jar structured format file consists of records and fields.
A field is a single line - optionally extended with trailing - that contains a name, separated from an optional value by :.
A record is a list of fields, whose contents are arbitrary and can vary between records in the same database. Records are separated by a line that begins with "%%". The record separator also acts as a comment, so anything can come on a record separator line after the first two characters.
A database is a correctly parsed Record-Jar file. The Open-RJ API (and language mappings) provide access to all the records in the database and the complete set of fields. Hence, you may work with fields on a per-record basis, or treat the database as a single record and with all fields in the database.
A very simple Record-Jar file, representing a Pets Database, is shown in the table on the right-hand side of this page.
And thats pretty much all there is to it. There are no restrictions on what fields may be in a record, and no controls over whether all records have the same fields or not. Thats the job of higher layers of application functionality. We keep Record-Jar simple so its reliable, portable and fast, and its those things in spades!
%% Pets

Enhancements:
- The code was updated to be fully compatible with STLSoft 1.9.1 (the special version released on Extended STL, volume 1: CD).

Mindless 1.0.0
Mindless is a mastermind-like game. more>>
csvdiff is a simple perl script to compare two (comma) seperated files with each other.
Mindless is an SDL-based puzzle game similar to the classic boardgame Mastermind.
The goal of the game is to crack a secret code consisting of four balls which can each be one of eight colors. The players takes turn guess (or do it simultaneously) and the first one to guess his/her code has won.
If both players takes the same number of turns to get the code correct then both has won.
For your help when guess you will for each (incorrect) answer see a combination of one or more black tokens and one or more white tokens on the right side of your last answer.
Each black token means that one of your balls is both of the correct color and location, but you dont know which one, and each white token means that one of your balls is of the correct color but wrong location.
You can play human vs. human, human vs. computer, or computer vs. computer.
Currently each player can either be controlled by a human player, a human with some computer assistance or by the computer. For computer controlled players there exists three different difficulty settings: "Automata", which is the simplest, "Computer" which is the default and "AI" which is the hardest.
Note that the AI setting uses quite a lot CPU cycles and it runs very slowly with more than 8 colors.
Enhancements:
- New gui elements, alternative AIs and "cyborg" mode.

irclogger 1.14
irclogger is a simple bot, a program connecting as a client on IRC servers. more>>
irclogger is a simple "bot", a program connecting as a client on IRC servers to provide a web log of what is said. It is built to provide a simple and web-compliant service.
Irclogger was done to:
- Be used on intranets, where users can be trusted and will not try constantly to crack the system. Thus the bot do not need to provide the plethora of anti-hackers, channel defending measures
- Provide privacy, users can set passwords on the log files, change them, but cannot remove them
- Be another web tool, the bot obey just the minimal IRC commands to log or not a channel. All the rest is done via a web browser. Each logged phrase becomes a part of the web with its own URL.
I could not find a bot satisfying these criteria. All were huge monsters with bloated functionalities of dubious utility, many were disgusting amounts of ugly perl code.
I stumbled on a nice unfinished python bot "logger" by Sean B. Palmer and Dan Connolly, so I used it as a base for irclogger, and added html view of the logs.
irclogger consists of 2 parts:
- irclogger, a python IRC client writing text logs in the MIRC format.
- CGI shell scripts, (bash) to be used from a web server to format the logs into html and provide searching in them.
Enhancements:
- Bugfix for python 2.3:
- Crashed when somebody said in a channel: [LOGGER], off the format of args passed to the function had changed
- Crashed when no more channels were logged
- Would not remove a channel from the list of logged chans for next time when kicked out of it

Blue Frog 1.9.1.1151
Blue Frog allows you to actively demand spammers to stop sending you spam. more>>
Blue Frog allows you to actively demand spammers to stop sending you spam. Blue Frog automatically and securely posts complaints and opt-out requests at spam sites asking spammers to remove Blue Community members from their mailing lists.
The Do Not Intrude Registry creates an incentive for spammers to stop sending unsolicited e-mail to members of the Blue Community.
Consumers and businesses may register their e-mail addresses or their entire e-mail domains, and receive less spam simply because spammers would remove them from their mailing lists.
Consumers and businesses alike can join the service, free of charge, by becoming active members of the Blue community. As an active member of the community, you download the Blue Frog client and actively complain and request to opt-out of spam. The Do Not Intrude Registry empowers you to exercise your right to opt out of spam safely and automatically.
Businesses may also subscribe with the Do Not Intrude Registry without being active members of the community. This paid subscription service allows you to register your e-mail domain in the Registry and receive less spam without installing software in your network.
The Blue Frog is a simple and straightforward solution to spam:
1. Users join the Blue Community
Blue Community members add their e-mail addresses or e-mail domains to the Registry. Active members install Blue Frog on their machines.
2. Spammers use mailing lists
Spammers are required to stop sending spam to all Blue Community members. Non-complying spammers maintain mailing lists that may contain addresses of Blue Community members.
3. Members receive spam
When a spammer sends bulk e-mail using his lists, some Blue Community members may receive this spam message to their mailboxes.
4. Members report their spam
Our experts identify the merchants using spam to advertise their sites and prepare scripts instructing Blue Frog how to post complaints. Additionally, Reports are sent to government agencies and ISPs asking them to take action against these sites.
5. Members complain about spam
Blue Frog clients, installed on active Community Members machines, automatically post complaints at spam sites by filling forms they contain. Posting complaints is safe and does not expose your identity.
6. Merchants process complaints
A single opt-out complaint is posted per each spam message received. Merchants process complaints posted by active community Members rather than process potential customers purchase orders.
7. Spammers comply with the Registry
Spammers and merchants choose to stop sending spam to the all Blue community members. It allows them to avoid receiving complaints and to stop sending spam to people who will never buy their products.
8. Members stop receiving spam
Blue Community members will no longer receive spam simply because spammers will stop sending it to them!
Enhancements:
- Linux compilation fixes
- Documentation changes
