MP-MPICH 1.4.0
MP-MPICH provides a Multi-platform MPI implementation. more>>
MP-MPICH provides a Multi-platform MPI implementation.
MP-MICH is a Multi-platform uniform MPI implementation, based on MPICH and SCI-MPICH, resulting in a high performance, consistent MPI across both ethernet and SCI networks in a hybrid environment. There is a single, standardized source tree for all platforms. It is compliant with the MPI-1 standard.
MP-MPICH uses one common source tree for this purpose. It has a new device for Windows NT/2000/2003 to communicate via sockets, and an adapted shared memory device for SMP systems. Additionally, MP-MPICH is a superset of SCI-MPICH, that means that it includes another new device to support direct communication via a fast SCI interconnect. With SCI-MPICH, inter-process message latencies for small messages (for processes running on separate nodes) below 4 us are achieved, and the current measured maximum inter-node (PingPong-)bandwidth is at about 310 MB/s.
In fact, the development of MP-MPICH started when the first release of SCI-MPICH was finished. This release was designed for Solaris and Linux, but since it uses our SMI library which is also available for Windows NT, we thought it would be fun to port SCI-MPICH to NT. The initial port took only 4 hours and we were up and running with SCI-MPICH for NT. The additional/modified devices which are necessary to use MPICH on NT without these extremely fast SCI boards required more time to develop.

Math::GMPz 0.21
Math::GMPz is a Perl interface to the GMP librarys integer (mpz) functions. more>>
Math::GMPz is a Perl interface to the GMP librarys integer (mpz) functions.
A bignum module utilising the Gnu MP (GMP) library. Basically this module simply wraps nearly all of the integer functions provided by that library. The documentation below extensively plagiarises the documentation at http://swox.com/gmp/manual.
See the Math::GMPz test suite for examples of usage.
SYNOPSIS

Games::Go::Dg2Mp 4.026
Games::Go::Dg2Mp is a Perl extension to convert Games::Go::Diagrams to John Hobbys MetaPost. more>>
Games::Go::Dg2Mp is a Perl extension to convert Games::Go::Diagrams to John Hobbys MetaPost (which is adapted from Donald Knuths Metafont).
SYNOPSIS
use Games::Go::Dg2Mp
my $dg2mp = B convertDiagram($diagram);
A Games::Go::Dg2Mp object converts a Games::Go::Diagram object into a TeX (.tex) and a MetaPost (.mp) file. The MetaPost file contains figures for each of the diagrams and overstones required to make the complete game diagram.
Running MetaPost (mpost or possibly mp) on the .mp file creates a set of figure files, each of which is an Encapsulated PostScript figure. Running TeX (tex) on the .tex file creates a .dvi file which tries to include the Encapsulated PostScript figures. Running dvips on the .dvi file (from TeX) creates the final PostScript (.ps) file containing the complete game diagram.
See man mpost (or possibly man mp) for more details of the overall MetaPost system and environment.

AnyData::Format::Mp3 0.10
AnyData::Format::Mp3 is a tied hash and DBI access to Mp3 files. more>>
AnyData::Format::Mp3 is a tied hash and DBI access to Mp3 files.
SYNOPSIS
use AnyData;
my $playlist = adTie( Passwd, [c:/My Music/] );
while (my $song = each %$playlist){
print $song->{artist} if $song->{genre} eq Reggae
}
OR
use DBI
my $dbh = DBI->connect(dbi:AnyData:);
$dbh->func(playlist,Mp3,[c:/My Music],ad_catalog);
my $playlist = $dbh->selectall_arrayref( qq{
SELECT artist, title FROM playlist WHERE genre = Reggae
});
# ... other DBI/SQL operations
This module provides a tied hash interface and a DBI/SQL interface to MP files. It creates an in-memory database or hash from the Mp3 files themselves without actually creating a separate database file. This means that the database is automatically updated just by moving files in or out of the directories.
Many mp3 (mpeg three) music files contain a header describing the song name, artist, and other information about the music.
Simply choose Mp3 as the format and give a reference to an array of directories containing mp3 files. Each file in those directories will become a record containing the fields:
song
artist
album
year
genre
filename
filesize
This module is a submodule of the AnyData.pm and DBD::AnyData.pm modules. Refer to their documentation for further details.

POE::Component::Player::Mpg123 1.2
POE::Component::Player::Mpg123 is a Perl wrapper for the mpg123 player. more>>
SYNOPSIS
use POE qw(Component::Player::Mpg123);
$mp = POE::Component::Player::Mpg123->new();
$mp->play("/tmp/test.mp3");
POE::Kernel->run();
This component is used to manipulate the mpg123 player from within a POE application. The less common but open-source mpg321 has also been tested.
METHODS
An object oriented interface is provided as follows:
new [hash[-ref]]
Used to initialise the system and create a module instance. The optional hash (or hash reference) may contain any of the following keys:
alias
Indicates the name of a session to which events will be posted. Default: main.
dev
Specifies device to play to. Default: /dev/dsp.
xargs
Allows for passing extra arguments to the underlying application.
< event-name >
Any event fired by this module can be mapped to a name of choice. This is useful for differentiating this components events from some other components e.g. done = "mpg123_done"> will cause the component to fire an mpg123_done event at the main session, instead of the usual done. For a comprehensive listing of events fired, please refer to the EVENTS section below.
start
This method starts the player. While it should not be necessary to ever call this method directly since the new() method calls it automatically, this method allows for restarting the player in such instances as when it dies.
play < path >
This method requires a single parameter specifying the full path name of an mp3 file to play.
stop pause resume
None of these methods take any parameters and will do exactly as thier name implies. Please note that pause/resume are semaphored i.e. issuing a pause whilst the system is already paused will do exactly diddley.
vol < integer >
This method requires a valid integer between 0 and 100 to indicate the volume level. Please note that volume support is not available on all versions of the mpg123 player. Consult your versions documentation to verify whether this will work.
seek < to >
This method fast-forwards or rewinds or jumps the metaphoric playhead to a specified location. The to argument passed should adhere to the regex [+-]d+[%]. If the number provided is preceeded by a + or a - then the number is treated as a relative offset where positive indicates forwards and negative backwards. If no sign is passed, the number is treated as an absolute offset. Additionally, if the number is followed by a percent sign, it is treated as a percentage and should be between 0 and 100, else it is treated as a frame number.
Please note that passing out-of-bounds values will not generate an error but will be silently adjusted as necessary.
stat
This method has been kept from sungos original package... though I dont know what its supposed to do. In my version of mpg123 it generates an error @E Unknown command STAT.
xcmd < string >
This method allows for the sending of arbitrary commands to the player e.g. equalize such that as the underlying player offers new features, these can be utilised without having to modify the component.
quit
This method causes the mp3 player to shut down.

GMap 0.0.4 Alpha
GMap is a Map editor for GPS maps that runs on linux. more>>
GMap is a Map editor for GPS maps that runs on linux. This project is a work in progress. GMap reads various formats and writes .mp polish map format files suitable for compiling using the cgpsmapper compiler.
I also have some notes relating to the use of GPS tools on Linux and the use of cGPSmapper on Linux and M$-Windows.
Currently the development is at an alpha stage. However it is starting to provide some basic funtionality so there is a copy here for anyone that wants to play.
Note that this is the only doc there is at the moment, it is incomplete and may also be slightly out of sync with the uploaded executable.
Main features:
- Display tracks and area (POLYLINE/POLYGON) features.
- Some POI support
- Editing of track and area features.
- Limited UNDO, currently should handle add, delete and move points. Split tracks. Convert a track to an area feature. Dont rely on it. Save often.
- Read and write data data to Polish format map data files. These are suitable for feeding to the cGPSmapper map compiler.
- Read tracks and waypoints from ".gpx" files (from gpsbabel or mapsource uploads)
- Read Tracks and points from google earth ".kml" files (not .kmz)
- Saves to named file or first input file. Original input is renamed to oldname;version (eg gmap fred.mp -> save renames to fred.mp;1 etc)
- Holds 2 sets of map data, one as a reference which is not written out. You can merge as many files as you like on read.
- Some handling of things with holes.
- Map warping. Allows you to warp one set of map data so it aligns correctly with another set of data. Example being to fix data estimated from images or maps against correct ground tracks.
- Knows something about the world being curved.
- Can read tracks, waypoints and current position from my garmin GPSMap 60CSx and a ForeRunner301
