Free mouse software for linux

joyevmouse converts joystick events to mouse events, making it possible to use a joystick as a mouse. joyevmouse uses the rather nice evdev and uinput infrastructure of the linux kernel.

This means that joyevmouse runs entirely in userspace - it does not run as a kernel driver or need a patch joyevmouse has been written rather quickly and is only tested on one device. So it may have some rough edges.

This project is released under the GNU General Public License.

Pymousetrap provides access to a C-implemented shared library that efficiently stores information about a 2-dimensional grid (a mousetrap).

The mousetrap is integer resolution, and supports works very similarly to graphics libraries; mousetraps can be blitted onto each other, with transparency.

Pymousetraps code was written with the intent to simplify the way mouse click events were handled, but probably has other uses.

Razer DeathAdder mouse configuration is a configuration utility for the Razer DeathAdder on Linux systems.
You can control the LEDs, scanning resolution and frequency and profiles with this tool. In future things like firmware upload are also planned.
Enhancements:
- This adds support for the Razer Krait mouse.

Monkey is a two player game (monkey and hunter):

Monkey must jump a climb on ropes so long, as he can. Hunter must aim his two guns (two black dots) to monkey and kill him.

Monkey takes damage, if he is aimed.

Controls: monkey (movement: mouse, jump: LMB), hunter (first gun: WSAD, second gun: arrows).

MicroPics is a small Gnome applet that display miniature photos on your Gnome Panel. When the mouse runs over it, Micropics enlarges the image.

Installation:

Execute, as root:

# python setup.py install

should do it.

Now, restart Gnome, and add to the panel Micropics (under Multimedia).

Smooth Icons is a mouse cursor theme.
This is my first upload for awhile so here we go. Its not going to be ready to package yet for quite awhile this is only a days work.

XMMS Weasel is a general plugin for XMMS. XMMS Weasel automatically slides out XMMS from the screen if the mouse pointer leaves the XMMS window.

As soon as the mouse pointer hits the screen edge, XMMS will slide back in.

lomoco is a fork of lmctl, since we were not able to get in contact with the lmctl developer.
lomoco can configure vendor-specific options on Logitech USB mice (or dual-personality mice plugged into the USB port). A number of recent devices are supported.
The program is mostly useful in setting the resolution to 800 cpi or higher on mice that boot at 400 cpi (such as the MX500, MX510, MX1000 etc.), and disabling SmartScroll or Cruise Control for those who would rather use the two extra buttons as ordinary mouse buttons.

We need the name of the mouse and the model name too. You can find on the hardware, look for M/N: ...
If it is a cordless mouse, we need the model name from both the mouse and the receiver! What kind of receiver is it (bluetooth)?
