Blended provides a simple theme designed to blend in with the menu bar to create a smooth appearance.
The theme was designed with the Clearlooks GTK2 theme in mind, but works well with other themes that have plain menu bars.
Inculdes 4 theme variations:
- Blended ( Top corners rounded)
- BlendedDoubleRound (Top and bottom corners rounded)
- BlendedSmall (Smaller window butons)
- BlendedSmallDoubleRound
NOTE:
If you want all 4 variations make sure they are all coppied to your themes folder as at least for me installing through theme preferences only installs the last theme.
Enhancements:
- Looks much better with darker GTK themes
- Windows have a slightly beveled appearance
- Title padding reduced on regular button size themes
- focused text no longer etched
- other minor changes

HighMoon 1.2.4

HighMoon 1.2.4

HighMoon is a game similar to Artillery or Worms but it takes place in the universe. more>>
HighMoon is a game similar to "Artillery" or "Worms" -- but it takes place in the universe. There is a planet system between two flying saucers. The gravitational fields of the planets and moons change inevitably each ballistic curve.
In HighMoon is not easy to eliminate an enemy. If you miss it, the shoots can change their direction and become dangerous to the attacker.
HighMoon can be played against a computer or a human opponent in many planet systems.
HighMoon was first release with Version 1.0 in January 2005. My hardware was an AthlonXP 1700+ on a Gigabyte 7DXR+ Mainboard with 512MB DDRam, a Radeon 7500/AGP 4x Videocard and painfull onboard Sounds of a lalala 1371...
HighMoon was coded with a GNU g++ 3.4.3 running on Gentoo Linux with a vanilla-Kernel 2.6.11.5 The Sources were edited with (g)Vim 6.3 and jEdit 4.2 (nice Editor!) both available for Linux, Windows and Mac. Later Versions werde edited using Eclipse 3.0.1 width CDT 2.1. I used the SDL-Library as Graphics- und Soundinterface. This library is available for Linux, Windows and Mac as well.
The Flying Saucers and the planets were rendered using 3DStudio MAX 5 running on Windows XP. I Used Gimp 2.0 und Photoshop CS to draw the Font and the other graphics.
Installation:
HighMoon uses the SDL-Library (including SDL-Image!) for Display, Sound and Keyboard functions. For compilation of the sourcecodes you need a GNU g++.
There is a Makefile, so you can compile with a simple
make
in the sources-directory. After successfull compilation the Executable is called "ufo".
./ufo
starts the game.
If you would like to install the Game, edit the Install Paths in the Makefile. Then type:
make install
Enhancements:
- This release adds Netherlands language support.

TkPanel 1.6

TkPanel is a CDE-like panel emulator written in Tcl/Tk. more>>
TkPanel is a panel application, greatly inspired by the CDE panel, with some other features; it is basically used to call other programs, that can be configured by the user. Thus, with TkPanel, the programs which are more often executed can be easily called.
TkPanel is able to lock the computer, and can run arbitrary command on the fly. It can show basic information about the computer resources (CPU and memory usage), display the time in various formats, and has a simple schedule. There is a graphical tool to config, change all its variables, add/remove buttons and sub-panels.
The user can also use TkPanel to change the page when running at some specifics Window Managers, place it at any edge of the screen (thus, really fans of TkPanel can have a few programs running at the same time!), align it at the corners, turn it into a hidden mode, and select what tools to display as buttons (choosing its place). All its functions are available through some keystrokes.
TkPanel is written on a Linux system with Tcl/Tk scripts; first to allow easy modifications being applied; second, to be executed on systems where Tcl/Tk is available.
Enhancements:
- (schedule) can select a date when clicking at the calendar
- removed an extra newline that is printed each time get_sch is called
- fixed schedule to print messages without date;
- read in config window will update the colors too...;
- changed some panel appearances on the man page to control-panel;

f2w helpdesk 1.6

f2w helpdesk 1.6

f2w helpdesk is helpdesk and knowledge base using a Zope front-end and PostgreSQL back-end. more>>
f2w helpdesk its a helpdesk support system based on requests (some people call them tickets), with a simple web interface. Requests can be classified into categories and assigned a priority.
Categories are associated with specific well-defined problem areas, and f2w helpdesk provides a way to maintain an expert knowledge base of problems and solutions based on request categories.
This is not the place to look for a system that will help you track every minute of your support technicians time. The emphasis is on quickly identifying problems, assigning them to the best person for the job, and helping that person keep track of what needs to be done.
Main features:
- Zope front-end (for rapid development, easy maintenance)
- Your choice of relational DB back-end (whatever Zope supports).
- Semi-intelligent search of contacts from a partial name.
- Expert-system-like question/answer to categorise requests.
- Flexible priority scheme.
- Assignment of requests to individuals or teams.
- E-mail notification sent to person to whom request is assigned.
- Keep working notes on each request, can delete empty notes now.
- Maintain knowledge base about each kind of problem.
- Attach properties (named general-purpose data fields) to categories, so fields for entering them will appear on requests of that category. These can now be checkboxes or selection lists as well as plain text fields.
- Reporting by category, assignee, team, originator, property etc.
- E-mail notification to originator of request.
- User preference for stylesheet.
- User can set an "away until" date, so an operator assigning the requests can know who is available.
- Limited localisation of strings (using a folder of translations for each language - "de", "en", "es", "fr", "hu", "it" and "pl" written so far)
- Request search by various criteria.
- Extract of requests in CSV format, for spreadsheet use.
- Restricted access for non-team members.

ToscanaJ 1.6

ToscanaJ 1.6

ToscanaJ is a Java reimplementation of the classic Formal Concept Analysis frontend Toscana. more>>
ToscanaJ is a Java reimplementation of the classic Formal Concept Analysis frontend Toscana. It was built using software development techniques like MVC architecture and XML based files to provide more flexibilty for implementation of new features.

Since ToscanaJ is a pure viewer/browser for conceptual schemas and optimized for a non-technical audience, it comes with additional tools for creating the data displayed and to offer additional, more technical analysis capabilities. The four main tools are:

ToscanaJ

The viewer/browser component

Elba

An editor for conceptual schemas on relational databases. Database-aware and offering extra tools like exporting SQL scripts.

Siena

In many ways similar to Elba (mostly thanks to shared code), Siena edits conceptual schemas that store their data in memory.

Lucca

An experimental editor that is supposed to make use out of implication analysis of SQL clauses to allow very explorative and intuitive creation of database-connected systems.

With the 1.0 release ToscanaJ and Elba have reached a feature set that allows using them in concrete applications. This is a very important milestone for the project, since we expect to get a user base and thereby a lot of feedback about our work. If you use ToscanaJ and its editors, please feel free to mail any comment to the developer mailing list, we are always happy to hear about your experiences -- good or bad.

Siena and Lucca are not as advanced, although Siena is already used in some research environments. We expect Siena to be an official part of the releases quite soon, while Lucca is very experimental and might never be an official product.

Please note that DSTC can offer you professional services and aimed development around the project and that both universities maintain research activities in this area. If you are looking for support in your commercial or research activities, please feel free to ask the developer mailing list, we will be happy to give you advice how your ideas fit into the project.

Ogrian Carpet 0.9

Ogrian Carpet 0.9

Ogrian Carpet is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game. more>>
Ogrian Carpet project is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game.
Ogrian Carpet is an outdoor first person shooter game with real time strategy elements, inspired by the game Magic Carpet.
It uses Ogre3D as the renderer and allows you to fly around an island casting spells, summoning monsters, collecting mana, and building castles.
The object of the game is to build a castle, collect mana, and destroy your enemies. To build a castle, select a location, look at the ground, and cast the build spell. Note, you cannot build castles very close to water or other castles.
Your castle starts out small, with only one turret. As more mana is added to your castle, it will gain more turrets. Each turret adds another crane to your castles defense and another spell to your arsenal.
Basically, the game consists of fighting for control of mana. Whenever you encounter another wizard, shoot them with fireballs. If you hit them enough, they will "die" and be sent back to their castle. You are then free to claim all the mana in the area for yourself.
Once all the mana has been claimed, attack your enemys castle to get mana out of it so you can claim it for yourself. Once you enemys castle is out of mana, you can eliminate it by killing its heart. When all of your opponents have been banished, youve won.
Enhancements:
- AI bot player for skirmish
- things can now be loaded from an image, rather then randomly
- option for old randomized maps
- trees can now always bee seen
- made castle mana drops aggregate more
- loosened the restrictions on summoning
- made the config menu better
- added victory conditions to skirmish: kill all enemy towers/castles
- made ticks and gnomes stay in the formation you put them in
- made monsters and towers drop less then their cost when they have no wizard
- made mana float higher
- made towers cheaper (50)
- made sentinels drop much less (3)
- changed speed behavior on lava maps
- added victory music
- new music

IDND 1.4

IDND 1.4

IDND is a Firefox extension that puts a little flag in the status bar that tells you whether you are visiting a TDN or a IDN. more>>
IDND is a Firefox extension that puts a little flag in the status bar that tells you whether you are visiting a Traditional Domain Name (green TDN) or an International Domain Name (UN-blue IDN).

IDNs can be used for phishing or spoofing, so suspicious IDNs cause an optional alert box to appear further warning you to take care. This is in no way sufficient protection against all kinds of spoofing, but does add to your browsers defences.

In the status bar a green or blue flag shows whether the current page has a traditional (A-Z 0-9 -) or an international domain name. In this way you have more protection against homograph attacks.
