MMS Downloader provides a GUI to handle and save MMS streams to disk.

mms-qt lets you save MMS streams (mms://) to your disk as files. It is based on mms_client.

There is a program on the Israeli TV which i like to watch, and recently ive found out that there is an official web site hosting video parts shown previously on TV, but they were all in mms format.

Not too long after, ive found the outstanding work major mms did. Major mms wrote both a plugin for xine to watch these streams, and a command line downloader. My little idea was to take his command line downloader and wrap it with a QT GUI. So i did it.

So assuming youve found an MMS stream youd like to store on your Hard Drive, all you have to do is download it and, to use it, simply type

$ mms-qt mms://...

When the stream is done, the "Done" button will be enabled. Pressing "Cancel" in the middle will stop the download but will still save the partial file.

Thats it, simple as that.

MMS Decoder provides a script for sending MMS messages to a Web page.
MMS Decoder can receive MMS messages, decode them, and display them on a Web page. This is done by acting as an MMSC, which is a server to which MMS messages are sent.
The only requirement to get this to work is an internet connected webserver, with PHP support and a phone which can send MMS (some operators may have blocked all MMS servers except their own, and the application will not work with these).
When an MMS is sent, its usually sent to the operators MMSC, which notifies the reciever (by a binary encoded SMS) that she or he has an MMS to retrieve, then his or her phone connects to the MMSC server and fetches the MMS which has been made available on the server via HTTP. What my web application actually do is to pretend to be an MMSC, recieves the MMS, decodes it (its encoded as specified in the WAP-209-MMSEncapsulation-20020105-a and wap-230-wsp-20010705-a specifications) and then stores it.
The only thing you need to do to make this work on your phone, is to set the phones MMSC (may also be labeled Service Center, MMS Center, or MMS Server) to http://domain.com/mms/get.php, or something like that, and then start sending MMS messages. And best of all, it will not cost you like 20 cents which the phone operators charge, the only cost is what your operator charge for WAP access (usually a lot less than the MMS cost), since the MMS is sent over WAP.
MMS Decoder was first written as a school project, and therefore Ive written a very detailed report of the decoding mechanism. This is, how ever, written in swedish so it would not be useful to anyone who doesnt know swedish. You can grab the report here.

cg is a semi-automatic newsgroup binary downloader. It assembles parts based on subject headers and then offers them in an editor for the user to choose which files he really wants.

Start it with cg somenewsgroup; `cg -h offers a short help, should you need it.

Downloader for X is a tool for downloading files from the Internet via both HTTP and FTP with a powerful but userfriendly interface.

Persistent connections over HTTP are supported automaticaly but persistent connections over FTP can be turned on by user (Do not send QUIT command option of FTP settings).
- Ability to limit download speed of separate file as well as for the whole program allows modem user browse through the Web and download files at the same time.
- Built-in Scheduller, URL-manager and Automatically adding allow advaced user to simplify managing downloads by various criterias.

PHP Uploader Downloader provides a script which allow your users to upload files to a selected directory.
Allow your users to upload files to a selected directory. This script also creates a list of all files uploaded so they can be downloaded. Current features for uploading are size limitation, extension limitation, and stopping file overwriting.
Installation
$extlimit If you want to limit the extions of files uploaded set this to yes
$limitedext If you set $extlimit to yes then add edit extensions. Just do ,".ext" in the array to add extion.
$sizelimit If you want a size limit set this to yes.
$sizebytes If you want have size limit set to yes set this to the number of bytes you want the limit to be.
$dl This is the url to where files are uploaded

Youtube Downloader GUI project is a GUI for the famous python script youtube-dl. It is made in Kommander, so you need it. The project is packed in rpm with icon, desktop file.

Gnome BitTorrent Downloader is not meant to be an entire front-end, just a program that pops up when you "execute" the torrent files.

Since BitTorrent is written in Python, I figured Id write this program in Python too; saves a lot of trouble as I already knew Python relatively well.

XMMPlayer is an input plugin for XMMS that allows you to play video files from within XMMS using MPlayer as a back-end. Easy, plain and simple. Just add the files you wish to play to the XMMS playlist and hit "play".
XMMPlayer currently detects AVI/MPEG, QuickTime, RealMedia, .BIN and ASF(WMV, WMA) files by identifying them using file-signatures ("magic"). OGG movies are detected by their extension (".OGM").
Please remember that is product is still in beta-stage and may not work on all systems and with all video files MPlayer supports. See the README section below for more info.
