Greenlines provides a login manager theme.
Greenlines is a set of lines drawn with SVG, and a minimalistic login manager in the upper right corner.
Some of the code is based upon Pirates of Gnome, I may fix up the code later on, because some of it is not that well thought through. Suggestions are welcome.

MiniCppUnit 2.5
MiniCppUnit is another C++ port of the famous JUnit framework for unit testing. more>>
MiniCppUnit is another C++ port of the famous JUnit framework for unit testing. Unlike CppUnit, MiniCppUnit follows a minimalistic aproach: The basic features are the same but in only bout 500 lines of code! No library instalation is needed, etc.
This C++ framework takes advantadge of OO C++ techiques and the standard library. The TestFixtures (test classes) definition is done through C macros, ala CppUnit.
MiniCppUnit project was originated as a tool for undergrade computer students, they wrote their tests using this framework, as well as a code example of a number of GoF Design Patterns (singleton, command, factory, composite).
Enhancements:
- The test case now exits after the first failure.
- Reliable floating point (double/float) assertions were added, including: fuzzy equals using proportional (to the expected) epsilon, not-a-number reliability, and a new macro ASSERT_EQUALS_EPSILON to use a different proportional epsilon.
- VisualC++ support and examples were added.
- More colors on the console output can be disabled.
- Colors are disabled by default when compiled in MS Visual.
- Catalan output strings and in-code comments were removed.
- UsageExample.cxx now uses all macros and features.

Qmail virus scanner 1.4
The Qmail virus scanner (QScan) is a mail filter for Qmail that scans incoming messages using the Sophos Antivirus engine. more>>
The Qmail virus scanner (QScan) is a mail filter for Qmail that scans incoming messages using the Sophos Antivirus engine, immediately rejecting infected content.
It is designed to be minimalistic, yet extremely fast and secure, and uses multiple pipes instead of the traditional temporary files and privilege separation. It works with non-native versions of the virus scanner like under OpenBSD with Linux or FreeBSD emulation.
You must create a temporary directory to extract MIME attachments, and replace Qmails original qmail-queue program with Qscan. Quick way to achieve this for the impatients :
mkdir /var/qmail/qscan
chmod 700 /var/qmail/qscan
chown qmaild:qmail /var/qmail/qscan
ln /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue-old
Now, lets compile and install Qscan :
./configure --help
./configure [your beloved flags]
make install-strip
The last step is to replace the original qmail-queue program with our filter :
rm /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue
ln -s /usr/local/sbin/qscan /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue
Depending on your local configuration, it may be needed or not, but start with doing it :
chown qmaild:qmail /usr/local/sbin/qscan
chmod 6711 /usr/local/sbin/qscan
After testing, if everythings ok for you, remove the setuid bit :
chown 0:0 /usr/local/sbin/qscan
chmod 711 /usr/local/sbin/qscan

Coindesigner is a RAD (rapid application development) system to build 3D applications using Coin3D openInventor.
Coindesigner allows to write simple 3D scenarios just using drag&drop, so users require no programming acknoledges at all to use it.
Coindesigner is a system equivalent to glade or qt-designer, where we can choose components from the openInventor toolkit, add them somewhere in our scene and configure them in a very easy way... and all changes are applied to the scene on the fly!
Main features:
- Reads and write scenes in native openInventor file format
- Can import geometry from VRML, 3ds, DXF, OFF (from geomview), SMF, sphere trees .SPH and XYZ point clouds file formats.
- Can export geometry to file formats VRML2, SMF, OBJ, STL, OFF y XYZ.
- It allows to visualize volumetric data (such as medical CT) if SIM Voleon is available in your system.
- Makes some basic geometrical operations, as mesh reduction (with QSLIM) and convex hull computation.
- It includes cdsview, an minimalistic external viewer that allows you to view and distribute scenes without need of coindesigner.
- Provides helpers to define colors (with QColorDialog), file paths (with QFileDialog), menus for enumerated types and much more...
- Allows to use manips to configure Lights and Transform nodes. Just use the right mouse button to interchange between those nodes and their manip!
- GUI has been translated to English, Spanish and Portuguese
- Includes the complete coin reference and several tutorials directly brownsables from the application.
- Its as multiplatform as coin3d and Qt are. It works under Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
- Its open source released under GPL license.

BSFlite 0.82
BSFlite is a minimalistic, line-based AIM client for Unix. more>>
BSFlite is a minimalistic, line-based AIM client for Unix.
Instead of having a full screen console interface, BSFlite employs a command line interface that allows your fingers to do all of the work without needlessly sifting through windows.
BSFlite runs on UNIX (including Linux, all of the BSDs, Solaris, etc.), Zeta (and possibly BeOS), Windows, DOS, Mac OS X, and Plan 9.
Well, minimalistic doesnt necessarily mean sparse. Lets call it, say, nimble. BSFlite supports most standard AIM features, with the notable exceptions of chat rooms and block lists.
For casual day-to-day chat, its perfect, if for nothing else than one important feature: once your fingers learn the commands, it doesnt matter if your brain remembers them or not. Youll be amazed at how efficiently you can juggle conversations with BSFlite. Seriously.
Main features:
- Runs on just about any UNIX machine of any speed
- Uses very few resources, even compared to other console clients
- Very portable codebase with BSD-licensed AIM library for use in your own projects
- Windows port with tiny binary size - put it on a floppy or USB stick and load it up when you need AIM at an Internet cafe or public terminal
- Works great with screen, so you can leave your AIM session logged in when youre not physically at your terminal
- Not affiliated with America Online in any way
Enhancements:
- Several memory leaks and bugs were fixed.
- Better color support and the ability to reconnect were added.
- A man page is now available.

FIAIF 1.21.0
FIAIF is an Intelligent Firewall. more>>
FIAIF is an Intelligent Firewall.
Unlike many other scripts, FIAIF can be truly customized allowing multiple interfaces (or rather zones). There is no limit on the number of zones. All configuration is done through configuration files. There is no need to understand the script behind it all.
The script makes heavy use of state-full firewalling, and all RELATED and ESTABLISHED packets are accepted on all chains. If you wish to block something out, dont accept it in the first place.
The script is written in BASH. Though this is not the optimal programming language to use, it means that you do not need to install extra interpreters on your firewall. This allows you to have a minimalistic installation on your firewall.
Main features:
- TOS bit can be set per protocol/port basis. (To be used by traffic shaping).
- Limit syslog logging.
- Specification of multiple zones - One or more per interface.
- Load specific connection tracking modules (FTP, IRC etc.).
- Examination of /proc/sys/net setting, for possibly dangerous system configurations.
- Setup of linux runtime parameters.
- Run userdefined commands before and after applying the firewall.
- Syslog scanning, giving more human readable output based on setup.
Zones support:
- Handling of dynamic IPs (DHCP).
- Interfaces with multiple IP addresses.
- Allow/drop and/or reject packets hitting the firewall from the zone.
- Restrict the type of packets originating from the firewall itself.
- Restrict packets coming from other zones.
- Ban IPs within the zone.
- Ban MAC addresses within the zone.
- Watch traffic from a specific IP.
- Limit number of specific packets, e.g. to avoid DoS attack.
- Port forwarding, changing the destination IP and port, allowing e.g. a transparent proxy.
- Masquerading/SNAT.
- Traffic Shaping per interface.
- Ulogd logging support.
- Packet marking, for e.g. advanced routing.
- Definition of IP aliases, to ease maintenance and improve readability of configuration files.

Symlinker 0.0.2
Symlinker is a minimalistic file manager that is built to primarily operate with symlinks. more>>
Symlinker is a minimalistic file manager that is built to primarily operate with symlinks. The project is written in PHP.
Why would I use it?
There are many PHP hosting providers nowadays. Unfortunately most of them only provides you FTP to upload your files to their servers which imposes several restrictions on you.
You probably use a content management systems (CMS) on your site and you may want to make multiply installations of the same CMS. Such an installation traditionally involves duplicating the complete directory structure of your CMS, but that may take much disk space and its painful to upgrade the individual installations this way. There is a much better way.
You can solve this problem by placing the directory structure of your CMS in only one directory and symlink the individual CMS instances that you want to use to point to this particular directory. This is called a symlink farm. Unfortunately its not possible to handle symlinks with FTP because the FTP protocol doesnt have such commands that operate on symlinks.
This scenario is a perfect one where Symlinker comes handy.
How can I install it?
1. Download symlinker.php and put it somewhere under your webspace.
2. Set the $password variable in the beginning of symlinker.php. This will be your login password that Symlinker will ask you upon login.
3. You may also set the $default_path variable in the beginning of symlinker.php. This will be your default path after login.
How can I use it?
First, point your browser to the URL where you put symlinker.php. Symlinker will ask you the login password, so enter it correctly and log in.
If everything went well, you should see a page that resembles the picture that you can see on the right side. Lets see what operations you can use here:
- You can navigate in the directory tree by using the navigation bar which resides in the top left corner of the page or editing the path argument in the URL.
- You can create a new symlink by entering the filename and the target of the symlink into the upper text fields and pressing the symlink button.
- You can update the target of the symlinks of the current directory by editing the text fields related to the specific filenames and pressing the update button.
- You can log out by visiting the logout link which resides in the top right corner of the page.
How can I set up a symlink farm?
To better understand how to set up a symlink farm, take a look at the picture on the right side.
I use the MediaWiki content management system here. I have a special directory, /web/monda/apps where I keep the installations of the CMSes that I use.
First, I create a symlink with the filename mediawiki which points to ../../apps/mediawiki-1.9.3, the exact version of the MediaWiki installation which I want to use within this directory. Later when I want to upgrade MediaWiki, I can just rename the target of this symlink to point to a more recent version of MediaWiki.
As you can see, most of the filenames in this directory are symlinked to mediawiki, but some are not. This is because most CMS holds some data which are specific to the individual CMS instances so they must have their own separate directory.
Enhancements:
- Logout works correctly.
- Works with register_globals turned off for better security.
