miniPager3D is a clone (copy) of the KDE applet minipager, but able to use use 3D Desktop to change the virtual desktop.
Of course you need to have 3ddesktop installed on your system.
miniPager3D project let you choose 3d Desktop preferences from an additionnal context menu.
Installation:
download the sources
extract it
cd into the created repository minipager3d
type the following command : ./configure --prefix=`kde-config` && make && su -c make install
to load the kapplet right click in the kicker panel-> add -> applet -> minipager3d.
Tested on mdk10.1/10.2b3 with kde-3.2.3/3.3.2 and 3ddesktop-0.2.7-1/ 0.2.8.
I recommand to use the latest release of 3ddesktop, 0.2.8 for it fixes an annoying bug.
Enhancements:
- add a version for kde3.3.2
- fixed small bug : zoomout is now read from config file

GNANT provides a custom icon pack for Gnome.
GNANT is a theme based on Mattahans outstanding work.
A big thanks to Dirk Vanden Boer for making some custom icons, I really love the gnome-netstatus icons, great job.
The set is far from complete, but it covers most of the frequently used applications. More icons are to be added soon.
I converted the icons from ico format to png using icoconvert and added them to the theme with gib.
Enhancements:
- more icons in every category
- stock icons
- add contribution from Dirk
- redhat specific icons

JScroll is a swing component for Java that provides a virtual desktop pane.
It provides a virtual desktop replete with dynamic scroll bars, dynamic menus, and dynamic button shortcuts.
The JScrollDesktopPane class surmounts the limitations of the original JDesktopPane Swing component, offering a solution to the clipping and overlap problems inherit to said component, and mimics the interface of the original JDesktopPane to provide an easy upgrade path.
It provides a scrolling MDI desktop, one of the most requested features to the Java JDK.

Windowgrouper 0.2
Windowgrouper is a GNOME 2 panel applet that allows you to group windows together. more>>
Windowgrouper is a GNOME 2 panel applet that allows you to group windows together so that when one window in a group is minimized, unminimized, or moved to another desktop, the same operation is applied to the other windows in that group.
Windowgrouper is very easy to use, and its arguably useful.
Installation:
After you download the source archive and extract the source tree, change to the top directory of the windowgrouper-applet tree. You can build and install Windowmake with the following commands:
./configure &&
make &&
sudo make install
This will install the applet under the /usr/local prefix. You may need to tell GNOME where to look to find the Windowgrouper applet. You can do this by editing the file /etc/bonobo-activation/bonobo-activation-config.xml and adding /usr/local/lib/bonobo/servers to the searchpath.
Alternatively, you can tell the configure script to install in the /usr prefix (or in which ever prefix your GNOME installation happens to be). This way, no further configuration is required. Here are the commands that I use:
./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib/gnome-panel &&
make &&
sudo make install
Usage:
Add the Windowgrouper applet to a panel like you would any other applet, by right clicking on the panel and selecting Add to Panel... Select the Windowgrouper applet from the Desktop & Windows section.
Clicking on the running applet will change the mouse pointer to the crosshairs cursor and a status window will appear in the middle of the screen to indicate that you can select a window. If you now click on a window a menu will pop up that allows you to assign the window to a group.
If you right click on the applet and select Collect New Group from the menu, you can click on a series of windows to add them all to a new group. When youre done selecting windows, just click on the desktop, the panel, or the Windowgrouper status window. You can cancel with the Escape key.
When one window in a group is hidden or minimized, so are the other members of the group. The same is true when a window is unminimized. Additionally, moving a window to a different workspace will move the other group members as well.

arm0nia 0.2
arm0nia is a modular desktop environment. more>>
arm0nia (harmony) is a group of projects that intend to create software for making UNIX and UNIX like operating systems, more powerfull and friendly. Our first goal is to create a Dynamic Modular Desktop Environment.
Installation
1. pm.conf
The PM needs to known on which directory it is installed.
1.1. Copy the pack/pm.conf to /etc
1.2. Fix the directory variable pmdir of the pm.conf with the correct path.
Example:
If the daemon is located in directory /opt/pm/
Make sure, that the following line is exist in /etc/pm.conf
pmdir=/opt/pm
2. LD_LIBRARY_PATH
We must update ldconfigs path to check our libraries and modules. That can be done with several ways.
Note: in the following examples, I suppose that PM is located on /opt/pm
2.a. The best is to update the /etc/ld.so.conf
Open that file and append two new paths.
If our PMs directory is the /opt/pm add the following lines
/opt/pm/lib
/opt/pm/plugins
Save the file and update the cache by running ldconfig without parameters
2.b. Another way is to update the LD_LIBRARY_PATH at the system startup.
2.b.1. on bash
Open the /etc/profile and append the following lines.
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/pm/lib:/opt/pm/plugins export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
2.b.2. on tcsh
Open the /etc/csh.cshrc and append the following line.
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /opt/pm/lib:/opt/pm/plugins
Finally do a reboot (you can avoid it, but if you known how, then you dont need to read my doc).
2.c. Another way is to update the LD_LIBRARY_PATH at the shells login script.
The shells login scripts are for bash: ~/.profile for tcsh: ~/.login
You must append the same text as for 2.b case
2.d. Of course, you can do it manually from CLI, but if you are new, use the 2.b case
3. make
Suppose that PM is located on /opt/pm
Use make on
/opt/pm to create daemon and libraries
/opt/pm/plugins to create the plugins
/opt/pm/apps to create the applications
4. run
Run pmd on a virtual-console and try the application on another.

Specto project is a desktop application that will watch configurable events (such as website updates, emails, file and folder changes, system processes, etc) and then trigger notifications.
For example, Specto can watch a website for updates (or a syndication feed, or an image, etc), and notify you when there is activity (otherwise, Specto will just stay out of the way). This changes the way you work, because you can be informed of events instead of having to look out for them.
