Mila NetWhistler 2.10
Netwhistler auto-detects networks and presents them on graphical maps, which reflect up-to-the-minute device and host status. more>>
NetWhistler 2.6 is a easy to use Network monitoring software that offers integrated fault and performance management functionality.
Mila NetWhistler project auto-detects networks and presents them on graphical maps, which reflect up-to-the-minute device and host status. It includes powerful diagnostic tools including ping, main services (ftp, ssh, smtp, pop3, http) monitoring, portscan, email alerts, network discovery, SNMP tools (MIB browser and Trap Console for incoming SNMP traps from any SNMP-enabled device in the network ).
NetWhistler 2.6 can automatically scan a network in search of non-SNMP and SNMP-enabled devices that you want to manage in your network. Scanning parameters ( network address, network mask, SNMP community ) are fully configurable.
Once the discovery operation has been completed, the program displays a map of all devices along with basic information about them such as address, DNS name, MAC address and description. You can find or delete a node on the map, or change node properties. The map can be stored in a local file or in a MySQL database.
Enhancements:
- New features include a Web console and the ability to import and export the database.
- The firewall builder was removed.
- Custom ping, mac-detect, and snmp-results scripts were added.
- Custom node types were added.
- Some bugfixes were made.

Daily Strip Manager 2.10
Daily strip manager is a simple PHP script that offers a more powerful user interface for browsing comic strips. more>>
Daily strip manager is a simple PHP script which offers more powerful user interface for browsing comic strips, downloaded by DailyStrips perl script, than static html pages.
Daily Strip Manager offers sorting, zooming to specific strip, duplicate control, keyboard navigation (2.0) and more. Nothing much for a quick PHP script, but it works for me.
DS Manager at this time only works with DailyStrips setup configured to put comic strip images in subdirectories using date as a filename (e.g. options -l --stripdir).
Images may actually end with whatever garbage but they MUST start with their full date in format specified in config.php, otherwise nothing would work at all.
You should also enable indexing and provide directory writable by PHP user to store indexes in, otherwise expect general slowness (probably this wont show much on some fancy-shmancy Xeon, but I use P3 as my web server, thank you very much.
DS Manager should itself (with all related files) be placed at the root of your strips collection, otherwise it wont work at all.
As of version 2.0, Daily Strip Manager uses XmlHttpRequest object, which adds dependencies on JavaScript and modern web-browsers (Mozilla flavours and IE6 seem to work fine, dunno about the rest). If you are somehow unhappy with this, use version 1.7 instead.
Enhancements:
- This release adds minor interface improvements.

Ghemical 2.10
Ghemical is a molecular modelling package with GUI and 3D-visualization tools. more>>
Ghemical is a computational chemistry software package released under the GNU GPL. It means that full source code of the package is available, and users are free to study and modify the package. Ghemical is written in C++.
Ghemical project has a graphical user interface (which is based on GNOME), and it supports both quantum-mechanics (semi-empirical and ab initio) models and molecular mechanics models (there is an experimental Tripos 5.2-like force field for organic molecules). Also a tool for reduced protein models [1] is included. Geometry optimization, molecular dynamics and a large set of visualization tools are currently available.
Ghemical relies on external code to provide the quantum-mechanical calculations. Semi-empirical methods MNDO, MINDO/3, AM1 and PM3 come from the MOPAC7 package (Public Domain), and are included in the source distribution.
The MPQC package (GNU GPL) is used to provide ab initio methods: the methods based on Hartree-Fock theory are currently supported with basis sets ranging from STO-3G to 6-31G**.
The MPQC code is not included in the source distribution. In order to use the MPQC-based ab initio methods in Ghemical, you must first compile and install the MPQC program for your system, and then compile Ghemical using some specific settings that link the programs together; see the INSTALL file for more information. Ghemical also contains the OpenBabel package for import and export of many different file formats (as well as other tasks).
Installation
Once you have downloaded the latest release, you should extract all files from your archive file using "tar -zxvvf ghemical-1.00.tgz" or equivalently "gunzip ghemical-1.00.tgz; tar -xvvf ghemical-1.00.tar". After that please read the "INSTALL"-file you just extracted to get additional information.

Template Lite 2.10
Template Lite is a smaller, faster alternative to the Smarty template engine. more>>
Template Lite is a smaller, faster alternative to the Smarty template engine.
For the most part, it is a drop in replacement for Smarty but uses around half of the memory and is considerably faster and far less CPU intensive when compiling and displaying templates.
Template lite was originally created by Paul Lockaby as a smaller replacement for Smarty. The original package was called Smarty Light. Even though Smarty is an Open Source project the creators of Smarty decided to trademark the name Smarty. Because of this trademarking of the name they contacted Paul Lockaby and told him he could nolonger use Smarty in the name for the package.
Paul Lockaby gave me permission to fork the project if I wanted as he was closing down support and developement for Smarty Light. The initial release of Template Lite contains a few minor bug fixes and some extra features.
I plan on adding more features to Template Lite over the next few months. For the most part Template Lite is a drop in replacement for Smarty. The nice thing about this package is how it uses around half of the memory of Smarty and it is considerably FASTER and far less CPU intensive when compiling and displaying templates.
Enhancements:
- register_resource and unregister_resource support was added.
- Different resources are supported by everything except for cached template output.
- The _get_resource internal function was added for processing "file:" and absolute tag resources.
- The resize_image plugin was added.
- Support for absolute paths to template files was fixed.

MILA::Transliterate 0.01
MILA::Transliterate is a Perl Module for transliterating text from Hebrew to various transliterations used in the Knowledge Cent more>>
MILA::Transliterate is a Perl Module for transliterating text from Hebrew to various transliterations used in the Knowledge Center for Processing Hebrew (MILA) and vise versa.
SYNOPSIS
use MILA::Transliterate qw((hebrew2treebank hebrew2erel hebrew2fsma);
my $erel_transliterated = hebrew2erel($utf8_encoded_hebrew_text);
my $treebank_transliterated = hebrew2treebank($utf8_encoded_hebrew_text);
my $fsma_transliterated = hebrew2fsma($utf8_encoded_hebrew_text);
# note that the reverse transliteration does NOT maintain final Hebrew letters!
Before UNICODE was widely used, applications that were manipulating Hebrew text usually used some transliteration into ASCII characters instead of using Hebrew letters. This was particularly true for software developed in the academia. MILA is a nick name for the Knowledge Center for Processing Hebrew (see: http://mila.cs.technion.ac.il/).
This knowledge center develops software and standards that result from research in natural language processing for Hebrew. As a result, some legacy software also needs to be maintained and such legacy software usually used transliteration.
This module contains mapping from UTF-8 encoded Hebrew to the various transliteration schemes that MILA needs to support and also contains the reversed mapping.

GMime is a set of utilities for parsing and creating messages using the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (MIME).
As a developer and user of Electronic Mail clients, I had come to realize that the vast majority of E-Mail client solutions had less-than-satisfactory MIME implementations. More often than not these E-Mail clients created broken MIME messages and/or would incorrectly try to parse a MIME message thus subtracting from the full benefits that MIME was meant to provide. GMime is meant to address this issue by following the MIME specification while also providing programmers with an extremely easy to use application programming interface.
