The Xbox Linux Project aims to privide a version of GNU/Linux for the Xbox, so that it can be used as an ordinary computer.
Linux should make use of all Xbox hardware and allow to install and run software from standard i386 Linux distributions.
An Xbox with Linux can be a full desktop computer with mouse and keyboard, a web/email box connected to TV, a server or router or a node in a cluster.
You can either dual-boot or use Linux only; in the latter case, you can replace both IDE devices. And yes, you can connect the Xbox to a VGA monitor.

Some Perls under Microsoft windows suffers disabilities over Unix Perls. One particular disability is a backtick without the console. Altough the Microsoft console, may be started without a window (start command with /b option or spawn program call), the Perl system command on windows usually creates a window. Creating a window causes immense user interface problem since it will randomly pop-up and take focus over the current window, erasing current entries into that window. Solutions such as "Proc::SafePipe" do not run on Perls for Window.

This module provides an answer by using the "open" command with a pipe to provide a backtick without a console that will run under Perls on Microsoft Windows.

pyemf is a pure python module that provides bindings for an ECMA-234 compliant vector graphics library.
ECMA-234 is the published interface for the Windows GDI used in the Microsoft windows environment and, more importantly, natively supported by the OpenOffice suite of tools.
Enhancements:
- This is the first non-beta release, which fixes a few problems when running with Python 2.2.
- It has been tested with Python 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4.

Matrix GL is a 3D screensaver for Linux and Microsoft Windows, based on "The Matrix Reloaded".
For running it you need a graphics card with an OpenGL support. Source code is available under the GNU GPL.
Installation
- Unpack the tar.gz file and place files in temporary directory
- Run the console with root privilegies and run matrix_gl with "install" option: ./matrix_gl -install
- In "Control Centre" choose "Look and feel"->"Screensaver" and set the Matrix GL
- Matrix GL requires freely distributable library Glut.

BibleStudy is one of many frontends to the Sword project. The sword project is a library which provides access to many religious works.

Almost 100% of which are Christian. There are dozens of translations of the bible in many languages, as well as commentaries, dictionaries and some various books.

BibleStudy is written using the wxWidgets crossplatform API. It is currently available for Microsoft Windows and Linux, but it is possible to make a MacOS build. If anyone is interested please let me know.
