5.56mm Full Metal Jacket is a Doom 3 multiplayer modification
5.56mm Full Metal Jacket takes place in a fictive Environment where you have a West and an East team. Accordingly to your team you will get the full weapon-arsenal available supported by your side.
There are 5 classes of weapons .... Pistols, Shotguns, Sub-Machineguns, Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles. The target system will feature 2 modes ... Aiming with the cross-hair which gets less and less precise the further away you shoot or aiming through the weapons sights which influences the overall field of view but therefore is damn pretty precise.
The game features first- and thirdperson view though when in thirdperson the lack of a crosshair makes aiming more difficult. The levels will vary between huge outdoor scenarios and narrow office corridors.
Supported gametypes are: Capture the Flag, Team DeathMatch
Supported weapons so far are:
Pistols: RUGER MK 512, GLOCK 17
Shotguns: BENELLI M3, EICHLER
SMGs: MP5SD6, MAC10
Assault Rifles: XM177E2(AR15), AK-47
Sniper Rifles: AWM, M24

EtherDam 0.4
EtherDam is a firewall configuration engine that relies on iptables. more>>
EtherDam is a firewall configuration engine that relies on iptables. It presents firewall configuration as a somewhat simpler scripting language thats still flexible enough for most purposes.
So why not just use iptables?
Well, lets just face one thing: iptables is a pain to manage. By pain, I mean a heavy dull throb that seems ready to make your head explode. Its nice to finally have a stateful firewalling facility for Linux, but you have to remember fifteen or so different arrangements of the iptables options just to make a simple bare-metal NAT box. Its enough to send you running back to OpenBSD.
One day, I got tired of that. So I came up with EtherDam.
My goal with EtherDam was to create a simplified firewall configuration language rather than remember or look up several complex incantations of the iptables command. EtherDam is a wrapper; it still uses iptables as a back-end. The processing engine is also fast, though its not extremely well tested.
The language itself is fairly complete--complete enough for a decent firewall--though its not properly documented yet.
Enhancements:
- etherdam.in:
- added IPTABLES command support.
- added MSS command for TCP MSS clamping.
- firewall.conf.5.in: documented MSS command, fixed typos.
- firewall.conf.in: added example MSS command usage.
- configure, configure.ac, etherdam.spec: bumped version number.
- new release (release 0.4)

Metastorage 2006.11.22
Metastorage is a PHP data access object generator compiler tool. more>>
Metastorage is a PHP data access object generator compiler tool.
Metastorage is an application that automatically generates code for an Object Oriented API to store, retrieve and manipulate the persistent objects of classes described in a high level data model definition.
Metastorage provides a much more efficient development process for medium or large size applications that store and retrieve data from SQL based databases or other types of storage persistence containers, like XML files, flat file databases or LDAP servers.
When storing objects in SQL databases, Metastorage generated code performs efficient object-relational mapping. Metastorage antecipates static storage optimization decisions at compile time, so applications gain in performance, code size and memory usage by avoiding evaluating static decisions at run time.
Main features:
XML definition format
- Easy to write and understand component definition format in XML
Database schemas
- Automatic generation of (database) schema definition of the persistence container
Automatic generation of all classes
- Generates all the code for the data classes, factory class and (database) schema installation class
Self-contained code
- The generated code is self-contained and does not depend on MetaL or libraries of code that are not supplied
Object Query Language
- Provides an Object Query Language (OQL) to define expressions to filter objects in search queries
No SQL
- All code is generated without the need for the developer to write SQL code manually
Forms
- Generation of classes to create, validate and process Web forms to manage objects of the data classes.
Reports
- Generation of classes to execute queries to retrieve data from many objects to elaborate reports or to execute another kind of bulk processing
UML Diagrams
- Automatic generation of Entity-Relationship graphs in UML of the component class diagram

Impact 0.7.5
Impact is a finite element program based on an explicit time stepping algorithm. more>>
Impact project is an open source, free finite element program which can be used to predict most dynamic events such as car crashes or metal sheet punch operations. They usually involve large deformations and high velocities.
Simulations are made on a virtual three dimensional model which can be created with a pre-processor or with the built-in Fembic language. Results are viewed in a post-processor.
Impact is designed to interface with the included pre- and postprocessor by default, but there are also interfaces available for more advanced pre-and postprocessors such as GiD or Gmsh. Impact also has rudamentary support for Nastran file format.
Development is made by a team of volunteers from all over the world with the aim of creating a clean and compact program which is simple to understand and use.
Impact is licensed under the Gnu Public License which makes it free to use and modify as long as you release and publish your improvements under the same license.
Impact is written in Java which means it can be run on most hardware and operating systems.
Enhancements:
- The entire preprocessor model can now be saved in the .in file.
- It is possible to script drive the geometry and FE model by manually editing the .in file and then reading it into the preprocessor.
- A bug was fixed in the post-processor where Gradient Result is now visible in the OpenGL accelerated version.

OpenPlay 2.2r2
OpenPlay is a cross-platform network abstraction layer. more>>
OpenPlay is a cross-platform network abstraction layer. OpenPlay is designed to simplify the task of creating programs which communicate across multiple computers and has been used in dozens of commercial products. Includes NetSprocket API compatability.
Getting Started With OpenPlay
There are currently a few sample applications available to help you understand the workings of OpenPlay/NetSprocket:
OPExample1 is the best place to start. This example is a complete mini-game for multiple players and demonstrates how to host and join games, as well as sending, receiving data and how to handle various chores related to networking with OpenPlay. This example has both a Protocol and NetSprocket networking example, and can server as a decent learning tool for the APIs as well as a good starting point for your own game. The networking code (nsp_network or op_network) was designed to be fairly easy to bring to another app, so although it is not 100% application independent it should be easy enough to figure out how to make it work in yours.
OpenPlayTest is a small application that allows you to explore the basic features of OpenPlay, including setting up a client/server connection via the cross-platform GUI, enumerating through a list of available hosts, sending packets and streams between processes, and so forth. The code can be a bit daunting to newcomers, however.
OPMiniDemo is a stripped down "bare metal" example of the lowest elements of OpenPlay, using a crude text-based menu to drive a fixed single-connection client/server topology. Its severely limited functionality helps reveal the core workings of an OpenPlay application, however. MiniPlay is meant to be learning tool, not a foundation on which to build your application.
OPEnumTest is a simple app focusing on OpenPlays enumeration routines -functions for creating a list of games currently on the network and joining based on that.
NSpTestApp is a small application that allows you to explore and test the NetSprocket component of OpenPlay. You can do pretty much anything in the API here via lists of commands, so its a good way to orient yourself with the workings of NSp. In the Documentation folder, youll find a step by step list of commands to run to ensure NetSprocket is working properly.
Enhancements:
- fixed missing functions in export files

Hexagonal Minesweeper 0.2.1
Hexagonal Minesweeper is a puzzle game, inspired by famous Minesweeper. more>>
Hexagonal Minesweeper is a puzzle game, inspired by famous Minesweeper. HexaMine is puzzle game is based on idea of famous Minesweeper.
Classic Minesweeper quickly becomes boring for experienced player as he remembers most of restricted set of possible game situations, and nothing can challenge him to thing more then 3 seconds any more.
Proprietary MegaMiner by Astatix Software, has introduced mines with variable power to solve this problem, but it created a new one: there were too much situations when player had to guess rather then prove.
HexaMine has taken te idea of MegaMiner a lot further. Here are features, which allow HexaMine to present even most experienced player nontrivial challenging yet solvable game situations:
1) Different mine powers. Exactly as in MegaMiner.
2) Hexagonal grid. This reduces the number is possible situations for any single cell. This also makes surrounding of a cell look nore like a circle, which is more intuitive.
3) Concept of close and far neighborhood. There is nothing new about first one, as it is just sum of mine powers of ajacent cells. Far neighborhood is entirely new concept. Think of real metal detector. It can pick up any mine within small radius, say of 1 meter. This is exactly the close neighborhood. But mentioned metal detector can also pick up larger objects within bigger radius, say 2 meters, although the signal is weaker. This is exactly the concept of far neighborhood. For each empty cell the close neighborhood threat is calculated as mentioned above, although for far neighborhood threat each mine is reduced by 1 category. Smallest mines are not taken into account, larger ones seem smaller. Both threats are specified for open empty cell.
4) In contrast to other known to me Minesweeper-like games, in HexaMine you never know neither number of mines of each power, nor exact total number of mines.
The bottom line, (1) and (4) creates mathematically finite but practically countless number of different game situations, while (2) and (3) give player enough information, although very complicate, to solve vast majority of them without need to guess.

CGI::Ex::App 2.06
CGI::Ex::App is a anti-framework application framework. more>>
CGI::Ex::App is a anti-framework application framework.
Fill in the blanks and get a ready made web application. This module is somewhat similar in spirit to CGI::Application, CGI::Path, and CGI::Builder and any other "CGI framework." As with the others, CGI::Ex::App tries to do as much of the mundane things, in a simple manner, without getting in the developers way. Your mileage may vary.
If you build applications that submit user information, validate it, re-display it, fill in forms, or separate logic into separate modules, then this module may be for you. If all you need is a dispatch engine, then this still may be for you. If all want is to look at user passed information, then this may still be for you. If you like writing bare metal code, this could still be for you. If you dont want to write any code, this module will help - but you still need to provide you key actions.

Tree Style Tab 0.7.2009072401
Tree Style Tab is an excellent and must-see product which offers a beautiful and easy-to-use tree-style tab bar, like a folder tree of Windows Explorer. more>>
Tree Style Tab 0.7.2009072401 is an excellent and must-see product which offers a beautiful and easy-to-use tree-style tab bar, like a folder tree of Windows Explorer. New tabs opened from links (or etc.) are automatically attached to the parent tab. If you often use many many tabs, it will help your web browsing because you can understand relations of tabs. This is developed under a project to restructure TBE for Firefox 2.
Major Features:
- Tree example. New tabs from link (or etc.) are opened as children of the original tab.
- You can collapse/expand sub trees. It is convenient for too many tabs.
- When you close a tab which has collapsed sub tree, all of tabs in the sub tree will be closed only one action.
- Tab bar can be moved to leftside, rightside, top, or bottom. Horizontal tree is also available. Moreover, vertical tab bar can be shown/hidden automatically.
- You can open new tab between existing tabs, dropping link or URL string there.
- New child tab can be opened automatically from the location bar, if the website is same to the current tab's. Of course, different website can be opened in new tab too.
- You can save/restore the tree of tabs over sessions, by Session Manager or other session-management addons.
- Drag and drop is available to modify relations of tabs and to rearrange. The behavior seems to be like "layer tree " of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
- If you focus to the tab bar, Ctrl-Up/Down/Right/Left can be used to modify tree.
- A built-in theme, "Metal" is available. It will match to the default theme on Mac OS X.
- Multiple Tab Handler can work with this. drag-and-do features of it will be more useful.
- Informational Tab also works. With the Multiple Tab Handler, Firefox becomes like old Firefox powered by TBE.
Enhancements:
- Improved: "Gather to a New Tree" is available for selected tabs, with Multiple Tab Handler.
- Improved: Dummy parent tabs which have no child are automatically closed.
- Modified: "auto" style for tree twisties always works as "retro", if thumbnails in tabs of Informational Tab are shown in the row same to tab label.
- Improved: Checkboxes for "New Tab" and "List All Tabs" buttons save their value for each position: vertical or horizontal.
- Modified: When the current tab is closed, the previous visible tab will be focused instead of the previous sibling.
- Fixed: Operations when tabs are dropped to the tab bar work correctly on Firefox 3.5.
- Fixed: With vertical tab bar, you can move the dragged tab to a new window correctly, when you drop it onto the content area.
- Fixed: The appearance of "New Tab" button is correctly updated after you switch tab bar position from horizontal to vertical.
- Fixed: Works with Focus Last Selected Tab 0.9.5.x.
- Fixed: With Tab Mix Plus, focus control by Tree Style Tab is available if you set to focus to the right tab when you close the current tab.
- Updated: de-DE locale is updated by Andy Pillip.

Mondo Rescue 2.2.4
Mondo it backs up your GNU/Linux server or workstation to tape, CD-R, CD-RW, NFS or hard disk partition. more>>
Mondo it backs up your GNU/Linux server or workstation to tape, CD-R, CD-RW, NFS or hard disk partition. In the event of catastrophic data loss, you will be able to restore all of your data [or as much as you want], from bare metal if necessary.
Mondo is in use by Lockheed-Martin, Nortel Networks, Siemens, HP (US and France), IBM, NASAs JPL, the US Dept of Agriculture, dozens of smaller companies, and tens of thousands of users.
Mondo is comprehensive. Mondo supports LVM, RAID, ext2, ext3, JFS, XFS, ReiserFS, VFAT, and can support additional filesystems easily: just e-mail the mailing list with your request. It supports adjustments in disk geometry, including migration from non-RAID to RAID. Mondo runs on all major Linux distributions and is getting better all the time. You may even use it to backup non-Linux partitions, such as NTFS.
Mondo is free! It has been published under the GPL (GNU Public License), partly to expose it to thousands of potential beta-testers but mostly as a contribution to the Linux community. I charge for 1-to-1 technical support to fund Mondos development.
