GMediaServer is a UPnP music media server. GMediaServer project implements the server component that provides UPnP media devices with information on available audio files. GMediaServer uses the built-in http server of libupnp to stream the audio files to clients.

A number of media devices have been tested and are confirmed to work with GMediaServer. Among then are NETGEAR MP101, Linksys WMLS11B and WML11B, Philips Streamium SL300i and RC9800i, and Omnify DMS1. See below for a full list.

Other UPnP media devices (including software based) may work as well - see below for a more detailed list of supported devices. For a quick start, see the Usage and Known Bugs sections below.

GMediaServer is written in C by Oskar Liljeblad. It should compile and run on any modern POSIX compatible system such as Linux. GMediaServer is a console based application which is usually run in the background.

GMediaServer is free software - it is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).

MediaLibrary is a multi-platform free software that lets you catalog your media files ( CD-Rs, DVDs...)
Its main purpose is to reference your media files in a category tree with any comment. You can then easily find any file you are looking for.
MediaLibrary is Free Software available under the terms of the GNU/GPL running on Java.

- Adc uses a nonstandard date storage format, so there may be up to 4 min delay between adc dates loaded from pure adc and stored by MediaLibrary

Device Control Device is a platform independent remote telescope and device control program compatible with the INDI standard (see http://indi.sourceforge.net/).

This program is a client (a user interface) and provides functions to control devices connected to a remote system that is running an INDI server.

The features and the structure of the GUI are similar to the Kstars INDI client. The only advantages are support for Windows and lower resource requirements.

Device::Gsm is a Perl extension to interface GSM phones / modems.

Device::Gsm class implements basic GSM functions, network registration and SMS sending.

This class supports also PDU mode to send SMS messages, and should be fairly usable. In the past, I have developed and tested it under Linux RedHat 7.1 with a 16550 serial port and Siemens C35i/C45 GSM phones attached with a Siemens-compatible serial cable. Currently, Im developing and testing this stuff with Linux Slackware 10.2 and a Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) USB bluetooth dongle, connecting to a Nokia 6600 phone.

Recent versions of Device::Gsm have also an utility called autoscan in the bin/ folder, that creates a little profile of the devices it runs against, that contains information about supported commands and exact output of commands to help recognize similar devices.

Poisson Media Recovery project can be used to retrieve slightly damaged files from CD-ROM media.

It sequentially mounts and umounts the device, and on each mount it tries to read as many new 512 byte sectors as possible.

I was able to use this tool to save some files from old CDs.
