Lingua::Phonology::Features is a module to handle a set of hierarchical features.

Lingua::Phonology::Features allows you to create a hierarchy of features of various types, and includes methods for adding and deleting features and changing the relationships between them.

By "heirarchical features" we mean that some features dominate some other features, as in a tree. By having heirarchical features, it becomes possible to set multiple features at once by assigning to a node, and to indicate conceptually related features that are combined under the same node. This module, however, does not instantiate values of features, but only establishes the relationships between features.

Lingua::Phonology::Features recognizes multiple types of features. Features may be privative (which means that their legal values are either true or undef), binary (which means they may be true, false, or undef), or scalar (which means that their legal value may be anything). You can freely mix different kinds of features into the same set of features.

Finally, while this module provides a full set of methods to add and delete features programmatically, it also provides the option of reading feature definitions from a file. This is usually faster and more convenient. The method to do this is "loadfile". Lingua::Phonology::Features also comes with an extensive default feature set.

Installation:
Type
./configure
to execute the configure script. You must have installed wxWindows 2.6 or
higher (including the headers.
wxWindows 2.4 and 2.5 do NOT compile anymore.
Type
make (hope that everythings going right)
su (enter your root password)
make install
You may start the Application using the command
/usr/local/bin/maitreya
If you dont want to run make install (or you dont have the permission), just run the programm by entering
./gui/maitreya

RasterImageManipulator is a free program for image processing and fractal exploration. It has many features for customizing the appearance of fractal images.
These include special filters, a palette editor, gradient palette creator, and animated palette cycling.
Enhancements:
- The fractal buffer handling was cleaned up, and support for animated GIF export was added to the color cycling component.
- Build issues with Java 1.5 were fixed.

MiaouIRC is an RFC 1459-compatible IRC client written in Java/Swing. It has some useful features like choosing your Look n Feel, customizing your nick friend list, highly verbose logging, searching a keyword in a channel, private message panels, etc.

It supports multi-server connections, DCC CHAT, SEND, ACCEPT and RESUME, CTCP commands, nick autocompletions, mIRC colors, autoreconnects, and autojoins. A DCC queue list is available to tracing your leeching activities with IRC FServ.

MiaouIRC is still a simple use Java application, but, with many features which are proper to, like :

- The possibility for choosing the Look And Feel
- DCC SEND, CHAT and OFFER with a DCC queue monitoring. Very useful for an intensive use on "DCCing" with FServ IRC Bot !
- MiaouIRC is also multi-server
- A logging system is available too, so you can trace all interactions between this program client and the IRC server, log by channel or by private message.
- Multiple configurations management, easy to load from one to another.

Configuration saves are only memorized on files, never on registers basis, in a Windows system type.

Consonance is a .NET/Gtk# client for the OpenGroupware groupware server.

Consonance connects to the OpenGroupware.org groupware service via the ZideStore service; the ZideStore service must have a current version of the zOGI bundle installed.

NOTE: As of 2007-05-28 Consonance and the ZOGI .NET client assembly is being targeted at .NET 2.0 in order to use Db4o as a client side cache. This means Mono users must have at least Mono 1.2.4. Earlier version of Mono contain a bug/deficiency when in .NET 2.0 mode that prevents them from being able to perform HTTP authentication. The GUI application Consonance requires Gtk# 2.8.3 or better.

Those who cry "Bloatware!" deflector - Consonance is a groupware client, not a PIM. It is intended from the beginning to be a large application, with significant resource requirements, with many features. Groupware is software for those with complex collaboration needs, those with simpler needs wont "get it". We are just fine with that; dont bother to try and explain to us how we are wrong because you have different needs.
